Great stay, staff very nice and helpful

We were in Cincinnati for the weekend for the University of Cincinnati homecoming. Upon arriving to the hotel and checking into our room the first thing we noticed is that the sofa bed was missing second we noticed that the telephone was missing so using my cell phone I dialed the front desk. The front desk assured me there was nothing they could do and they would make sure that a manager was made aware of the situation this was on Friday night. Saturday afternoon I checked at the front desk again, I was informed that a manager had not been in so none of the issues have been resolved. At that time also our room was not checked and the beds were not made on that Saturday afternoon and the water was cold to shower and we had to run the water approximately 10 minutes before it even got warm. Sunday upon check out once again I asked about the manager and again I was told there was no manager available. I was given a managers name and number and still unable to reach her after returning home. We are very upset and disappointed with the stay and the nonresponse from the Hampton Inn management. I will give kids to the front desk staff who was very understanding and apologetic although their hands were tied in this situation. As a Hilton Honors member. we feel we are due some type of compensation. It was very unpleasant and disheartening. I hope to get some resolution soon.

Great room (901) overlooking the city, spacious.
Our problem was there was NO HOT WATER on the day of checkout which means no ability for a shower. Got an apology and that's it.

The stay was good the property was in a great location and the property looked great with a feel. Thats the upside the down side is my room was not clean at all. I get to the property late and just went to bed. I woke up and looked at my pillow cases air find red hair dye all over them. Then I look in the bathroom and it was a used razor and what looked to be shampoo in the shower. I called the front desk at 8:30am to report it and was told my room would be cleaned immediately but at 10:30pm my room still had not been touched. I’m really disappointed by my experience with the room.

Rough check in. We arrived at 5pm. People waiting to get into their rooms and check in was 4. MAnager didn't seem to be around. Computer system didn't show rooms available unless they upgraded, but manager didn't tell front desk staff. We waited 35 minutes and the line wrapped clear around and back to the elevators. Ridiculous!!! We were almost late for our dinner reservations. We used to love this hotel. Still clean and comfortable. But management needs to step it up.

Upon arrival at the designated check-in time, we were greeted with a lobby full of people waiting for their rooms and a line to check-in. When we finally got to the desk we were told our room was not ready because it was not cleaned. We waited 1.5 hours for our room to get cleaned. We were there for the Luke Combs concert and there was also a Reds game that night. Two major events in the city and the reasoning for the wait was they were understaffed. Do better Hampton Inn & Suites, be better prepared.

Easy to walk to restaurants and bars.

Nice

checking in was horrible...apparently they over booked for the weekend

The staff was great, but for $500+ a night, i would've expected the A/C in the room to work. The room temperature was 77-80° during our entire stay.

This is a lovely and comfortable hotel in a very convenient location. Our check-in was delayed over 2 hours as housekeeping was running way behind. The main problem was the process and procedure of being notified when our room was ready. I understand that things happen, but we were required to get back in line a few times to check and see if our room is ready rather than having someone notify us while we just sat in the lobby waiting. The front desk staff was very polite and apologetic. We definitely had grounds to complain, but what’s the point. The other issue was we were in town for a concert and this took away time available for pregaming and getting ready, which in turn prevented us from being able to go eat before the show. Again, I understand that things happen, but no effort was made to offer any kind of discount or compensation for the inconvenience. Other than that, it’s a nice little hotel as we always prefer to stay at Hamptons for the comfort and the nice breakfast the next morning.

Very nice stay. We walked to everything all weekend. Ball park. Stadium, very nice dining, fountain square. Breakfast was good. Historic building was interesting. Very nice stay.

Booked in May. Arrived in August. Told at check-in that they overbooked and moved us to another hotel. So I can't give you fair ratings on accommodations. No phone call; no e-Mail. Why? They said my information wasn't available to them because I booked through a third party. Don't know if that is true or not. If it is then that needs to be fixed! By the time we arrived at our new hotel; parked; and checked in, and did all the things we missed the start of our concert. Buyer be aware of third party bookings and the possibility of not staying at the place you booked !

Only thing was that for pet owners not a lot of options.

I was amazed at how dirty downtown Cincinnati is...The downstair lobby has no inviting appeal like other hotel lobbies do the outside door and grounds are terrible the brass doorway is filthy you do not make this place curbside appealing. If I had known this hotel looked like this I would never have made reservations there. Downtown Cincinnati looks nothjng like downtown Columbus...

The hotel was beautiful. Our sleeper sofa had no frame just an uncomfortable mattress.
3.9
Close to some active areas. Downtown Cincinnati is pretty quiet.
3.9
Very clean, and visually pleasing hotel. Parking nearby for a fee, valet also available.
3.9
Loved the location and convenience of being close to everything. Didn't care for having to use the key card for the elevator.

Nice large room for family of 5. Very clean. Walking distance to Fountain Square, River, Reds Stadium. However, not enough towels provided on arrival; we had to ask for more. When housekeeping came on day 3 (they provide every other day housekeeping), they still only provided 3 towels for the 5 of us. They also did not refill tissues, toilet paper or hand soap so we ran out of all of those before our stay ended and had to go to the front desk to ask for refills of all.
3.9
Oldish style hotel but was ok for an overnight and see a Reds game
3.9
Beautiful building. But regretfully my experience this time was challenging.
3.9
Friendly. clean, comp breakfast, and very quiet
3.9
Toilet in room was broken, empty hand soap dispenser, pillows were poor. Sleeper sofa was so uncomfortable kids had to use an air mattress.
Appears to be a very old building that tried to be renovated. People were very friendly and gentlemen that had to come to our room when we got in around midnight to fix the continuously, unflushable toilet was extreme nice.
3.9
Easy walking distance to the Reds stadium.
3.9
Tripped on the threshold cover strip snd bunged up my knee.had ask them to get it fixed to make it save

Wonderful staff but hotel procedures need work. We went up for a Reds game and was it to early to check in. We went back a little after 3pm and there was a big line to check in. After about 30-40 minutes of standing in line we were told rooms were not yet ready. Frustrated, it was close to 4pm so we left our bags and went to the ball game. When we returned we easily got to our room and went to get ice and the machine was either empty or not working. The next day breakfast was ready and we easily checked out.
3.9
No refrigerator in the room
3.9
Large room, clean, and comfortable. Self-parking was reasonable, valet service available. Walking distance to good food or coffee.
3.9
The room was nice. Huge bathroom. A/C worked great. TV could have been bigger but I’m spoiled at home with large screens. All the staff we came in contact with were very polite and professional
3.9
Easy check in. Close self parking. Lots of restaurants in walking distance as well as GABP.

I stayed at this property with my family to attend a baseball game at Great American Ballpark. Our room was clean and spacious, self-parking was convenient and affordable, and the amenities such as breakfast and a game room were a bonus!
3.9
Terrible.. system down for hours.. untold number Of people standing in line at front desk…Had to find other room arrangements because of time restraint.. shame on Hilton/Hampton!!!!
3.9
Great location just outside the noisy part of town.
3.9
Outstanding staff! Great location! I would stay there again! The only thing I would recommend to improve on is the bed mattress need to be replaced.
3.9
Checked in at 4:30 and rooms were not ready. Said it would a couple of hours.
