The property is on the water and very peaceful. It is a great location to explore Port Renfrew. You can walk to one of the few restaurants available in the area. The service desk is not onsite. The internet is slow and unreliable. They really need to mop the floors when they clean the rooms.

Ours was a cottage in the row of cottages. Beautiful setting on the pier. Enjoyed the front sitting area with a fire table watching people go by. Inside was cabin like but very comfortable. Bath tub/shower plumbing was finicky- had to push/pull to change from tub to shower snd hot/cold. Communication by email only. Instructions easy yo follow.

Beautiful location and very peaceful. Was a bit disappointed after reading previous reviews about cleanliness. I took off my shoes inside the cottage and looked at my white socks and they were black on the bottom! So I don't think the floor had been mopped in a long time. Everything else looked and seemed clean. My only other issue was the king bed. It needs to be replaced (unit #5). Didn't sleep that great- every time you moved it sounded like firecrackers going off below making it difficult to have a restful sleep. I'm thinking the bed spring needs to be replaced. For the rate we paid, I expected a better quality bed. Otherwise, a nice little cottage!

We picked this place because we could be self contained. Kitchen supplies were previously removed due to covid but were supposedly restocked. We had to fill out a form multiple times to request basic items like glasses and bowls. The staff member on the phone was curt, arguing with basic requests. Have a check list or reduce the very high rate.

Excellent location, excellent cottages, nice view

Very quick and easy check in, with good information in the guest book in the room. Loved how close it was to the pub and ocean and a nice, small size. Not too many people and beautiful! All around, amazing stay.

Absolutely stunning and extremely peaceful. This was a wonderful retreat. I wish we wouldve had more time here!

Stayed at the wharfside studio, was small but seemed to have everything you may need when away. Felt like it was well thought out. Really enjoyed the gas fire pit overlooking the wharf/water, very helpful staff.

We stayed for 2 nights in the beachfront cottages. This place was one of a kind for its incredible view. We so much enjoyed sitting out on our deck with the gas fire pit turned on, and watching eagles fishing for food, watching the tide coming in, etc. The cabin itself was very cozy, clean, and well-appointed. We made good use of the coffee, tea, and hot chocolate provided in the room. The communication beforehand was excellent. The cons- (1) I wish there was more information about what is stocked in the kitchen. Had we known that there were pots and pans, salt and pepper, and basic cooking utensils, we would have definitely brought in more groceries and done our own cooking since food options are so limited in the area. The general store has limited frozen and canned goods. (2) Lack of privacy. The cottages/decks overlooking the water are all right next to each other, with very little privacy or separation between the decks. We were hoping for complete quiet, but unfortunately the group next door had different ideas and were loudly enjoying their deck until midnight one night, while we were trying to sleep. (3) The sheets on the bed were not soft at all, almost scratchy. Also the fitted sheet did not fit the mattress all the way, so it would slip. I know that this is a really small thing, but it is an expectation when you are paying so much money for a room! Overall, I would still recommend this place, just be aware of the above.

We had an amazing experience. We were in cottage number 3 and had the most peaceful imaginable. The only noise was in the mornings when the eagles flew down from the trees fishing. Michael and his staff were top notch. Would highly recommend to anybody.

No complaints at all. The weather helped by being lovely. The cabin was cozy and warm, well-equipped for our comfort with a fabulous water and mountain view. Wish we could have stayed another night.

The Hotel was fabulous, worth every penny. We went for my husbands birthday and were thrilled with the accommodations.The bed was comfy, the view wasn't wonderful, the place was spotless. It was rustic and classy at the same time. The town is quite small with only a market and a couple of restaurants available. No shopping or other entertainment that I could see besides the very small but nice gift shop at the hotel. There was no phone service but the hotel did have open wi-fi available. We were able to have our dog for an extra fee. The road to the town was only about 2-2:30 hrs from the Sydney ferry dock but be prepared for a very twisty, slow road. We would recommend this to a friend.
