Lovely local hotel with view of Huaraz. Goose feather comforters made it hard to get out of bed but the hot shower was amazing! The service is what made all the difference, such attentive and caring staff.

We loved our stay with Santa Cruz. It was like staying with good friends. Willie, Flo, Judy, David and others were very friendly, helpful, and professional. From organizing a tour, to answering quick texts about appropriate Taxi fares, arranging laundry, and accommodating our vegetarian diet, everything was perfect. Tasty breakfasts cooked just right, super clean rooms, and just wonderful staff!

The staff are extremely friendly and went above and beyond to cater to my needs. The property is charming with great views. The room was nice and clean with great beds and modern, well-functioning bathroom fixtures.

Nice view. Very clean. However it was a bit far from the plaza. Although, David and Tiana were very helpful if you ever book a room there ask for them.
2.5
The staff was friendly and beyond helpful in every way. They helped arrange transfers to our hike 4 hours away, and any other place we needed to go. We would definitely stay again if we return.

Good hotel with nice breakfast included. Very up to date bathroom / shower with great water pressure and hot water. Mattresses could use an upgrade.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Santa Cruz. The staff were great; our room was large and very comfortable, with incredible views of the mountains; and the daily breakfast was excellent.

Room was very nice, super clean, they are also friendly and will help you with any taxi you need or info about the place.

The staff were great. Very helpful with local attractions.

Helpful, nice views, good breakfast

Has a nice view of the Huascaran provided you get the rooms facing the courtyard. Location not an issue for travellers with their own car. Breakfast ok. Amenities, fittings need an urgent revamp. Even something as basic as the room door lock needs maintenance.

My buddy and I were in Huaraz to climb and used the hotel to base out of . We were in and out 3 times over about 12 days and the staff were always happy to see us and greeted us with smiles. The rooms are fine and the beds are ok. Bathrooms are fine and there was plenty of hot water to wash off the trail dust. It up the hill from the main part of town so a bit more quite and the views of the high Cordillera are great!

All around 5 stars - impeccable service with incredibly friendly staff. Awesome breakfast with great view of Huascaran mountain. Rooms are clean and spacious.

Quiet, small & clean hotel , located not too far from the main square. Beatiful views from the rooms w/ balcony. Sweet little garden and cosy fireplace in the main lobby. Good value @ a reasonable price!

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Friendly staff, good rooms, and quiet. Safe parking.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk into the center of town. It is good that the hotel is a bit outside of the center, so you don't need to hear the permanent honking.

Our four day stay at Hotel Santa Cruz was most pleasant and enjoyable. Arriving very early by bus from Lima we were given an early check-in and invited to have tea to assist with the symptoms of the higher altitude of Huaraz. The room was very clean, hot water was available, the bed slightly firm but acceptable, with a large comforter to keep warm with the cooler nights. The hotel was safe and secure with views of the beautiful snow-capped mountains surrounding the city. One could easily walk downhill to the center of town...and back as well if desired. (Regardless a taxi ride back was only 4-5 Soles.) The free WiFi was very good, the included quality full breakfast varied from day to day, accompanied by great coffee (or your choice of teas). The restaurant also offered other menu choices throughout the day. But best of all were the staff....always friendly and pleasant, accommodating ALL our requests for service and information. Our stay at Hotel Santa Cruz was excellent.

Good breakfast and comfortable bed. A bit away from the centre of Huaraz. Some barking dogs in the night, but otherwise a comfortable stay.

Good location within walking distance to the Plaza de Armas. Stored our luggage while we were out on our trek. Very friendly staff and comfortable accommodations!

Friendly staff, however the hotel is dated and our room needed repair work (toilet was not properly secured to the floor). We stayed two nights and problem wasn’t fixed during this time. The city center is 15-20 min by foot so not the most central location although quiet.

I choose this hotel over others because it is a small hotel (15 rooms) which I prefer. I had a great view - city + mountains and small balcony. Room is simple, doors a little old so you can here others in a hall. The bathroom is brand new (best in Peru that I had). Staff is really nice and kind especially housekeeping lady that cooked breakfast as well. Nothing was problem - early checkin, leaving luggage, spending time after checkout to wait for bus...). Very nice breakfast. I had an avocado salat for dinner which was delicious! Price is maybe a little higher for Huaraz but you don’t pay any extra services that I needed and hot shower and nice bathroom was worth it!

Willy and the hotel staff are great folks. The included breakfast is delicious, and I really enjoyed eating in the dining room, which looks out at the mountains. Only a couple of minor complaints: the Wi-Fi. worked fine downstairs, but was really spotty in my room; also, there was a shower curtain rod in the shower, but no shower curtain, which was odd.Overall, a decent stay for a decent price.

The room was very disappointing. Despite the good reviews seen here, the room was not only humble as we imagined, but old and dirty.
There were decks missing in the bed, so the mattress sank every time we made a movement.
The bathroom was terrible with tiles missing, loose toilet, hairs all over the walls and a horrible dirty silicone rug inside the shower area. It was very uncomfortable and disgusting to take a shower.
We changed hotels shortly after that.

A very good experience and we were especially happy with the great staff, especially Willy, the hotel manager. We had excellent / prompt e-mail communication with the hotel. Although the hotel is a bit of a walk from the plaza, the spectacular views of the mountains from the hotel more than made up for this. The hotel staff were very useful at arranging a few tours for us with Atusparia tours. We highly recommend this tour company,

Hotel Santa Cruz is about a 5-10 minute walk from the city center. Taxis are also abundant for about $1.5. The location is very quite compared to the hotels in the city center. The main asset of the hotel is Willy who went out of his way at all hours and personally escorted us to assist in booking our treks and helped make our stay and sightseeing in the area a unique and succesful experience

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hot water all day. Great breakfast.

Willy on the front desk was great and very helpful - we booked all our days out with him. Great breakfast which changes daily and the room has a lovely view of the mountains. Day tours wouldnt drop us back to the hotel as its just outside of the Main Street but a taxi is only s/. 3 ($1aud) so it doesnt really matter.
