This is a lovely Haitian hotel, which means, it is distinctly and beautifully itself. It is *not* the Marriott down the road, which is definitely more transnational high-end, genuine five-star, from gleaming elevators to immaculate aircon rooms. The Palm Inn is a small, family-run and owned, personal hotel, with outside winding staircases and bougainvillea, located right by the airport. If you would like to feel like you haven’t left home, Marriott is great; if you want a small, personal, Haitian family experience, with ups and downs in terms of water temperature and pressure, electricity and Wi-Fi a tad unpredictable, but consistently lovely food and the warmest smiles and welcome, I have been coming here for the past ten years, and this is the place to come.

Private. Very nice landscaping. Restaurant on premises. Prices for food at restaurant was overpriced. Check in was ... they couldn’t find my reservation and it didn’t matter to them that I brought my receipt and itinerary as proof, because it wasn’t had-written on their books.

I have stayed at the Palm Inn many times in the past few years. It is my "go-to" place before I need to be at the airport since I live over an hour away and the roads can be unpredictible. I have also gone just for some much needed respite from the heat and stresses of ministry here in Haiti. It is peaceful, quiet, and I am always treated well and feel safe (I am usually alone). Be sure to stop by to see Zeus and tell him I said hello. 😉

I liked the vegetation.... great location.....5 minutes to the airport....people were friendly....cute bird that sings and talks, food was okay. Cons: coffee machine in room had moldy coffee grains in it, sink in bathroom leaks onto floor.....you can hear other people talking next door (nothing to muffle sound - little drapery and no rugs), pool looked neglected.

It is a nice place. It is simple, but everything you need is there. It is clean, the restaurant is nice. The palm trees provide a lot of shade and are beautiful. The price is very good compared to the others near by. It is a little difficult to find, it is on a dirt road and not a lot of signage. I used the airport pick up and that worked fine, except we were suppose to get another person, as well, but the driver never found the other person. So, we did wait quite awhile for him and left once someone gave a report that everyone was out of the airport.

Very nice hotel close to the airport. Shuttle makes getting to and from airport easy. Nice restaurant on grounds with very friendly servers. Electricity/generator is sometimes on/off but staff do their best to make guests comfortable and, after all, this is to be expected in Haiti.

Friendly staff and great hotel service. Restaurant was a little slow, but worth the wait. Great food and breakfast omelets. Pleasant rest and relaxation for 3 days after 3 weeks of nonprofit work. The pool was inviting and clean.

We stayed here for the first time and we were staying just one nite as we were on our way back to the cold, frozen Great, White North. We had just completed a rather gruelling 4 hour car trip over the mountain from Marigot via Jacmel with another couple. We were hot, dusty and feeling rather beat up as a result.
We had a wee bit of a problem finding the hotel due to a lack of signage but we learned that the sign was being refinished so this should not be a problem for others. Then we had just a we bit of a problem locating the office to sign in. Who knew that it would right in the front under a .... are you ready for this ..... beautiful, big palm tree? We were about an hour early for check in time but this made no problem at all. We were immediately shown to our rooms. The rooms are a good size and very, very clean. The entrance doors themselves are from local craftsmen as most everything else in the room including local art on the walls. Beautiful! And definitely not 'chain hotel' inspired.
The a/c's were working great, thank you very much and the warm water shower was terrific. The pool was refreshing and the restaurant food was very good but not as good as the staff were to us. They were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our free breakfast with an omelet and fruit etc. Let us not forget the great Haitian coffee either.
The location is secure, quiet, clean and well cared for. Just remember that this is Haiti and you will thoroughly enjoy your stay here. Very hard beds aside.

This hotel has the potential to be so much better. Small but basic changes would make a big difference. For example: Bottled drinking water in each room, many more than just two routers for the whole hotel, better training of staff on administrative issues [I was over charged for dinner and no one knew how to reimburse my credit card], acceptance of AmEx cards.

The Palm Inn Hotel is a great Haitian hote. It's not a chain, so don't expect fancy finishes and continuously hot water. But as far as Haitian hotels go, this one is by far the best. It's very clean, the bathrooms were spotless and not old or grimy. The beds are comfortable and the AC worked great. The grounds are gorgeous and very relaxing. The food was absolutely amazing, just be aware it will take a good 45 minutes for food to get to the table, which is par for the course in Haiti. The lights went in and out a few times, but the generator always kicked on. The owner was super friendly. Location is close to the airport in a very safe part of town. Overall we had a great stay and will certainly stay again!
