Hosts were some of the best I’ve seen, couldn’t do enough for us. And the cooked breakfast delivered to the room each morning was absolutely superb and probably the best value I’ve had in a long time. Older motel but very clean and tidy, and well maintained. Highly recommend, great value.

Very budget stay - uncomfortable bed, very cold, no cutlery or crockery for eating (although a microwave). Very clean and nice towels. Hosts were lovely.

It was a budget hotel for one-night stopovers, rather dated in furnishing, but had everything you needed for a short stay so did the job. Rather noisy but I had earplugs.

Our stay at Big River most enjoyable found it quiet very little road noise, and walking distant to the main shopping precinct. Rooms clean, towels etc changed daily.

Had our booking cancelled a few hours prior to arrival as we were running late even though I had flagged with them multiple times throughout the day we wouldn’t arrive until around 9pm at the earliest. Rude staff terrible language over the phone. Would never recommend staying here avoid at all cost.

Didnt like sml room with no vanity. I needed a vanity as i have medical needs and nowhere to put medical aids. Shower curtain wouldnt keep water off floor. Floor slippery. No exhaust fan. Room sml and nothing like photo. Breakfast good. And room clean

On this stay our staff did actually stay in the hotel and they were in room 7, the room was okay but very dated most of these rooms in this establishment are dated and looks like they need a serious over haul. The traffic noise from the busy hustle and bustle of High Street isn't ideal but that's life booking in that area. With in Walking Distance is the Top Of The Town Fish and chip shop that our staff love and KFC. Pizza shops around the town deliver to this motel too. Our staff members partner checked in and was greeted rudely by the female owner Debbie, and upon check out was rudely spoken to when she didn't have a mask. Masks aren't really mandatory anywhere expect public transport. Check out wasn't easy breezy lemon squeezy like it should be, there's no room for attitude especially on returning guests. Upon spending the night in the room, our male staff member who is a commercial cleaner noticed the bath rooms weren't totally clean with some build up of grim,chewing gum under the bed, and rat sack or something green under the bed when a shirt fell off the bed. This establishment is not a strong recommendation for the area, please choose elsewhere. Our company will no longer supply staff bookings to this establishment we've advised other business's to abort too.

The company has put staff in the establishment in the past and have been greeted with rude service and angry attitude in the past and we've let it fly - every on has bad days. Clearly they have more than bad days - this booking was actually refused from the premise with no reason given other than the male abused the partner of the staff member staying in the establishment. The week of Easter our staff had to rush around to find accommodation at a drop of a pin while juggling multiple other tasks. Rooms in the past have been dated and not always cleaned to the standard you'd expect but that's okay for budget I guess. The rudeness and attitude of the staff isn't - The staff even hung up on au.hotels.com staff, and the number AU.HOTELS.COM has for them on their back end is disconnected.
