The room was dirty with rubbish from other visitors on the floor and dust bunnies on the floor. The room was not ready on our arrival and the bed sheets did fit the bed, slipping off.

Nasty all over the room . We slept on top of the bed . Shower wasn’t working and had mold

Was really interesting staying here. Great looking building from the outside but the inside hasn't been upgraded/renovated in quite some time...40 years maybe!? Great location and the staff were super friendly.

The staff are great. The location is prime of course. But it gets noisy as it right where the action is. Looking for affordable hotel this would be a voice. Simple but clean.

The shower is unbelievably small & so outdated. The toilet is also really snug in the bathroom & overall needs a lot of updating. There’s tons of noise that comes from the street, no matter if the window is shut or not. Reception was good and welcoming but otherwise probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The staff was excellent.. The man at the reception desk during the day was great and humorous.
He was very friendly and helpful. The room 111
was facing the beach with a deck.. the room was great but from the old era, we loved it!!
It was close to everything..We recommend it.

Very friendly staff! We loved our stay and the room with doors opening to the ocean.

It's an older hotel but we enjoyed it. The location was perfect. Google maps took us to the wrong location.

The beach front

Besides a leak from the above room that dripped onto my bathroom floor, it was excellent: shampoo, nice towels, firm bed, and the ocean view!!!! Couldn't ask for a better location. Staff are great. Parking for free? A bit of a hike straight uphill (* but i like exploring!)

The property is right on the boardwalk facing the ocean. This can be good or bad! Lots of activity being on the main boardwalk. We enjoyed our stay. It is an older motel but was clean with comfortable beds.

The hotel was charming, and the desk clerk was very helpful and friendly.

Wonderful old hotel. No elevator to rooms.

Hotel Ribamar was an amazing stay. Being an American, I was surprised by not having a fridge access or any ice in the hotel; however, that is typical for Portugal. It was a super charming hotel with an INCREDIBLE view.

It is for those who likes old times design and atmosphere, furniture and bathroom with separated hot and cold water taps. But everything is very clean. The view through the window is amazing. The beach is awesome, waves are incredible. No parking space at all, I had to drive 3 circles and finally left the car 7 mins walk away.

Great location opposite beach. Friendly staff. If traveling by car drop off and pickup allowed in reserved spot in front of hotel. Free parking available off site in public carparks. Note: no elevator, if that’s a concern. Otherwise enjoyed our stay.

The attendant was mad because we arrived at 8pm, he said checkin was until 7pm and he was about to check me as absent. He was extremely rude and made me feel terrible.
The information said check in until 12
It’s a great location but there is not parking or elevator

Location was amazing. Had a good view of the beach and sunset. The amenities could have been better. Aircon wasn't working and the toilet made a lot of noises.

Although there was a lot of contruction going on, the staff treated us well and helped ease and difficult spots. Lunch was great!

Love this ocean front quaint hotel. Location is perfect and close to the funicular. Great value!
My suggestion to the hotel staff would be to clearly post restaurant schedule/availability for your off-season guests (not the same as what is advertised or posted in the room door). Also communicate when the front desk will be staffed and how to reach staff when there is no one at the desk.
Great little hotel!

Old fashioned design right on the beach. My only demure is that the mattress was lumpy.

The parking was a mess. It is a busy beach town, it would have been so great to have some kind of valet parking service, we had to walk 20 minutes up hills to park, and we are a little older. The location on the beach was fantastic!! Breakfast was ok. And the coffee machine was terrible.
4.0 / 10.0
They did not clean the room or change towels. The beds are not confortable. Very well located, by the beach. Breakfast ok. Very noisy neighborhood and since there is no air conditioning we have the windows open.
6.0 / 10.0
This is a quaint old hotel with just the basics. No air conditioning and if you leave the windows open the street noise is very loud until at lease 2:00 am. The breakfast was lovely, proximity the the beach and restaurants is ideal. Parking is a problem, there is no onsite parking. When we arrived midday we parked about 1.5 miles from the hotel, later in the evening we moved the car closer just up the side street 2-3 blocks from the hotel. Note there is no elevator

A truly classic hotel!
I had an emergency and had to stay overnight at Nazaré last week. I booked the most affordable and convenient hotel I found in Expedia. To my great surprise, it was right in the main street along the beach. A very classic hotel, like the ones you would see in movies of the early 20th century. The staff was super kind, the room was very well maintained and updated. Not a super modern or trendy hotel, but like a good Port this hotel has aged well and retained its classic soul (just talk to the managers for a few minutes and you will see how much they love this place and help guests). My room had a fantastic window and terrace with a view of the ocean, which I enjoyed a lot. The breakfast was great and at an unbeatable price, and even came with a great conversation with the manager who gave me lots of recommendations to enjoy the area.
Even at the rainiest of the winter, the hotel irradiates a homely warmth that I will treasure forever. I can't wait to be back, specially at summer when the yellow and white details of the hotel will perfectly complement the blue of the ocean and the striking of the Nazaré cliffs.

Wonderful old hotel right across from the beach. Don't expect anything modern. Microshower.

Next to the beach is the most positive. Ok breakfast and nice staff BUT really bad beds where every spring is either visible og missing
Very very noisy so remember earplugs.
The room smelled like a 1300 castle ruin ;-)
But next to the beach.

We stayed one night at Ribamar during our roadtrip along the coast of Portugal. For a 1 star hotel, Ribamar was fantiastic! We got a room with ocean view (the hotel is right on the beach), it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. Tatiana in the reception helped us out with the COVID-19 self-test and stored our luggage on the day of our checkout. She was super helpful!
