Fabulous birthday weekend at the grand canyon! Our room was warm and cozy and became our respite from hiking. Within waking distance of food and the canyon rim. We can't wait to go back.

Nice room and confortable but the toilet seat needs replacing, it's not smooth anymore, not good for cleaness.. For the Price it's a shame

The person that checked us in was so nice and informative. We loved him!!! Beds and pillows were so comfortable and the ac/heat was great.

Excellent location near the canyon, shuttle bus and grocery stores. Accommodations were basic but everything was clean and i good repair, staff was super friendly and helpful!

Amazing!, Bed was very comfortable, employees very friendly.

Amazing stay. Only complaint and a major one is a lack of coffee before 9am.
5.0
My 2nd time stay because it's located inside of Grand Canyon national park and very close to the visitor center, so every activities are within working distance or very close with a few min drive. Room is enough space for family of 4 and clean.
4.0
The room was clean but very basic. It was an average 1960s national park hotel with the original carpet and no frills. No breakfast included.
4.0
Pros: Location. Very close to major spots, so it's good to see sunrise and sunset by taking a rest during the day
Cons: Not friendly staff, (Not too much) but it's a bit smelly bed and pillow..
Overall, I'll be back later due to the location..only.

The night sky was amazing. The room was quiet and comfortable. We were headed for Phoenix for the holiday and this was such a great way to start our day at the South Rim

the rooms are small, dated but clean. there is no wifi. the evening dining experience was terrible - wildly unclear options, slow service, poor quality. room is expensive for what you get. one is much better off paying the same or less by staying in Tusayan.

Nice walk to pub or Mather Point from 7064

The checkin process was easy, the location was convenient to the all of the attractions and there were plenty of amenities for food, drink and & groceries.
Of course, when you're staying in a National Park you don't come for the hotel you come to see the park and when you're in the Grand Canyon, if you're not enjoying the view you're missing out.
Yavapai has been around forever and must have been recently upgraded. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate.
My only criticism would be that the floors squeak. If your downstairs you can hear ever step your upstairs neighbor makes. Every step of anyone walking up and down the halls.
Otherwise it was a great stay.

Great stay, everything we needed. The food wasn't great, found better food in the resorts nearby.

Definately loved our stay. We would book again. Great location and venue.

Loved the convenience of the location and food options they offered

The room had one wall heater but it was still quite chilly in the room. Extra blankets would have been nice! But we didn't ask for them. I'm sure they would have provided them if we asked.

The room was fine was a bit hard to find in dark once found no problem stay was good food in bar not so good but shop great for breakfast.

It was fine. Property is old and in need of some TLC, if not a remodel.

We had a great stay at this lodge! Thank you Grand Canyon!

It was a great stay, no microwave inside the room but overall it was a nice experience

Yavapai has some age on it, but the rooms are clean and everything worked OK. Our unit was close to the Yavapai Village with restaurants, post office, store, etc. It was also an easy walk to the Rim Trail. Compared to the other in park options I think Yavapai is a good value. I would stay there again.

This is an amazing place to stay and enjoy the Grand Canyon, the bar and restaurants are great, good food and prices. The convenience of having the Market steps away can't be beat. The only thing and this is personal more than anything was the bad TV signal.

Great trip

Wonderful place to stay, close to south rim. Walked to general store, post office, dining. Away from busy village. Could've used shuttles to get everywhere we wanted. Loved it!

Our room is beside the ice maker and service room, noisy. Complained and they offer us to change room and offered us free breakfast. I like the surrounding staying in the park, with stars glazing is another plus point. Food maybe limited but easy access to the park save a lot of time.

Great location for visiting the Grand Canyon. Room was comfortable and clean. Parking outside.

Very nice location in the park. Close to bus stop and food market. Quiet location. Very helpful nice staff throughout.

Stayed at Yavapai for three nights. If this were a hotel somewhere else, I would have issues but what kind of idiot would complain about the WiFi or the TV at the GRAND CANYON?! Sure, it was a little…lived in, but the room was clean and the bed was a comfortable place to rest your aching body after hiking all day. The shower was hot. We were safe from the canyon’s notoriously vicious squirrels. Can’t complain.

Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable

Comfy beds. Bathroom had mould and mildew in it.

We always love Yavapai Lodge. It’s always comfortable and it has great food.
4.0
Overall, we had a wonderful stay, the village is great location to explore the canyon.
The restaurants are overcrowded and queues to order food, then you have to hunt for a table. More like canteens than restaurants.
Our check-in was bumpy as our room keys didn't work so we had to drive back and forth between the reception and lodge which was frustrating.
2.0
tv did not work. Poor internet
Answers to questions differ from employee to employee.
Starbucks personel very unfriendly.

We stay here every time we come to the Grand Canyon and it has never disappointed. I love the convenience of the location and the amenities, and plan on staying here for early future visits

Whilst we enjoyed our stay at Yavapai Lodge we were let down by a service issue. The Television didn't work. We reported it twice and we're told "we'll send someone up"...to no avail. While a TV isn't a deal breaker we would have appreciated being told initially that we'd be without for two nights.
The fitted sheet on our king bed did not stay in place and we had to keep refitting it. Would stay again but check some specifics first. The lodge is in a great location and the tavern staff are delightful.

We visited for seven nights. Location of lodge was close to rim trails. Plenty of space in each room. Food was good but dining hall could use more options. Other places were available nearby for different menu. TV worked for only one night. After five attempts (over 4 nights) to get issue fixed, spoke with manager. Woman at front desk (name won't mention or what she said) was NOT helpful. After being out all day you just want to go back to room and relax for a short while. Manager sent Ian (maintenance personnel) to check on our tv. After seeing it could not be fixed he came back 20 minutes later with new room assignment. Thanks very much to Ian and his manager! Easy drive to the village nearby.
