Overall, loved the resort & the fact that it was adults only & smaller & quieter. Pool was fantastic & stays open till 8pm which was appreciated & there were plenty of lounge chairs. The beach is small but nice and clean & a close walk from the hotel. No pressure to partake in the activities but they were limited, repetitious & largely in the early part of the day. Great bars where the bartenders are not shy with the alcohol. The Italian restaurant was just so-so but the seafood restaurant was excellent. Buffet food, while plentiful, was largely mediocre except for the pizza and pastries, which were delicious. Could definitely use more vegetables and food could be more seasoned. Also would be nice to have more authentic Dominican cuisine. The buffet staff was very good with a special shout out to the servers, especially Yordelisa who was so sweet. The hotel room was good overall & the bed comfortable. But there was only one chair in the room & no table, more seating is needed. The bathroom was spacious but there was only hot water in the shower in the morning & it could have used more towels. The fridge was barely cold with no freezer section & there are no ice machines around the hotel. Espresso machine with little capsules was helpful. Patio was nice as was the plunge pool but the jets get turned off by 10pm and there were these centipede-like worms in it sometimes. Would stay there again, but hope they take to heart these suggestions for improvements.

Beautiful bungalow room, better food than I expected from other reviews. Beautiful grounds and beach. Easy check in, check out. Low key adult resort, walkable compared to the huge Punta Cana resorts. Las Terrenas is beautiful and deserves a visit if you love the DR like us. No complaints. Will definetely visit again, but there are so many more places in the DR we have to visit. And the beach walks during twilight are magical.

Second time here and without hesitation what I like the most of this property is the entertainment team. They truly make you feel like family. I'll go back time and time again because of them. Service it's the second best. Everyone you talk to have a smile on their face 24/7 even when they look tired. Two things I didn't like this time was our room was on the second floor and my mom is an elderly woman so that was an inconvenient but I didn't asked to be moved and the other thing was with the housekeeping. When we got to the room we only had 2 big towels so I went to the front desk to ask for more and same thing with bottled water. Almost everyday I was calling or going to reception to request water. Besides that I reassure I love this place and I'll be back soon. My personal thanks to Luis Enrique (bartender) Leo, Ariel, Chocolate, Connie, Federica, Wagner and Jeremy, you guys are simply the best!

So I would like to start off with letting you know the staff was great and the location was beautiful. I did love walking on the beach and the large pool. The one thing I did not like was the food. My guest and I did not enjoy the food at if to be honest it was pretty bad. It was a shame because it really did take away from my vacation as food is a major part of the resort experience. Also, this would be more of a suggestion. I believe that there should be a bar by the pool or in the pool which would improvw the experience of the guest as they would have more convenient access to alcohol as opposed to requesting a staff member to get it or getting out the pool and getting it yourself which would become an inconvenience.

This vacation was everything I was hoping for... a relax-forget about everything weekend. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The staff were all great, excellent and made you feel welcomed. The food, OMG the food... soooo delicious... The only 2 things that would make my next visit better is a way to warm my food (I like.my food HOT) and to have coconut water (Samaná is known for all the coconut palm trees, so it was a shame that there was none at the hotel). I'm already planing my trip for next year.

Excellent service by staff. Grounds and beach are beautiful, probably the best part. Rooms are nice and clean, nothing spectacular, but nice and updated. The only negative I would say is the buffet. The food is OK, but could be better. The three Dine-in restaurants were good, not the best. Would I stay here again? Yes, the beach is worth it.

In the main restaurant, the white roof supports (pillars) were dirty with food leftovers from the first day of our stay. Pointing this out to the staff didn't help. On the day we left, the pillars were still dirty.

It stated there was 24 hour room service, in fact it wa a hoax, there is no room service. They advertise it and leave a menu with a number in the room and then they don’t answer the phone. There were several that traveled with us and all had same experience!! Disappointing, as well as the food served was terrible!

Spent a romantic weekend there. Great selection of food at the main buffet restaurant. The "specialty" restaurants were not very good and worth making reservations. The Italian restaurant was the worse. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They also provided lots of fun activities. Didn't understand the story with cats all over the resort.

The resort is small and beautiful. The workers are super friendly and helpful. The pool area is very nice eventhough one of the jacuzzi's was not working. The beach is probably one of the cleanest and more beautiful beaches I have ever visited. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. It was tasteless and not much of a variety. I expected more for the price. I paid extra for a bungalow so that I can have a bigger private pool for my husband and I. Unfortunately we were unable to use the pool because it was dirty and had little crabs in it. Perhaps the worse part of my stay were the worms in my room. I am assuming they came from the outside which was not well kept and smelled really bad. There were sometimes 6 to 7 worms at a time crawling in the room. It was absolutely disgusting.

The resort is small and beautiful. The pool area was really nice eventhough one of the jacuzzis was not working. The beach was probably one of the best beaches I have been to. The customer service was great. All the workers there were super helpful and friendly. Unfortunately my room was full of worms. I am assuming they were coming from the outside area which was not well kept and had a bad smell. There were 6 to 7 worms constantly crawling in the room at a time. It was pretty disgusting. I also paid extra for a bungalow because I wanted to enjoy a bigger pool with my husband. The pool was very small and very dirty. We were unable to use it. The food was mediocre. I expected better for the price.

The facilities and staff were top notch. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was okay (not bad but not overwhelmingly good). The atmospheres in the restaurants though were lovely in addition to attentive and kind wait staff.
