Massive self contained apartment, had everything you need. The pool was lovely and warm, there was also a baby pool and spa. They had a great outdoor area with a BBQ and tables and even a fridge to put your food in. There was a gym and a sauna. Near the lifts they had a book library. Opposite is a lovely warm beach to swim in, lots of restaurants in walking distance.

Quality apartment in a modern complex. We stayed on the top floor and enjoyed the winter sun until early afternoon. A short walk to the beach and all shopping and dining nearby.

The apartment was huge, so much space and clean with a massive patio. The pool was heated which was great and we also used the sauna that the property has. Everything was close by and we enjoyed an early morning walk on the esplanade and beach just across the street. Very pleasant and comfortable stay! Thanks

Apartment and balcony size was great, modern and clean. Use of tennis court was fun, and pool area was nice and sunny. Bathroom/shower could do with a refresh, but that is something that I'm particular about, it was still clean and functional.

These are really nice apartments in a great location just across the road from the water. Our apartment had partial ocean views and a huge balcony, full kitchen with dishwasher, dining, lounge, laundry facilities and nice comfortable furnishings. Our flight from Brisbane to Hervey Bay was cancelled by Qantas so we arrived late (by bus). Anne was so helpful bringing extra milk and coffee pods to the apartment before we arrived so we would have something for the morning before our 7.20am pickup for a whale watching tour. The apartment had everything we needed and was a great home away from home. The TV had Foxtel and WiFi was good, beds were nice and comfy. It's in a secure complex with token required to get in the doors, up the lifts, and thru the gates to the street front. There's a nice pool and a tennis court also. There are several restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and the Beach House hotel with bottle-shop nearby. We would definitely stay at The Bay Apartments again if we are back in Hervey Bay, highly recommended.

The pictures did not match the room. There was no ocean view, no spa on veranda, but the instructions to use the spa were in our room. Would’ve been great to know the pool was heated on check in, or when we called to ask where our spa was. The floors were so dirty, I had to clean my 2yrs old feet constantly. The ensuite shower is not appealing to use, I laid out the bath mat to stand on, in fear of catching tinea because the square tiles are old. I could hear so much noise from the apartment above, there were no chain lock on the doors, so on level 1 with exposed foyer area, I did not sleep. Crime is high in Hervey Bay these days, and having to park outside the property on our last night made our stay absolutely horrible! We often stay in more expensive properties while visiting family and this hotel does not have the luxuries other properties provide. The bed was awful, I actually slept better on the couch, which is very disappointing at the rate we paid. No point bringing this up with staff when we know they couldn’t move us and can’t offer any complimentary breakfast or anything. Maybe they should get coffee vouchers for future disappointed guest.

Beautiful property… Hot Tub wash a lovely surprise and was much appreciated… Having stayed in various hotels and self catering apartments over the last month whilst travelling in Australia… This was the most expensive… However, attention to detail is needed in the cleaning department… All the lamp shades were extremely dusty… the shower head kept falling out of its socket… lots of ants in the bathroom and kitchen… For the price… I expected more… Only met one person at the property.. a lady named Melissa who was so nice…

We had the three bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and clean with separate bathrooms and two tv areas so lots of room for our family. We extended for a day (twice) and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. We were a little confused upon our late arrival because the key fob wouldn’t work and then we realised there were TWO separate building entrances and we were at the wrong one. That’s my only negative comment. We have already booked there again.

Very quiet and well maintained. Secure parking, greatvpool and bbq area. Super big 3 bed apartment. Excellent location for walking to eateries, the beach for swimming and easy to sit a while away a day watching the world go by.

It didn’t feel beachy at all. Wasn’t as open as I would have expected but was clean & had all amenities. Only problem was leak in main bathroom ceiling on the last morning. Water was dripping through from above.

Stunning apartments and property. Tastefully appointed with plenty of room and immaculate apartment. Pool area was lovely, although spa not working. However, we had a spa apartment and that was fabulous. Would highly recommend this property.

We came to Scarness to visit my daughter and her family and so happy we found the Bay Apartments. It’s located opposite the beach and has a great lap pool, wading pool for kiddies and large spa, plus sauna and bbq area. The apartments rooms are spacious and have everything to make a great holiday. Will always stay there now
