After initial problem of getting room number and passcode we were able to access room. Room was fine and our stay was pleasant.

A very clean and comfortable place to sleep. Perfect place to stop for the night and close to downtown.

This is a simple but nice motel. The room was homey, warm, and comfortable. Also, the shower instantly had hot water that didn’t run out, which was much appreciated. Amenities included a microwave, a decently sized mini fridge, and a TV with some good channel and streaming options. Also check-in was super easy—they just text or email you with the room number and the keypad code.
The bed was fine, kinda springy with middling to soft firmness. The sheets were soft but quite warm (polyester) and the AC/heater was a little fiddly to figure out.
I’d probably stay there again as it’s good quality for the price and convenient for the area. I came for the dark sky headlands and it was super close to the entrance.

Very nice and clean room. Friendly staff.

We didn’t have any coffee, conditioner, shampoo And the bathroom was very, very dark. It needs a new light - It was old.
The one bed almost fell off of the metal frame it was on!!!
After I said, they review, the office said there was coffee in the office. I don’t want to come in my PJs to get the coffee - Ridiculous!

The place was nice, quiet and safe. The refrigerator did not work, however. We are just letting the owners know so that they can inspect before the next guests.

Well folks, it all depends upon your perspective, what you are used to, and what you are using the room for. This IS a MOTEL, and they were popular when I was a kid back in the 60/70s, so I felt like I was going back in time. the rooms were ALL wood, and therefore rather DARK (room 27) The interior desecrator should have used a lighter bedspread for certain and a little lighter carpet would have helped. Paintings need a bit of updating as well. So here is the BAD and the GOOD from my perspective. Bathroom was small and the sink and dressing area are open to the room and window so you dress behind a curtain. they provide all you need (even Kleenex) but I gotta tell you the towels are small and I am not a large person. TV took a bit of getting used to but then we really were not there much. No coffee in room gotta walk to office each morning. Beds were comfortable to me and sheets were super soft. NO water provided but they do have ice. It is a convenient location you can walk to two good eateries like 2 blocks as well as groceries, and town is 4 blocks. The place was really clean and the workers there are super friendly and helpful in every way. So all in all, if you just need a bed to sleep in, a good hot shower (pressure was just ok), and you don't mind a little dark and dungie, this is a great value for this high-priced town. and if you consider that the Island a ferry ride away is still using horse and buggies to get around, this place is ahead of it

Very nice motel, very close within 5-20 mins walking distance to eat or to the ferry terminal. Can't hear the interstate thats 2 blocks away. Easy to get into and out of, light traffic on the main road. Good base camp if you are spending most of your time out and about.

Although the property is not new construction, the room was so quaint and cozy.

We liked the vintage feel of the rooms and very clean. I know it is an older motel, but really needs to be updated in the bathroom areas to make safer and more accessible for older people and those that have physical disabilities, especially with the toilets being so low to the ground. And unfortunately because of this we could not stay there again.

Simply wonderful

There was a small refrigerator in the room. The room had a very strong smell of MOLD. There were 2 areas in front of the frig where the carpet was wet from leaking. Based on the smell and condition of the carpet in front of the frig it has been leaking and wet for MONTHS.

Great value and super clean. Only recommendation is better pillows. Would stay here again.

Good, but they need to get their televisions in working order.

I was a little skeptical about their check in/out process but it worked seamlessly
and couldn't be any easier. This property has very clean rooms. Beds were comfortable although a little on the firm side. If you're looking for quiet, this is the place. I could not hear the room next door and barely heard car doors which are conveniently parked right at your door. Nice lighting inside and out. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and flat screen tv are included. Loved the sink/counter space with corner shelves on each end. Bathroom was small but shower was clean and had adequate water pressure. Stayed three nights and had plenty of towels. I did not have any need for extras so I cannot review the service from staff but I do know they are on site 24 hrs. Shopping district is a short, strait drive down the road with easy access to the Mackinac Bridge. This is probably the best motel I have ever stayed at. I will definetely be staying again!

Deb and Lorraine were wonderful.
The tv didn't work.
The bed didn't seem like a queen size. It was much smaller. I think it was a double and very uncomfortable

A great old school motel with some vintage features. The mattresses were comfortable and things were clean. And although it looked like the shower head was missing, it functioned just fine—good water pressure! There was a weird smell that dissipated a bit after we turned on the ceiling fan.

Very clean

Blonde hairs were visible in my guestroom from previous visits. Rooms are not as clean as they could (and should!) be, especially given that this motel has a six hour gap between check-out and check-in of the next guest. Poor quality bath toiletries. Limited number of small, thin bath towels.

Liked convenience to ferry a d dark sky park

Clean and fairly well kept, but definitely worn and cheap supplies (paper thin tiny towels, 3 in 1 bath product, etc.

Cute nice clean place to stay, it’s quiet around the Motel, rooms are simple and clean. Nice 10min walk to downtown Mackinaw City, 15min walk to the ferry. We enjoyed our stay !! They have virtual check in and check out which is awesome!

Best motel weve stayed in. Very clean.

I like being able to drive right up to our room. The pool was nice. Our room was very clean. My only complaint was the air conditioner. It was very noise and didn't seem to work well. It was very humid in our room.

I had a difficult time getting my door code to work. Some kind of system issue.

This is one of the cleanest properties i have ever seen. Almost unbelievable. Comfortable beds and pillows. Parking steps from the door. Super, super quiet. I would put this room against the rooms triple the price in Mackinaw City.
1.5 / 5.0
The room while old was very clean. The problem was that the air conditioner wasn’t working properly. The room was musty and humid. We thought it was maybe because the air was off but even after 3 days the air never really worked correctly and smell and dampness in the room remained. Problem was that no one was there to handle the issue. Maybe it was only our room because the reviews were stellar and the distance to downtown Mackinac city was great.

Check in was very easy. Room was very clean, staff was very knowledgeable about the area and what we were looking for. Would recommend this stay to everyone.

We had a nice stay for one night! The room smelled like mildew but everything was clean for the most part. Upon waking up in the morning we were stuffy and our throats were dry presumably from the air conditioning. Overall, the stay was alright.
4.0 / 5.0
Good place to book for the night however the room had a strong smell of cigarettes. Had to spray perfume to get rid of it. Wasn’t too bad after that.
Cute room with nice vibes.
