It's really nice view from my hotel room especially in fall foliage season.
I enjoyed outdoor onsen besides the river.
But the food is so so and a bit over crowded during peak hours.

Not value for Stay!It was an ageing hotel that need refurbishment. Buffet dinner and breakfast were so so only. All rooms are smoking. Before arrival, sending message to the hotel and the management assured to deodorise the room before check-in but ended up they only did it upon my request from front desk. Room without wi-fi, only available at the lobby area... No foam bath/shower gel, only provide a small soap. Youll have to pay for Onsen/Spa Tax @ JPY150/person even my elderly mom are not using the onsen....

This is my first onsen hotel experience and it is much better than my expectation right from the moment I arrived. The hotel is situated in a lush area next to a beautiful creek. It is well decorated, clean and has an upscale feel. The room is quite big in my opinion compared to other Japan hotels I have stayed. I enjoyed the included buffet dinner and breakfast, although not serving expensive items like crab, quality meat, etc,, the dishes are nonetheless tasty with a plenty of choices..The onsen is also quite big with separate areas for indoor onsen, outdoor onsen and also a jacuzzi. I particularly like the outdoor onsen as it has clear view over the creek and the trees right outside. Soaking in hot onsen water and enjoying the serenity of surrounding nature at the same time has been one of my greatest experience thus far. The area around the hotel is also very peaceful with many excellent spots for taking pictures. After checking out, we actually strolled around the area for an hour before leaving. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and will definitely be back if there was a chance.

We were first given a traditional room on the 3rd floor without shower facilities which was a shocker. Fortunately, the hotel then allowed us to switch to a western style room with shower facilities. They facilitated the change rather efficiently. The room was spacious, basic but it was run down and had a stale smell. Buffet spread wasn’t great, definitely not the usual standards of the other Onsen hotels we’ve been to. Overall, the hotel did not have the same standards of the usual Japanese hospitality.

1 night stay with family of 5. Room spacious to accomodate all. Buffet dinner has limited choice n access to onsen is quite a long walk from room.

The hotel room is traditional Japanese style but outdated, inside is clear but since all rooms are smoking rooms there are a leftover scent of smoking. There are NO bathroom shower and bathtub inside the room (only toliet). We are charged 150Yen/person for access to the grand hot spring bath. Overall it is not very expensive for a stay with two meals. But if you have more to spend, a higher level hotel can be considered.

Hotel located around the famous Jozankei Onsen area. Onsen in the hotel was good with good view. Environment was quiet and peaceful. Hotel has 6 massage chairs provided free for guest after the onsen session. Hotel provide a "Onsen pass" for its guest to use other hotel's onsen in the area, good to explore.

It was an amazing stay. The hotel had an in house onsen which was wonderful. They even provide breakfast and dinner. The location was easily accessible, weather was great. As our room was on the 9th floor the view was simply amazing. Wish we could had stayed longer. Will definitely come back again!

Booked a room for 3 persons including buffet dinner and breakfast. Quite impressed by the huge space at front entrance and check-in counters. Front office staffs were friendly. Room was tip-top and decent size for 2 persons. Buffet dinner and breakfast were ok. The ambient at surrounding areas including gift shops and cafes were awesome. Hot spring was huge with good view. Good holiday resort to chill-up and relax.

The service was good as the staff helped us parked the car as they had two other carparks which were located further away. They also had a shuttle bus to ferry us to the carparks even though they were within walking distance. The room was good, a little warm and the bathroom was a bit dated but its fine since we went to the onsen anyway. The onsen was big and good, theres one for massaging the shoulders as well. Though for some strange reason the bathing area was one level below the dressing area so we had to walk down the stairs naked in full view of everyone. The older folks had trouble with the steps.Dinner and breakfast were buffet style and had lots of options, the seafood soup was particularly good.
