The staff was fantastic.
The room was reasonably clean. Dishes were questionably clean.
We were shocked when we arrived to find that the water was not safe for drinking. Supposedly it just tested positive for a minuscule amount of e-coli. The property did provide an adequate amount of drinking water.
Along that lines, They provide cookware but there were no knives for cutting, no cutting boards, no cooking utensils. You were expected to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. We hauled in our own safe water for washing dishes and heated it up in our electric kettle and used our own dish basins just like we were camping.
The communal kitchen had a sink full of dirty dishes and a single burner hot plate for cooking. Think there was a burner attached to the propane grill but the state of the kitchen and the water situation turned us off. We resigned ourselves to cold meals we could easily prepare with few dishes required and used paper and plastic for eating.
Don’t think we’ll be back.

Location is away from the highway. Lots of bugs at night. Cabins are basic and don't feel the cleanest, would be best for people wanting to be in nature. Decent Wi-Fi and you can take a hot shower in the woods.
4.2
A lot of mosquitoes but a great place otherwise.
4.2
Great little place. Loved the community kitchen and fire pit. Met great people.
4.2
Very clean and cozy little cabin. The lighting wasn't great. The greeters were very nice. Each cabin has its own bathroom and shower, a microwave, small fridge, and a hot plate. No wifi, but the TVs have dvd players and movies are available at the office. We didn't join in on the nightly campfire, so we have no opinion either way. The cabins are a short drive from Golden.

If you love nature and adventure. This place is perfect for you

One of the best cottages ever stayed at. Beautiful area to have a great fire anytime and loads of free wood.
4.2
Cool crisp mountain air, could see the starry sky, seen unexpected animals.
It was so quiet. Firepit and walking paths were a bonus.
Such a gem.
First time staying here but definitely not the last.
Cabin was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable.
Staff were friendly and helpful. room cabins

Our cabin was perfectly fine for what we needed for our brief stay. There was a kettle to make coffee, and although there were a few dishes and glasses in the room, there were no mugs, so coffee wasn't possible. Our parking spot was close to our cabin and we appreciated that. No tissues in the room. Wifi was free and worked as well as we needed.

The hotel is nestled in a beautiful natural setting, surrounded by lush greenery and eco friendly. We enjoyed the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature.
4.2
2nd parking lot could be improved. Not much space to turn around in.
4.2
The property is impeccably maintained, emphasizing nature.

The little cabins are very clean and very comfortable. Just remember you're in a cabin in the woods, not a 5 star hotel. The beds were comfortable, it was quiet, and safe. The parking situation is not ideal but it's doable. It's about half a mile up a dirt road. The "wi-fi" wasn't strong enough to reach our cabin, but we just went up by the office if we needed to use it. My only "complaint" was the lady in the office. She appeared bothered when I asked about wi-fi and was not friendly at all. Overall it was a nice stay. Keep in mind these are rustic buildings, not log cabins.

Best place to stay with your family and friends surrounding with trees and mountains nice and quiet environment.
4.2
It was exactly as advertised. The hardest part was making the 180 to get on road leading up to the cabin. The road was all maintained
4.2
Nice location but housekeeping service is poor
4.2
Clean, private cabins, rustic grounds with lots of trees, birds and other wildlife. They have outdoor games for kids.
It’s an area 5 minutes off the Hwy, a short 15 minute drive out of Golden, in a peaceful setting.
We met and visited with the friendly staff and other visitors.
We will definitely stay here again.

The cabin is good considering price. I stayed there for a night with family and it was wonderful stay on the hill. Safe, clean and family friendly.

Good place to unwind. Excellent property owner. Kudos to Jim Noonan and his team.

On the positive side, the cabin was good value for the money. The pricing was quite affordable, which is a significant plus point for anyone looking for a budget-friendly retreat without compromising on location.
The cabin’s location was indeed its strongest suit. Nestled in a serene spot, it offered the peace and tranquility one seeks from such an escape. This aspect alone made the stay worthwhile and is a compelling reason to consider it for a low-cost vacation.
On the flip side, the cabin’s amenities, particularly the blankets and towels, were average and in need of an upgrade. They did not match the comfort and quality one would expect, even at a lower price point. This was a letdown and something that the management should address to enhance the overall guest experience.

Nice cabin in the mountain. Nothing fancy here but it’s got all you need. Big shear kitchen, fire pit to sit and talk to other people, nice bench to look out beautiful mountain. Good price as well. I’ll come back this cabin again.
4.2
Isolated cabins (so bring what you need for dinner etc) but very modern, comfortable, and with all the facilities in your room to make a simple meal. ALarge communnal kitchen if you wnat to do something more elaborate. Very very quiet area. I half expected a bear to roam through the property at any time. Friendly staff who prepared a campfire for everyone. If you want a "in the forest" experience", this is a great choice
4.2
Great for this price !!
But two BBQs is not enough for such many houses
4.2
We really enjoyed this cabin for a one night stop on our trip. It was clean and cute and the area was so nice. It was the perfect getaway spot that was decorated like a summer camp.
4.2
Interesting set up with dining hall and BBQ.

Everything was great, no surprises and good communication before we arrived. I would go back.
