Great service, excellent food, beautiful setting.

We had a great stay! We enjoyed the room, the pool, and the walkability to other amenities off of the property. Taxi service was easy, fast, and affordable to downtown San Jose. We would stay here again and although we didn't bring our kids this time, we know our kids would have enjoyed this resort too.

The hotel is nice. The view was great and the gym was well appointed. The beds were a bit hard, not horrible, but not the most comfortable.
The food was mediocre and EXTREMELY overpriced. The "American Breakfast" was $46 (include 16% mandatory tip). We're taking 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes and fruit. I'd expect to pay that in a nice hotel in NYC, but we're talking Cabo here!
For dinner, we ate at Cielomar on the rooftop. Great view and the service was good. Again, it felt like price gouging. My daughter had a 7oz filet and it was $101.
I'm not trying to nitpick, but the same filet at an upscale steakhouse in Scottsdale, AZ is $71 (with tip)... generally, Mexico isn't a 30% premium to US prices.
We also had an incident where the service staff entered our room without knocking. My wife had just exited the shower, and luckily had dressed 30 seconds prior.
Lastly, we were charged $200 for a massage we didn't get. I have emailed the hotel, but have't heard back yet.
Everyone was nice, but we've stay elsewhere in Cabo and had better experiences.

I am certain that this is a resort I want to visit again. The butler service was, of course, exceptional. Both my wife and I felt more relaxed than we had expected.

This is one of the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I’d highly recommend!!

We absolutely enjoyed the ambience of the resort. Super Chill, Zen Vibez, delicious food, excellent service. The spa was incredible coupled with hydrotherapy. Top shelf liquor, yummy house cocktails, and views of the ocean and beach at every pool.
We did get hit with a tropical storm and still received first class services. Our elevator didn’t work for a full day due to the tropical storm but we didn’t mind walking.
The workout room is absolutely fabulous with the best equipment and enough room to do HIIT training.
If you want a beautiful room and a relaxing escape, this is the place.

Excellent all around. If you are looking for a high end modern stay this is the place. Really quite, not so much noise or activities from your regular resorts, again really quite, modern, clean, VIP treatment all the time.

I recently stayed at Viceroy Los Cabos, and it was an incredible experience! The architecture is stunning, blending seamlessly with the ocean views. The staff was attentive and made sure every detail was perfect. The rooms were luxurious, with modern amenities and breathtaking views. Whether relaxing by the pool or exploring the local area, every moment was pure bliss. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway.

I love the Viceroy and its staff so much, they always welcome you with the best and friendliest attitude willing to make their guests happy. The amenities are superb and the food is delicious. I also love having access directly to the beach!

Nice place to stay if you just need to relax in a quiet, clean environment. I thought it just lacked some proactive types of entertainment for guests.

Resort is small and has beautiful views. Staff is very friendly. Food and drinks are good but exceptionally overpriced compared to other five star resorts. Cabo as a whole has become extremely overpriced.

Overall, we had a great time here. Above all, the customer service and workers were phenomenal. The staff was so accommodating and excellent. 10/10 in regards to how excellent they were. Given that this is a 5 star hotel, I would say the actual property is more like a 4 or 4.5 stars. The gym was very very nice. The pools were nice but small. I know it’s very difficult to do in the summer but the pools were like saunas. They were so hot. As a 5 star property I would expect this not to be the case. Additionally the spa was great and they had an entire hydrotherapy area which included a hot tub, sauna, steam room and cold plunge… all of the hot hydrotherapies worked but the one we were looking forward to the most, the cold plunge, wasn’t working while we were there. I’m curious how long it has been out of commission. As I mentioned this is what we were looking forward to the most and we were disappointed to find out it wasn’t working. In regards to the location, it was a great location with excellent restaurants all around the area which I strongly recommend. Leading me to my last point — the food. Our biggest issue with the property was the food and drinks. It was outrageously expensive and not good. We tried three of their restaurants on the property and all of them were very average for the price. For example, I paid $38 usd for a wagyu burger and I would’ve preferred a $10 burger from five guys. Every cocktail is $20 at least as well and they are average tasting.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Viceroy. The staff is incredibly welcoming and even the people on the street greet you with “buenos dias” often. Great excursions nearby (horseback riding, dolphin attraction and Cabo San Lucas was great for a sunset cruise. Also, the food at the resort was terrific and great quality. We will definitely return! The trip was MAGICAL!!!

Bad customer service, services promised not rendered, asked not to be disturbed but still called the room. Requested turndown service- no follow up. Asked for bath towels twice, got bathrobes left at the door. Extra items on food bill multiple times. Food quality was awful- sent food back, oysters not fresh, steak- inedible.

The Viceroy is an unparalleled experience and it is worth the stay. However, some fundamentals need strengthening: HVAC; plumbing; consistency in onboarding policies (welcome champagne). The meals are also too high for the general quality. More culinary expertise is warranted to match the price, Cielomar notwithstanding. The Butler service is a wonderful idea and Mariana, who was assigned to my family and dog was knowledgeable, responsive, professional, and diligent. The space is absolutely gorgeous and there is an air of exclusivity and privacy. With some strategic interventions, the Viceroy will easily be worthy of 5 stars.

The property and staff were amazing at the Viceroy. All of our requests were answered promptly which was greatly appreciated.

This was our first and LAST time staying at this property. You couldnt pay me to go back. The reviews and photos that you will find online are very deceiving. They must be fake reviews and definitely doctored photoshopped property images. This place is not upscale. Its very dated. You can do a lot better with your money at much nocer places in Cabo. If you want a mid tier experience then this one is great. But if you are considering staying here because you read reviews and you think this is going to be a nicer upscale place then do not stay here. The staff is friendly and the rooms are big. But that alone cannot save a propery. The food was hit or miss and actually made a few people im our party sick. Drink orders at the pools took forever. The pools are really weak and small. Which makes zero sense with all the useless water they have all over the property. No clue why but the pool temps are hot. Literally 90° Not refreshing at all on hot July day. There are no places on property with air conditioning. The layout of the grounds make absolutely no sense. it's hot and uncomfortable everywherere with nowhere to escape the heat. Our group had 2 different hotel rooms in 2 completely different wings of the property and both of us had terrible air conditioning in our rooms as well. I had a talk with the general manager and if his condescending personality is a reflection of the quality of this resort then it makes perfect sense. I couldnt wait to leave

Service was terrible all the way around. I’ve stayed in many Viceroy hotels and enjoyed myself but this was something completely outside of the Viceroy quality I’ve experienced. The check in was absolutely terrible, took about 30 minutes and there was no line; the attendant at the front desk was rude and inconsiderate and I had to ask her how to get to my room, along with all the other basic checking protocols. Further to that, she called me at 10pm at night when I was already asleep telling me that they needed payment for the airport pickup before the end of the night, somehow they mis-completed the card on file process and they chased me about it after I was lights out for the night. The service at the restaurants was slow and inconsiderate. I was asked by security for my room number when I was taking a morning walk through the property to the beach. Never experienced such unprofessionalism after paying such a 5 star price for a room. Will never go to this hotel again.
