We drove past it initially because there was no sign that we could see in the dark, when we arrived.
The room is shown with a chair, however, there wasnt one. The toilet had to be flushed several times just to get paper to go down and the bathroom had no fan. Also, the wall in the bathroom had an unfinished outlet, which we were afraid to use because we weren't sure if it was okay to use, without getting electrocuted. Only one mirror in the room, so only one person could get ready at a time. The breakfast selection was minimal and there was no real cream for coffee. Just Coffee-Mate warm non-dairy "creamers". There was a guy sitting at a table in the lobby, that we assumed worked there. He didnt say and had all he could do to just say hello to the three of us, let alone ask if we "enjoyed our stay or was everything alright". For the amount they charge for a night, im sure there are better accommodations in the same area.

Streamlined motel. Very clean and efficient. Exactly what we needed. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms great!!

Great hotel !

The property is an old motel that has some lipstick on it. The walls of the bathroom were smeared with dirt. We constantly dealt with bugs from outside. The windows didn't have screens so you couldn't open them. Part way through our stay we received a message requesting our satisfaction, I replied with a 3 and received a msg that someone would contact us promptly to address my score. No one ever did. Since it was only a W/E stay we stuck it out but would not return.

Very nice staff and a very quiet place to stay

Modern upgrades, very responsive staff. Close to town and quiet!

Completely updated motel - very nice. Lacking a few practical options, such as hooks or shelves in the bathroom, but lots of outlets and a huge television. Beautiful location!

This was the worst motel I have ever stayed in. It was clean. But that ends it.
The tv remote was so simple that I could not make its buttons function. Less is not more. The tv was unusable. I could not make it function Not volume, not station selection, nothing. We turned it off after half and hour of tryi
And that does not include its not getting anything but streaming stations, most of which you have to be already subscribed to. If you happen by luck to get on a news station, it is always ALWAYS Fox. Not all of us are fans of Fox news, but the management seems determined to push their (Fox's) slant on things.
The bathroom light only works if you flip a wall switch and then press as lit up button on the mirror.
The Keurig coffee machine was unplugged. And the plug didn't reach a wall outlet. So you have operate it on the floor. And there is no sugar or Cremora, so you have to drink yourcoffee black.
No one is there to check you in. I guess they are saving on employee costs. You get your room assignment by email. There is no room key, just a number lock on the door but unless you get it by email, you are out of luck. I had no idea what to do until a fellow 'resident' explained to me about the email.
This is a 22nd century dystopia. No employees, just hand over your money. I can't tell future 'guests' how unpleasant the experience is. Awful, awful awful.
Stay somewhere else. If you can't find a place, don't travel to Manchester.
Awful, terrible.

Whomever did the construction on the property didn't do a great job, fixtures not affixed to the wall, outlet in bathroom didn't work. Staff was very helpful and room was clean and nice. The aforementioned did not affect my stay but the need to work on the rooms some.

Very beautiful and peaceful property. The facilites were beyond clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lovely hotel. Our new favorite hideaway when we go to Vermont. I would definitely recommend to my colleagues and friends.

Property setting/surroundings and grounds were great, well kept, clean, and quiet. Checkin greeting was good, self-serve breakfast was fine, TV and general layout of room was fine. However, we had a number of issues with the room readiness and amenities.
Fridge should have an ice section for travelers with ice packs. Bathroom switches didn't work for fan or overhead light. Since there was no bath fan, we opened the window, but there was no screen to keep bugs out. Toilet paper holder came off the wall. Air conditioner rattled all night. No hair dryer in the bath. A bulb was missing in light over one of the beds. A microwave would be nice. Couldn't get the coffeemaker in the room to work - no instructions either. There was an iron holder, but no iron or ironing board was there. There was only 1 towel rack for two folded towels - no way to let two towels dry on the rack. There was plenty of dust under both beds.

The view of the mountains from our room and grounds was beautiful

Has very nicely renovated rooms. This is my second stay. The room was nice and cold upon entry; this is a small thing but makes the experience nicer as recently I've stayed at other locations nearby with the oppositw experience. After a long drive you dobt want to walk into a humid hot room and have to wait 20 min for the room to cool down. The interior here is simple and clean and feels very new. Pillows abd the mattress is very comfortable. My only complaint is that the small soap bottles which are really cute, are very hard to squeez out. The conditioner is very thick and the container has no flexibilty that you can't dqueez the product out. I literally used my teeth to bite the conditioner container to get the product out. The shampoo and body wash was liquidy enough that those oozed. The product itself were really good. Such a dumb complaint, i know! Lol

