Great little place, easy to get to and within easy distance of the city centre, public transport etc.
Room was clean, cosy and bed was comfortable. Directions to get in were precise and easy to follow and in all a great place to stay. Would use again and would recommend.

Contact with the owners was efficient. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Only slight downside was the TV coming on randomly twice in the middle of the night.

Great place to stay for the night excellent options for food and drink close by . Metro centre easy and quick walking distance. Quality room and facilities very comfortable bed had a great night sleep. Overall needed somewhere to get our head's down for the night before carrying on with our journey this ticks the box will definitely come back again. Very good communication and easy to find.

Nice clean room, extremely comfy bed. Good communication from owner to gain key. Was even nice of her to have the room ready early as I was meeting someone at the metrocentre. Would definitely recommend and will definitely back for another stay when I'm in the area.

Clean rooms that had all the accroutrements of an hotel. Nothing plush but enough for a comfortable stay. It was great that we were able to have all 3 rooms. Excellent communications with owner

I needed only one night stay in Newcastle and found this property by accident after unsuccessful expensive attempts with Premier Inn and Travelodge.
Very-very happy! I had full instructions with the photos for check-in which was easy to follow. It took me only 20 minutes on the bus from the train station. Lidl is just across the road and the pub if you need, around the corner.
The room was very cosy, with huge bed, towels, fridge and plenty of tea and coffee.
Highly recommend this property, thank you

Close enough to city centre. Places to eat without having to drive plus a Lidl across the road. Fridge & kettle in room. Little communal kitchen to share between the 3 rooms at this property. Would return.

If you’re looking for a cheap, comfortable secret little bolt hole for one night to sort yourself before ‘moving on’ this is perfect. Don’t expect glitz n glamour but more than adequately suitable. FREE PARKING (not onsite but two mins walk) whats not to like about that…… NOTHING! Decent Fish.n Chip shop called Maguire’s with easy striking distance!💪👍

Good convenient accommodation for a short stay. Although fairly basic it was clean and had all the facilities needed. Given the price it was really good value. The location was good and close to a wide range of restaurants etc. The parking was very close but a clearer description of its location would be helpful

At first it was hard to find as its hidden behind a fence, but secure. We had to park in the chip shop opposite as there is no parking, the agent that gave us the keys and explained everything was polite and friendly. The room was clean. We would stop again as the price was reasonable and near to where we were visiting

Although an unusual stay in terms of meeting to collect the keys, Kim, the owner, was very amenable and friendly, going above and beyond to make me feel welcome and assist in my onward journey to avoid traffic. The room and ensuite was very clean, with lots of tea and coffee available, and a very comfy bed!

Overpriced for what it is with no breakfast included, owners do not stay at cottage, they meet you in a chip shop car park to give the key to cottage, entrance down an alley!!!!, very bare room with painted walls.

Arrived in afternoon greeted by friendly handyman, went out for tea and came back in dark , very different place! Not a lot of lighting in walk from unsecured carpark, about 60 yards, quite foreboding walking up alleyway. Wife tried to get a shower but water was scolding hot, could not get water any cooler, called handyman who came approx half hour later as he was having his tea! but could not fix , .nothing else was offered so no alternative but to have strip wash and wash hair in sink, not ideal when going on a night out! When I complained to the owner she offered us 50% off next visit , said wont be back for twelve months but had no reply. Needless to say we wont be returning

Good for the price, but I could hear everything the other guests did or said through thin walls. The TV noise was quite distracting. Can I suggest a small desk placed below the TV might help a lot of guests, and blackout curtains would reduce street light. I could not get on to the internet, and an alarm went off very nearby for some time.

Booked here 1 night to stay locally for business, it is more like a little flat than a cottage but with 3/4 rooms which all lock so self contained. Fridge in the room, cooking facilities in a shared kitchen and would be ideal for a group of friends I think who want a bit more freedom than a hotel would offer. The owner met me and showed me round etc. and all perfectly fine. Not 5* by any means but what I needed and good value.

The staff where helpful and polite, John aided in finding the guest house and met me in the local car park. The guest house was very clean and tidy, the bed was comfy and i had three nights of unbroken sleep. I will be using this accommodation if i return to the area.

The lodge is very nice, comfortable and a 1 minute away from the bus stop to major places, only make sure to pre-arrange with the house holder as there are no signs to direct you to the place neither any number or even small signI dislike the early check out time
