This hotel is nothing less but breathtaking, we enjoyed every moment we spent here. Rooms are beautiful and clean, you have everything here that you might need. Laundry service, buffet style breakfast, lunch, dinner. Georgeous resting area next to the pool with a bar, smoking area. Wifi in the lobby. Returning to the hotel you get al the comfort you need after a tiring hike.

Horrible condition of the room first night room 128 ceiling start to leak when rain, room 129 air conditioning not cold and few lights not working. Days 3 (17/8) the early transport suppose to be 630am as informed by the check in counter during check in . We reach the reception before 630 am, But the lousy attitude front counter service lady, told us 645 am.. but she did not do anything till we go back and feedback to her few times.. she told us not her problem (then is our problem that we have chose such a reputation hotel.) after few round of requests then she takes action..she made few bad remarks on us .. before we left the for the tour. I think is totally not acceptable...lucky we never missed the guided tour ( canopy walk) which start 7am, we reached the park 717am.. the group and guide is waiting for 5 of us. This hotel totally no WiFi.. and not accessible to hand phone telecommunications in the room.. we are like living in jungle... From reception to your room there are no cover. So if rain you need to use your umbrella to walk to your room. if you are just visiting the national park... No need to waste money for a low class hotel.

Family of 5 stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are really comfortable and in good condition. Nice to have the pool at the end of a days trekking. The location is fantastic and feels very luxurious to have all this in such a remote location ant the edge of the jungle.
The one downside is the food. It is expensive (5x local restaurants), many items not available on the menu and the quality not discernibly different from the local restaurants / park HQ.
On balance, I would still recommend this place.

We went there for our anniversary and my brother’s family joined us for his wife’s birthday trip. We had booked separate rooms but the wonderful people at Marriott upgraded us and gave us connecting rooms which was very convenient. Thanks JJ and team ♥️ they definitely went above and beyond. We really appreciate it!

Pool is small when crowded, but nice placed and service is great, but the drinks have no sugar and the alcohol seem to be wrong in taste, could be improved. Rooms are good and clean but a little old fashioned. There is a lack of drying possibilities, guys it's the rainforrest!!! There are no hangers, lines or anything to dry wet clothes!
The place is pretty worn out in many places, but they keep the common areas well. We loved the buffet, lucky because there are not many eat-out options.

Room was lovely and spacious, clean and comfortable although bath towels were not luxurious and fluffy but rather a little on the thin side.
Staff on resort were really friendly.
Food at buffet restaurant was just ok for what we paid. A little uninteresting and not what a expect from Marriott. Meats on buffet were processed. No fresh meats, duck or smoked salmon. No selection of cheese. Salad was poor.

While you get everything including hot bath tub, free shuttle bus is a shared service, and if you have specific schedule, you’d better move ahead, not to miss your activities.

Lovely resort by the river with super rooms, good food and wines, great staff.
Only pity was that the swimming pool was closed.
We hope that the pool will be open for our next visit.
We also recommend that the shuttle bus to the National Park should be more frequent - we had a few delayed pick ups including at the airport when we arrived.

This really is an extraordinary hotel. The staff are magnificent. The rooms are large, sumptuous, and well equipped with beautiful balconies and perfect bathrooms. The staff can’t do enough for you and are amongst the best I’ve bet. As for the location ….. well Mulu is something else altogether. This hotel is a real gem - the best Marriott I’ve stayed in for sure.

Hands down the best place to stay in Mulu, however there are not that many other options. It is pricey, but the resort was very much in character with the island while maintaining the luxury aspects. Food was fine but recommend you head down to park area for local food.

Being in a remote place near dense rain forests, there are bugs and insects at night, especially in the common open areas. If you have phobias of insects and bugs, this place (I dont mean the hotel alone), is not your place. The whole Mulu Park is crawling with (some magnificent and very interesting) insects.

A lovely secluded resort located closely to Mulu National Park. The cave tours are interesting and a bit of an adventure, and there's a lot to see on the treks through the forest. After a day of exploration, it's perfect to come back and relax in the comfortable rooms.

Hotel is very well maintained, staffs are very polite and friendly, late check out wasn’t an issue at all, truly a Malaysian hospitality
