Everything about Le Domaine Anse Marcel Beach Resort was spectacular. The staff were so friendly and helpful from even before we arrived. The location was absolutely gorgeous- the view of the ocean, hills and sandy beach. The drinks and food were perfection. I have to say the hill to get there was daunting at first but after the first time up & over it was actually fun to drive and the views simply breathtaking from all sides. The marina was a short walk away and had cute shops & the Italian restaurant was pretty good as well. I hope to be back soon!

Domaine Anse Marcel is extraordinary! We will return!
The location is wonderful, especially if you want to relax in quiet solitude. Our room, a premium suite, was very large with 1 bedroom, a living room, a full kitchen, and 2 baths (one with a tub and the other with a shower). The rooms were very beautifully decorated and very, very clean. The gated property is in a secluded area on the northwest side of the island accessed by one steep and winding road. It is located on a small bay with a pristine sandy beach and calm waters perfect for swimming or snorkeling. We stayed during the off-season and there were never more than 25 people on the long beach. Usually, there were only 4-6 people. The restaurant/bar on the beach served wonderful food for breakfast and lunch, and an excellent assortment of drinks. The marina adjacent to the property has three restaurants, a small grocery store and some small shops. It also offers various watersports options. Lively Orient Bay is only about 4 miles away.
The staff is incredible! Everyone from Stephane, the manager and his assistant Clemence to the restaurant staff, beach boys (shout out to Leo!) and housekeepers are very friendly, helpful, efficient and accommodating. By the end of our 5-day stay they seemed like friends.
Domaine Anse Marcel is as perfect as you will find.

Property on a superb beach. Staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Accommodations excellent . Great location near many places of interest.

This is a beautiful, quiet resort on a small, private cove with a beautiful beach. The rooms have kitchenettes and are stocked with basic supplies. There’s a huge soaking tub available as well as a separate shower and bathroom. The beds are comfortable, AC worked really well and the daily housekeeping service was excellent.
The open air restaurant serves a huge breakfast, and offers gourmet lunch that rivals any five star restaurant. There are individual gazebos available for small size tables (2-4). There are two seatings for lunch, at 12 and 2pm, and you need a reservation.
The beach service is outstanding. The young man sets up everything by 9am and is quick to provide service all day long. The ocean water is warm and calm. Good snorkeling right off shore.
I swam in the pool each morning after my ocean swim.
While there I had a great mani/pedi. Salon service is excellent. The boutique has cute clothes and accessories.
Stephan at the front desk was friendly, had a bright smile for us each day, and booked all of our dinner reservations at Grand Chance restaurants.
The marina next door has shopping, a grocery store, three restaurants and a hotel. It is where our scuba dive originated, which was really convenient.
I stayed at this resort 8 nights and I will happily go back again!

Great place with wonderful people

We absolutely love this hotel that is steps away from probably the best beach in St. Martin, especially if you like calmer waters to swim. Their restaurant is actually on the beach. The rooms are very modern and spacious, plenty of lighting, and importantly, very good air conditioning.
After 3 nights at another hotel with lifeless air conditioning in their rooms and a cramped space, I changed to this hotel after meeting the property manager Stephane, who presented choices of beautiful rooms that were available.
The entire crew at the hotel were courteous and friendly, including the wait staff, restaurant managers, and beach staff. There was never a feeling of being treated differently for not speaking French, but just the opposite.
The right hotel can make or break a vacation, and this one made it wonderful for me and my wife. We will absolutely return to this hotel, and hopefully by this coming winter.

The room had the most uncomfortable wooden chairs and the bed was hard as a rock. No Kleenex or paper towels or cream rinse was supplied. The kitchen did not have basic utensils to even heat up leftovers. The best part of the resort was the wonderful restaurant with spectacular views. The beach was beautiful and calm. I would not return.

Very nice place. my only complaint is that I had to request more toilet paper and our trash cans were never emptied. After a few days they were overflowing and still not emptied.

The view from the balcony was very nice.
The road there is hilly and twisty.