Close to town . Seems to be going through a renovation , upgrading rooms and property. Little quirks but overall good experience. Good food options at breakfast. Pool was nice. Clean grounds. Massive SMART TVs i room!!! Free Hulu to watch. Great tile and bathroom decor.

light switch beside door crooked; no reading lights; drapes fall off at a touch; toilet paper holder ; off wall at touch; no hair dryer; no rugs; therefore track in dirt; tv too complicated to work; therefore stuck with one news channel; price asked for considering retrieving supplies from office ridiculous; mud-gravel to right when wet- no big deal to cement over

What a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Location can't be beat, warm welcome from Shane, good breakfast, take any extra anything for your room with you from the check-in lobby room(Keurig pods, towels, silverware, etc), a fun pool, great place to sit outside the room and have coffee in the morning, good sized mini fridge and microwave in the room, comfortable beds with lots of pillows, easy tv hookup to my Amazon and Netflix, great shower and water pressure, easy access to an ice machine and washer/dryer, and it's motel style so we could park right outside our room. We will definitely be back!!

The room was nice. No staff at office. Guess everything is being done w texts. Only dilemma with that was code did not open our door. Luckily, someone else working there was able to give me code to open door. Nice place.

Overall, the Aspen is a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and updated. The check in process was simple and no contact. There could have been a few more amenities in the room, but the essentials were all there and the staff was very nice.

Wonderful small motel in Manchester. Very clean, continental breakfast included. The pool is very clean and nice (not heated). For the price it’s a great value.

The staff here is so nice! The property is undergoing a Reno but they warned us about that in advance. They were very accommodating with an early check in. Room was very neat and clean. Unfortunately there was no hot water in our morning shower even though the sink was hot. The bed was very soft so felt older. Coffee in the room and a small cereal and bagel setup for breakfast. A nice clean place which was most important.

It was ok.
The room was clean and the beds comfortable.
The tub did not drain well so when showering you ended up standing in water. The issue was reported but nothing was done to fix the drain.
The shower head didn’t provide much spray.
The breakfast grab and go just had the basics
It would have been nice to have a small pad of paper and pencil in the room
They are renovating the rooms so hopefully the issues will be addressed.

Very clean, comfortable, cozy hotel and convenient to shopping, dining, Stratton & Bromley. Altho we did not see any management, I received text messages asking how our stay was. Only issue ~ walls are very thin ~ our neighbors were not very quiet ~ and we could hear their entire conversations. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend it.

Little cute place, found like a gem. Vintage look’s furnitures but very well maintained and clean. Feels like staying in a cozy room at a grandma’s house.

Property was conveniently located. Nice parking spaces. Pretty view of mountains.
Property was quiet and room was comfortable and clean.
Mostly staff wasn’t available and for most things it was self serve.
I tried to get ice once, 1 machine was out of service and the other “whirled” but didn’t dispense any ice.
Overall we were pleased with our stay.

Had a great weekend ski trip with the family. The Aspen is located on a beautiful property and is so close to the town of Manchester and about 30 min from skiing at Stratton Mountain. We got a really great rate for our stay and couldn’t be happier. The rooms are a bit out of date but this place has so much charm! It fit our needs just right.

We picked up our envelope at the front dest just to find out that we had no power in our room. For two hours we were trying to reach someone to solve the issue, as there were no staff personnel anywhere, then a girl reached to us and together we were looking for an electrical panel across the complex. Fixed the problem, but expect ecerything in working order when i check in the room.
Breakfast is mediocre, actually, kne of the worst we had in many places we stayed. Once again, no staff anywhere, self serve breakfast and when something runs out, its done, noone is filling un the baskets or coffee mugs.
Lobby with fireplace was closed around 7p.m and we found few local guys, who dont work or stay at the hotel, just watching the game and drinking bourbon, locking the lobby for personal entertainment.
Overall, poor management and lacking organization for the price they are charging per room i was expecting much more.

This had to have been on of the worst stays I’ve ever had. I come in after a long day of riding to the shower being clogged, hairdryer not working (they never fixed this), refrigerator not working (they never fixed this either), only one coffee cup (I put down two people for the room), no tissues, missing smoke detector, and the room was very dirty with mold in the bathroom and stains on all the curtains. I stayed two nights for $281, this was very expensive for what I got, and they only gave me $50 back. This was one of those creepy old motels you see in the movies where it looks like you’re going to die. I traveled solo and the curtains did not even close all the way and I felt like people can look in very easily. Also the breakfast food was always out by the time I got there (830am, which is still early). Overall- will not stay here again.
