I travel with a Service Animal and proof of her certification. I was told after arriving at the hotel, despite the fact I had sent an email telling them I was coming with my Service Animal, that I could not stay. I believe this was illegal. They stated “we don’t take pets” several times. I corrected them in the statement that my Service Animal was a pet.

It very near to Sequoia national park entrance. You wake up to see beautiful morning in mountains. It was clean and great.

Nice, cheap place right next to entrance to Sequoia NP. Nice place to rest after a long day of hiking!

Upon arrival, there was no running water. We were not able to shower or use the restroom for hours. The hotel did not even reach out to any of us due to the huge inconvenience. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere else.

The room was absolutely disgusting and smelled of mold.

Hotel could use some TLC but it met the basic needs. Restaurant & shop next door was a nice bonus. Breakfast burritos were yummy!

Property was close to the National Park entrance. That was only positive for this stay. Nothing was like in the pictures. Room was extremely dirty and bathroom was like from horror movies - we refrained from using it. Everything is down to the last. Don’t stay there. It’s not worth the money you spend for it.

All good

Not only was no one at the Inn when we arrived at 310 pm, the Inn looks as though no one has taken care of it in sometime. Both outside and in the rooms were poorly maintained. I had booked the hotel for three nights and left after one. I would not recommend this place for anyone!

Not maintained for even the bare minimum. The young girl checking me in couldn't explain an extra misc charge on my receipt. Lucky reading reviews I was privy to this random extra charge that I couldn't get out of. Overall we stayed only one night and lost the money on the second night, the carpet is disgusting I didn't want to walk barefoot in the room. Beer cans and garbage left outside of the rooms. Just awful, felt so grimy and dirty in the room, especially for the price, as the drive from the hotel back into the park is so long, steep and windy and feels forever it's just not worth it for this exorbitant priced run down motel. Zero on upkeep and cleanliness.

Charged hidden fees ( additional taxes and credit card fees) that were not mentioned and approved when booked
Neglected, dirty, not enough room for 2 people around table , only one key for three people. We stayed 2 nights they did not clean after first night.

It was the dirtiest place I ever stayed in. Broken chairs walls filthy. I thought I was going to get bit by bugs. No automatic lights going to unit. Shower leaked all night long. Horrible!!

DO NOT BOOK here
The amount you booked thru expedia app is not accepted and they will charge you a different amount on site. I do not understand how is this advertised on the app. Be careful! Do research thoroughly before booking. There is nothing that expedia can do.
As for the room/ property, it should be rated as a motel, not an inn.
Their check-in time is 3:00 PM. That is literally 3:00 PM. If you come in 30 minutes prior so you can check with the customer service, there is no one in the office. You’ll have to wait in the hot car until someone will come to the office by 3:00 PM. So plan your travel accordingly.
The sheet was dirty, bedsheets showed hair underneath the pillow and there were crumbs around. Dust was all over the vanity area.

Room was only marginally clean on arrival and it the 3 days we stayed it was not cleaned even once. Carpet is worn and unpleasant. In general, there is lack of investment in the property, which is a shame because the location is good.
The only positive points were the internet speed and hot water in the shower. And of course the proximity to the natural park.
8.0 / 10.0
The River Inn in Three Rivers offers a convenient location just outside Sequoia National Park, making it an ideal base for nature lovers. The proximity to a nearby store is a significant plus for grabbing food and essentials without having to travel far. The property is notably quiet, despite its closeness to the highway, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. Additionally, the air conditioning effectively kept the room at a comfortable temperature, and the fast WiFi was a pleasant surprise.
However, the motel undoubtedly shows its age and is in dire need of renovation. Cleanliness was marginal, especially in the bathroom, which detracted from the overall experience. Furthermore, the electrical outlets were worn and struggled to hold plugs securely. The ambience is clearly that of an old motel that feels as though it's merely hanging on, lacking the charm that could come with updates or renovations.
Overall, while The River Inn's location and some amenities are commendable, the cleanliness and maintenance issues are significant downsides that travelers should consider.

It was okay, the water never got very hot in the shower.

It was a good place besides it being a little run down looking and a little dirty looking. It is old and could use a little deep cleaning but for the $$ we spent just to sleep for a night and be on our was it was worth it.

No cold water. Outlets so loose that chargers didn't work. Had to ask for bath towels and ice bucket. Overall a dump.

I liked that it was simple, clean and rustic. The man at the office was very friendly and accommodating. I didn't Ike that the places to eat were so far away, however the pizza we had was very good. I noticed though that the prices were too high. Overall, our stay was satisfactory .

It is a basic hotel. You have a room, beds and a bathroom. There is a coffee machine, but no cups.
Management had to give us a different TV controller.
The food at Totem, next door is good.

The toilet Need to be renewed and new linens.

My Experience was lack luster, the cleaning needs more tending to, there was dust,
& cobwebs. Our bathroom had tissue in the bin from the previous tenants & it was not cleaned before we got the key. The air conditioning is old & it makes a lot of noise at night, making my family & I lose sleep. For the amount of money that i am paying for, i would expect at least a somewhat decent room & a decent experience. I will not be returning & unfortunately i do not recommend staying here, if you do then lower your expectations.

Our room was beside the stairs outside so if somebody walks up, the wall on our bedside was shaking and you can hear all the noise.
4.0 / 10.0
Only 2 small hand towels in the room, no bath towels at all. The bed was clean, but everything else full of dust. The A/C made a bad smell like burning. I loved the silent morning and night in there, but the room doesn’t worth 200 $ for a night, it is exaggerated! If the owner would take care of this small inn it would be a little corner of paradise with a Mountain View. It is 3 min drive from Sequoia!

Maintenance of the grounds are poor. Carpets are old and beds too. But not as bad as some reviews I read and comments of bed bugs. We didn’t have any. It was OK for one night.

Property was filthy. We contacted Expedia. They tried to contact hotel with no luck. We went to the office and no one was around. Sheets and towels filthy. Door would not close securely. Spider webs and bugs (alive and dead) all over room. My family was afraid to stay at this property.

I did not get the room I book according to the Website but got the back room that is old, dirty with NO AC in a bed room, no mini blind on 2 Windows in the kitchen area and the Ceiling fan is making loud noise if turning on the bed room light (not able to turn off the ceiling fan at all)

On the edge of town which is good, it's quiet, and limits the walkable dining options. Overall, it's a place I would stay again.
