I was unable to do the work i needed to be able to do from the resort, less than perfect internet connection not related to natural island issues. i would not recomend this place to anyone. Staff was really nice and responsive, but just a very poorly maintained facility. I want my money back

Very quaint property right on the water. WiFi available but no TV which was nice. Staff very helpful and breakfast in the morning was fantastic!

The hotel has a really nice cafe/restaurant that overlooks the sea. It has a long pier going into the bay with a great lounging area, the sunrises directly behind this. Stag were very friendly and helpful. Saw a muntjac deer wandering around the property too! Good hotel.

The rooms are exactly what you need for a trip to Roatan - comfortable beds, air conditioning, clean bathroom, good shower water pressure, and fresh water available. The indoor decor is simple but the property is beautiful, nestled at the end of a quiet road on the West End. Daily breakfast and coffee are included and are very good - Cafe de Palo is excellent all around. Highly recommend this hotel. Your balcony hammock awaits!

Best breakfast views and great breakfast!

-The breakfast options are very poor and limited, we were looking for experiencing local varieties but it was not possible.
-The front entrance ground was unsafe, full of rocks, and uneven. My husband, 70 y/o fell and hurt his ankle because is so terrible outside full of obstacles and dark. I strongly suggest to the owners to pay more attention to that aspect too.

The ppty is in a great location, quiet less busy area of West End. The third level of rooms have a great view and pleasant breeze. The cafe Palo is a nice place to start your day with a fine breakfast. The staff were all very pleasant and did a very good job. The room we stayed in was very tired, windows in poor condition, could not open, noisy fan and malfunction stove top, which they did replace after two weeks. We paid for a deluxe studio and were put in a standard studio. I questioned this with management to no avail. We are going back to Roatán next year, but have booked another location, as management could not guarantee our chive of room for Feb. 2025.

Beautiful views, delicious breakfast, great and accommodating staff, and very clean. We had a great time, and would be happy to stay here again during our next trip.

We have stayed twice in this hotel. The hotel is right by the ocean and the delightful stone path trails and various half - hidden seating areas within the well-designed gardens are charming. A perfect place for romance and relaxation.

Room and view were great overlooking the water. Shower had a significant drip but fine with me. Restaurant and staff were fantastic.

As soon as we needed a plumbing issue fixed it was done soon. Sasha gave us instructions on how to use WhatsApp, in order to make calls. A very helpful lady to senior citizens who get confused about cell phone usage in foreign country. Christy answered our questions with patience. Ashley, our breakfast server was efficient serving breakfast with style and grace. The teamwork we saw with this staff was excellent.

Very nice staff and rooms very clean. We came during rainy season so the wifi was down during our stay. The location is great for walking to near by restaurants and bars.

We enjoyed our 2-night stay very much. The room was clean, and the view of the bay was great. We enjoyed the breakfast, and Sasha at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful to us. We had a minor maintenance issue that was handled promptly and efficiently. We were a five minute walk to the West End & we had a great time.

I had a lovely time at the hotel, it is very quiet and out of the way and also clean! My one and only issue was the young girl at the front desk was not always pleasant when asking questions. One example, asking to call me a taxi to west bay before knowing there is a $5 water taxi, which she never advised me of, she instead told me it would cost me $25 just to get to west bay beach. Instead I chose to call the taxi that picked me up from the airport and he only charged $15! She wasn’t helpful much in assisting me of getting around the area! Very unfortunate, because if she was a great tip would of been waiting upon my departure! I do my due diligence in researching the area before my arrival with any country I travel to but instead of the hotel that your spending so much money with helping you, they’d rather scam you! Other than that the restaurant staff was very very helpful and pleasant as well as the cleaners! Location was great- most things are walking distance and again please take advantage of the water taxi service! Wish I’d known about that before spending so much money on taxis! Better customer service is needed at the front desk!

