I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was completely awesome. The room was nice. The only thing I will say is it was a little loud sometimes at night. It was just a little loud and then early in the morning other than that it was great.

We only spent one night in this hotel. The room was fine, the bed was big and comfortable. There was a water dispenser downstairs with cool water. Overall it was good for a short stay!

Fin and fairly clean. Not a neighborhood to go out in the dark. Some mattresses are ok, some quite bad.
Our room was at the end of the building just by the truck stop/warehouse with quite a lot of noise and light in the night.
Acceptable quality at the price.

I have traveled to almost 100 countries and this was probably my most uncomfortable stay ever. Yes, you tend to get what you pay for and it was a very cheap place. Also, it’s Central America, so not being able to go out at night is not unusual (the cab driver told me, the neighborhood was too dangerous). However, I just didn’t feel very safe in my room either. The lock on the door seemed weak, but I always put the suitcase in front of it, anyways. However, there is also a huge sliding window by the bed that leads out into the hallway which couldn’t be properly locked…I eventually decided to sleep with the lights on. Also, due to this situation and the absent safe, I had to take all my valuables and passport with me on excursions. There was a cockroach in my room and the showerhead was so full of black goo that I decided against washing my hair during my entire stay. The bed at least was clean and the ladies working there were extremely kind (even if they didn’t speak any English). There is also a small tienda across the street, where you can buy snacks at reasonable prices. Nonetheless- I would not recommend this place to solo travelers. For any others: you get what you pay for and might be better off, paying a little more.

A very nice place to stay especially for the price. Very nice and charming decor. The staff is friendly and helpful. The downside is that I couldn't get a strong Wi-Fi signal in my room and had to go to the lobby to get any work done. They need a second router for such a big place. Also, my toilet seat was broken, which made it uncomfortable to sit on. Other than those things, we really liked our stay there.

Before I checked out I informed the manager, that the rooms stunk of mold, and that it was not necesary to have the room next to mine, vigorous, noisy cleaning at 7am, dragging furniture around. The hotel only had about 3 rooms booked. Totally unneccessary. my thinking is the client is number one. I said I would give his hotel a negative review, poor value for my money. My money has legs. good day

Walkable to city center to and tourist places. I used it as my landing spot while I learned about the city and surrounding places.

Well worth price easy check in. For a one night stay it’s great. Shower, tv, bed, the soda right next door has the best food around. Alll in all for the 25 bucks it’s well worth it.

They have roaches everywhere. The area around is kind of sketchy. You can hear cars outside and people talking.

We had a fine stay here. Area is dicey at night but hotel is good for a quick stay and go. It’s clean and comfortable if you need a cheap place to stat

I stayed at a super basic room but it is enough if you just want a bed since it’s super close to the bus station (where I took the bus to Coco beach). I arrived very late and the hotel check me in which is good.

The room had a window on the corridor, but no window was facing the external of the building. The bathroom had a very noisy and broken fan. From the bathroom was coming a terrible smell of piss. I had to keep the door closed. The toilet seat was broken, it had a few holes. The bedsheet were clean but, like the blanket, they had holes. The place was really noisy, the bed not really comfortable. The neighborhood is not recommendable, it's a cheap hotel for locals. Don't go if you are a tourist.

It is a convenient location for transportation within Costa Rica as it is close to the bus station and the airport.

The staff here were awesome! Everything I asked for was immediately taken care of.
At one point, I asked if they knew where I could get a couple of shirts repaired. They called a local tailor, who dropped by within a few minutes to pick up the shirts. Within an hour, I had them back, in perfect condition.
I'd always drop off my room key at the front desk whenever I left the hotel. Maybe I was the only one, because they always knew me when I returned, and always had my key ready for me, even when there was a long line of people checking in. I really appreciated that.
The property itself is modest, but comfortable. The rooms have good black-out curtains. They have some rooms facing the street. In those, there are some traffic noises, and you can hear some music and activity from the restaurant/bar downstairs. Personally, I liked that. They also have quieter interior rooms.

This is a great place, good people and there's a lot of restaurants around and walking distance to everything. They have free water at the front desk. It would be nice if they keep some tea or coffee too.

This is a great hotel for the price, staff really good, walking distance to food and TUASA bus station. Good size bathroom and room. Take a room in the 3rd floor, pin drop silence

Hotel Has Great location in Center of San Jose.
Reception very friendly however rooms very small with no windows, thin walls, quit loud. Water was warm and room very clean.
Great price for late stop without thrills and leave in the morning. I would use it again when in San Jose.

Noisy, good for one night stay, very close to Tica Bus and very close to Mepe

great hotel. great price. but, a lot of noises from traffic.

Too noisey. Guest too loud in the hallway. Paper thin walls. Cheap shades. No privacy. No phone. No breakfast. Bed crappy. No towels or pillows.

The place was clean, but had to wait for towels and the ceiling fan did not work. It was uncomfortably warm.

Hotel is located directly in front of the bus station (Tralapa) Makes it very easy to continue your trip if traveling by bus. Hotel room was very clean, wifi and television included. Staff was extremely helpful with transportation to and from the airport if needed.

Very nice little place in San José with very friendly and accommodating members of staff. Everything as pictured and stated, we only stayed overnight because of our plans but everything was catered to perfectly, from late check in to early check out.
2.0
The staff was kind and accommodating, however the locks on the room door were very unsafe and the window to the room did not have a screen or a lock. I would not recommend this to solo travelers.

Room is cleaned everyday. Hot water provided. Close to Alajuela terminal so you can walk there.
3.0
Staff were very friendly & helpful. There was good security in the hotel, although the outside environs were a bit seedy. You need to take taxis for security at night (only $2 to take you to any of the bus stations), rather than walking or taking a bus. Room was clean but basic, quiet in the back of the property. Overall, if youre looking to save money, this is a good place to stay, one step above a hostel, so that you have a private room with a private bathroom/hot shower.
2.5
The place was clean and comfortable. A good budget stay. Not my prefarable place to walk around at night. I would recomend the place
