Terrible management, bad conditions. This is not a hotel. This is a hostel. Pictures on the website are different from the offered rooms. During my stay, I felt a strong smell from the toilet drain. If you want a room similar to those pictures, you are charged extra. During my stay, a guy from reception took of his shirt and stayed like that for hours. Area near the pool is very cute, breakfast is nice. On the other hand, I wish I could have my money back.

The hotel its a good option if youre staying a couple of days in Rio do Janeiro. The rooms are a bit small, but the staff is amazing and really sweet, and everything is aesthetically pleasing! The breakfast could be improved, but it was really good! Its also very well located

from the beginning they treated me better than my own family. The general manager Cassio took his time from work to guide my family to the many locations we wanted to explore, and always checked on us if we needed something. During new years eve, we got robbed at the beach and even though we did not have that day reserved, he welcomed us in the lobby, fed us and also provided water, also provided us with all the bathroom needs. I never been treated like royalty but now i know how it feels like. I will always come back to this hotel and this hotel only. Extremely recommended

I booked here based on the picures of hotel and reviews. Honestely, i was very disappointed by all. Staff showed me different rooms when i checked in but there were all the same bad. Building was out dated and room condition was just like cheap hostel. Washroom cailing was opened so your partner can hear all you do in there. Windows are very old so i didnt feel secure. Does not lock properly. The only nice thing was staff. I chosed to check-in another hotel nearby although i already paid for this. Refund was not available.

i loved this place despite the negative reviews i found they were quite accommodating specially as i had stressful airport transfers which involved late at night traveling to and from the airport. The hotel owner Daniel is awesome, kind and friendly he helped me with all my transfers and got me a taxi to see some sights. food i never ate at the restaurant just because the restaurants around the hotel are awesome and such abundance of food around i had no need to eat at the hotel. the food provided was clean and well prepared and looked good as well. airport transfers must be arranged through Daniel which cost you from RS 50 to RS 100 so prepare for it but it will be arranged safely for you. i found my rooms which were 6, 8 and 10 were clean and good i slept like a crazy but i loved this hotel

The room is quite stylish but a bit small for 3. Good breakfast and convenient location.

I spent a few days in Casa Tuxi, the staff is great, always helpful and checking all the details to make my stay super confortable. My only advise is regarding the wifi which doesnt work in the room and was weak sometimes in the lobby.

We chose the hotel for a-locality and b-cost.It is located in a great location for the metro and walking. The pictures on hotels.com are nothing like reality though.Breakfast was good. Our room had a bed and a bedside table on one side and a wall on the other. Theres nowhere to hang clothes or shelves to out anything on. Theres one chair only. There is a fridge though. We were there for 4 nights and although we asked for a change of towels after the 2nd night, and the bin emptied, neither was done in the 4 days we stayed. Wifi in the reception area only; our room had a window onto the passageway and there was a light on most of the night which was annoying. Most of the staff spoke English which was a bonus. You have to ask for a hairdryer if you need one.It would have been nice to have some insight of how to get to everywhere when asked or even before asking. Perhaps an informational leaflet would be helpful.Theres a supermarket a little to the left on exiting the hotel which has a restaurant. Excellent pizzas. You order your food, choose the wine or beer from the supermarket and sit at the table. Fabulous - but we found it; no one told us which was a pity.Would we stay again? Yes but. It that room.
