Excellent, visited this hotel as in February 9th 1945 my grandfather was outside here with the the 61st Highland Anti Tank Regiment. Great history in the area and the hotel. We did have a little difficulty during dinner with language barrier mixing our main courses and part of our order was not given however we received excellent help for an English speaking waiter and the situtwas rectified.

Quiet rural setting overlooking the community nestled in the woods yet close enough to access shopping and transportation.

Great location on the edge of the woods, Nice and quite and very friendly staff

The location in the woods is excellent and the building is like a cozy mansion. The beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. Bathroom and shower are very good.
Bar area and service very relaxing
Breakfast buffet is excellent.
Good base for exploring Operation Market Garden area
I’ll stay here again

Firstly, the property is in a great location with lovely views and has been modernized and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately, there is no lift.
There was a lovely, big, comfortable bed in our room and it also had a built-in electric fire. However, the design of room was not to our taste with an open plan bathroom. If you want to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, you have to step up, walk past the bath plumbing, step down, turn right and step up again. With no night light provided. If you turn on the main light, you wake up your partner. And the textured wall really hurts if you bump against it! This is a case of designers not thinking about the use of the room - only its look. The chocolates were so old that they had a white-ish film over them.
The food was great apart from the fact that I had a thick slice of potato that was barely cooked and inedible. On the whole service was good and friendly although 1 waitress, when asked for the dessert menus, said she would send someone over to take our plates away and then come back with the menus. 17 minutes later she came back! In the meantime, after 10 minutes, we had asked another waiter and he immediately cleared the table himself and brought us menus. He was a really hard worker. It seemed as though there was no-one in charge in the restaurant, that all the staff were expected to look after all the tables but then things got missed and there was a lack of communication (which we witnessed with other guests too).

Nice quaint little retreat away from center center, yet within walking distance. Lovely place and would stay again.

The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, and also well maintained.

Enjoyed Staying at this Hotel but was told that if I wanted to eat in the restaurant I should have booked. I was turned away and told to come back later. I then sat through dinner which was very nice but could have been better if I did not have an empty wine glass throughout my meal. This took the shine off my stay.

Stayed here on business as working 2 miles away. Great find, good location, good service, good food. Welcoming staff who speak pretty good English too makes it easier if you ned anything.

The Wolfsberg is a wonderful country-side hotel in a beautiful scenic setting. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant is very welcoming, even for walkers with dogs and the odd horse. It is an outstanding venue for weddings and other family events.

We only stayed one night, but gladly would have stayed more. A very pleasant and friendly welcome. Our late check-in was no problem, everything was already in order so we could go to our room immediately. We decided to have a last dessert/drink and we were pleasantly welcomed out on their terrace overlooking their grounds and a town in the far. And we weren't alone out, still a lot of guests enjoyed the evening out. Service is more than perfect, it's simply how you would like to see it everywhere. After our dessert/drinks we were asked if we wanted a small tour of the building, so so very nice. And it made us appreciate our choice of stay even more perfect. Our room was excellent, large bathroom and one big bed awaiting us to fall asleep after a shower. A fan kept us cool during the night in which we slept like babies. Breakfast the next morning would have probably been of the same quality as the late dessert/drinks but since we had a breakfast appointment elsewhere we had to leave early. Next time definitely a must are a full dinner and than breakfast in the morning.

Amazing does not do it justice. Only 3 Star as er tourist board but travellers have given it close to 5Stars and I see why. Beautifully decorated, fantastic staff, the best bread anywhere and top notch dining..cannot fault it for anything. The staff were the best, always smiling, always willing to help. The dinner I had (special menu Mon-Thu) 2 course was out of this world..I would have paid twice for the soup alone. The breads I have said elsewhere were simply the best I ever had in a hotel/restaurant. 10 Stars

Very good food , lovely gem hidden away. Wifi was not much good - but if you can live without it fora bit , this is a lovely spot to get away from it all. Food is excellent and varied.

Was there with my mother, sister and niece for the 70th Anniversary celebrations of VE Day (Victory in Europe). Had stayed here 10 years previous - new renovations - looks fabulous. Bathrooms are large with new fixtures and showers. Kitchen staff were very accommodating - we arrived very late - and they made us some wonderful soup and snacks. Breakfast buffet is incredible - an amazing choice of food. One morning we had to leave early for a celebration - before the buffet opened - however, the staff came in early just to prepare breakfast for us. Evening meal was excellent - staff is very friendly and helpful.