A quiet oasis in Mangrove Bight about 10 minute walk to the busy West End. Had everything the transit traveler needed. We were allowed to check in early and the staff quickly got maintenance to repair the AC which they checked during intro and noticed it wasn’t working.
Not the fault of Las Orquideas but we asked for taxi to take us to our next hotel in Sandy Bay— a $10 ride by private transfer. The staff mentioned it should be $15 and got a cab, but the driver charged $25 after he dropped us off. I didn’t notice because my husband had been handling payment. But that’s been a common theme on the island for services not clearly marked— if my white husband does all the talking in English, prices double or triple.

House keeping was excellent...ask for anything and it's there. Restaurant and back garden were excellent...very peaceful and nicely done. Give perfect island feel.
Needs: rooms need luggage racks, breakfast needs more options otherwise eating same thing each day. It was good, but it was the same 2 things each day.
One minor incident where staff named Ashley or Shasha, the female that works at the front desk and was helping with breakfast. She accused me of ordering the wrong item when I had ordered the same item for the last 3 days. The first time was ok...but she came back the second time with the same wrong order...indicating that I had to take it bc it was my fault...that was puzzling to me...I returned the order and skip breakfast that day.
Again, this shouldn't sway you as the place is a good overall place...will stay there again the next time.

Excellent breakfast with special homemade bread (fantastic!), all included in the price. The balcony view was terrific, but too much overgrowth limited the view. The area around the hotel, especially next to the hotel, has many stray dogs, and one bit me at night - the first time ever in my life. Not fun: watch out!

This hotel had large rooms and sweet individual porches with tables, chairs and a hammock. We loved staying here. There was a mini-fridge in the room but no coffee pot or microwave All rooms are near the restaurant and coffee was easy to get. The restaurant ambiance, food and service were great! Everyone was SOoo nice and plenty of staff are completely fluent in both English and Spanish. We loved the free breakfast and the long dock with a very relaxing sitting area- perfect for sunset. NO mosquitoes anywhere, but the no-see-ums are hungry as soon as it turns dark. You WILL want to buy the air conditioning due to the heat and humidity- even in December. A security guard was present all the time near the hotel entrance. Located just a few blocks from the West end, we walked downtown to great shopping every day. Don't miss the recycled metal store and the chocolate shop - great smoothies. Plenty of little tiendas for anything you need or forgot. Prices are cheap! A few blocks into town is the water taxi - $5 to head out to the West Bay beach. Walk to the end to the Grand Roatan hotel where the snorkeling is amazing and we had a great lunch. Bring a beach towel as chairs all along the West Bay are reserved for hotel guests. Also NOTE: US dollars are accepted everywhere but NOT if they are torn, or stained, or defaced in ANY way at all. I was out of cash when my "weary" Franklins were useless.

Beautiful jungle paradise. Everything is clean and comfortable. This is my favorite place to stay in by far.

This is a special place. The service is great. Sacha addresses your every need and the onsite cafe provides incredible fresh food options every day- with great cocktails and wine. The view out to the water is so peaceful and the hotel's designer maintained so many trees, that you want to hang out on your balcony all day long. From 5am when the sun starts coming over the hills to the evenings when the breeze comes in. If you are in to lots of amenities, this isn't your place-- no TV or luggage racks in the room, but if you want to be immersed in Roatan's natural beauty, then you'll love Hotel Posada Las Orquideas.

Cleaning staff were very friendly - always a Good Morning.Staff in Cafe - were ok - after staying there 2 weeks you would think they would start to know us but always had to repeat every order and still made mistake.Staff at office - for example Shyvone; not helpful at all.We had issues with our AC which we paid to have - and she asked us to walked to other main office and ask if we could be move to another room. Why she couldn’t call herself - I do not know.We needed to ask for towel and she gave me attitude that the towels were there and had to argue that they were not.The ad is all about their beautiful dock looking over the water…. Well there’s no dock / it’s under construction- so we had no access to water.

Value priced, convenient, quiet with and authentic island feel and friendly staff. I liked being just off the main West End strip (5 min direct walk) for quietness. Nice included breakfast.

In general my stay was very pleasant. I was treated very well by the staff. The location is a little hidden off the normal path which was good. If you need to do work while on vacation then you might need to consider reaching out to the site. If you just want to chill and hide from the world highly recommended.