Beautiful, laid back with stunning sea views at one side and green mountain hills on the other. I resided few minutes walk away from the beach. Dinning is a healthy light french cuisine at the sea front restaurant with efficient and skilled waiting staff but it comes at the price. I spent 100 euros a day to eat there. And Don Perinion champagne at 540 euros per bottle. Anna the waitress is a petite ball of fire that I truly befriended.Facilities are at great standards and everyone was friendly. Almost everyone was French but most people spoke English which was a relief to me. I took an island tour for a day and to he rest of the week I spent chilling sunbathing and swimming. The sea was my biggest magnet and I spent 2 hours a day on intensive swimming. There were no fouls I can think off hence I give this location 10/10.
Thank you for an amazing holiday time

Beach good, young staff in the main really trying and of cheerful service. Owner clearly not re-investing. Threadbare small towels, rooms ok but no more than that (door lock sticking, shower head in need of replacing, etc). Price point reflects what you get. Just not quality in 2024.

Excellent in night stay with great logistics to transfer to sailboat in nearby marina for bareboat rental. Unique French design without a shower in room.

We had a great stay in the resort. Unfortunately, we only had one night there so didn't get to try the restaurant. The location of the resort and the beach are gorgeous!

Lovely stay at Anse Marcel. Nathalie, Stephan, and the whole team made this an enjoyable stay. The beach was lovely and the food was always amazing. Recommend this quiet resort for a peaceful stay on Saint-Martin.

The photos do not tell the story. This is not a high end hotel as they boast. The buildings and grounds are in outrageously bad condition. One room may be in tact but the room next to you may be without doors and furnishings. Many rooms are boarded up with plywood. People are clearly living in some rooms and the grounds become their backyard. Drying laundry etc. The focus is clearly on the restraints and beach which do seem lovely but it was not enough for me to stay in the destruction they call a luxury hotel. If they were honest and the cost reflected either their struggle or disregard for the accommodations ok but if you think you are going to stay in their photos you will be disappointed.

This property is absolutely gorgeous, right on the beach. There is a marina adjacent that has some shops and a few restaurants. There is a nature reserve adjacent where you can hike to a private beach. It is a peaceful, fairly secluded location. You can have the hotel order taxis to visit other areas of the island but it’s pricey and a fair distance. Best to just enjoy time on the beach where there are staff who will bring you food and drinks. Overall, a truly gorgeous property with many open air spaces - a very restful location

Wonderful resort.
We enjoyed two weeks of relaxation! The staff is very attentive and eager to please This private location is a short drive away from every amenity you might need… making this an ideal vacation spot! Will return as soon as we can!

One of the best beaches on the island if you like clean water with calm waves and nice sand. Abundant fun amenities were not explained fully at check in. Although not all inclusive, you could spend most of the time at the resort for a low key and enjoyable vacation. Very good restaurant on the beach. Grounds need attention after hurricane damage. Careful and skillful driving required when going over the steep hill to enter and leave the resort.

Housekeeping service really poor during the 10 days staying we did not receive more than twice tea coffee and bottle of water which supposed to be delivered every single day

Great location, everything perfectly maintained. Excellent service.
2.5 / 5.0
Overall quite nice. Good food, nice beach though water visibilty poor. Swimming pleasant. Needed a boat to get to any reef. Ownership structure strange: owner of 83 of 200 hundred units runs the hotel, rest are timeshare, many empty, in disrepair. Common areas need a dose of capital. Staff friendly. Breakfast7:30-9:30 could go longer.
Island of St Martin mountainous, rather scrub like most Carib. Islands. Very relaxing, a return visit would take side trips, St Bart’s

There were still several boarded up rooms that hadn't been repaired from the hurricane. As a hotel guest, you weren't given any preferential access to the beach or dining facilities. You literally had to compete against the locals for reservations and access. We ended up eating elsewhere for all but 1 meal.
2.5 / 5.0
We were not entirely sure of what to expect - especially given the re-build that was necessary post hurricane and covid.
We need not have been worried - physically the resort is in great shape but most of all the whole area (this hotel plus nearby facilities which are all under the same ownership) is staffed by the most amazing staff. At every level they are enthusiastic, service orientated, well trained, friendly - and smiling!
This really is a perfect location - away for the razamatazz of some parts of the island. The beach restaurant is especially notable as a serious lunchtime eatery. It serves great continental breakfasts too. By now the fine dining evening restaurant will also be open.
