Cute place to stay in Mykonos. Close to everything. Comfortable

The location of the hotel is perfect. However, like others have pointed out, communicating with the owner is not as smooth, as we have to rely on him picking up the phone call.
The room didn’t have any body wash or shampoo. We also couldn’t find any WiFi information. Tried calling the owner, but no luck.

Our stay here was so wonderful! Check in was easy and our room was brand new with beautiful views. We were in the most perfect location right in the center of town. The accommodations were great and the hotel set up all transportation for us! I can’t wait until we can come back!

I am an author but I simply don’t have the words to describe this awesome place. My God it is amazing and for that price. Everything is perfect . The manager is wonderful. She even gave me cake and water. The facilities are amazing location perfect. Definitely recommend the wonderful hotel. I stayed in hotels for the past 2 months continuously but was compelled to write a review for just this special place.

Considering lodging prices in this area I guess is not to bad, however the place is very basic, the bathroom extremely small, not even a welcome water bottle and no reception, all by phone (make sure you have roaming otherwise no way to contact them). Very well located, walking distance from all downtown places.

The pension is very well located in Mykonos. In the city center, near everything but very quiet :)
The bedroom itself is correct. Beds are comfortable, but the bathroom is very tiny and not very usefull (the hairdryer was not working, the shower is very small and water is going everywhere in the bathroom).
But in general it's a good place to stay !

The location is unbeatable! Right in the heart of Mykonos town. That being said, it is a little tricky to locate the apartments and it is not accessible by car. If you are traveling with lots of luggage (like I was) it is hard to take it up the steep narrow stairway to the rooms on the top floor. This “hotel” is a glorified AirBnB at best. No reception, no amenities and staff offsite- just 5 individual rooms in a building. Make sure to call before you arrive so you know what room you’re staying in. They leave the door unlocked and keys in the room for you. We did not have any staff member meet us to give keys and “check out” works the same way. I had no issues with this but didn’t realize it when booking and it was an unwelcome surprise. They have nowhere to store suitcases and they will say the travel agencies in town have space. I visited 3 different travel agencies near the Alana Pension, only to be told that none held suitcases. Only one place on Mykonos (by the port) will store them for you. This was the only real issue for our stay because we had 7 hours between check out and our flight. Most hotels will store luggage so this was a real bummer for us and headache to find a place. Overall, the rooms were lovely- small but quaint! It looked like something out of a movie! A truly authentic Greek experience. It was very clean too and we felt safe staying there for our first time in Mykonos. It’s a good deal for Mykonos and you are literally paying for the bare minimum.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alana Pension! Great value for money and great location - just stone throw away from the windmills and the bustling laneways of town. Our room was clean and had all the essentials. If you’re looking for a budget accommodation this is the place. Our room was on the third floor with 2 steep narrow sets of stairs to climb so keep this in mind when booking.

This hotel is in an amazing location. You are steps away from the windmills as well as food and shops. Being in Mykonos town is where you want to be and this is exactly in that location. It is about a ten minute walk to the bus station that can take you anywhere on the island. Or you can rent an atv which it is close to as well. The room is very basic but considering the prices of other places in Mykonos I would highly recommend this hotel.

The accommodation was in an excellent location within the main town centre. Very close to a beach and the windmills etc. The room itself was ok. The bed was a bit hard. We had some trouble with the drainage in the bathroom but this was fixed the next day. Check in was confusing as you had to ring a number when you got there to get your room number. There is no one on site. Luckily our phones had roaming, if they didnt I dont know what we would have done. Overall good location, but feel like the room and setup could be better for the price.

In the heart of town, walking distance to everything with a spectacular view. The bed was uncomfortable, the safe didn’t work, and there was a dead bug in the closet the first day.

No one was there to give us the key of information, even if we wrote our arrival time in the information box!! I had to find a greek to call the hotel for me... very Frustrating!! Secondly, your can ear every single noise from the room, like the wall or made of paper....

Exceptional location in the heart of old Mykonos. Clean, excellent room. Only small issue is that it may be difficult for some people to find within the sprawling small passageways of the old city. A very specific map with landmarks should be provided to assist travelers locate it quickly.

The accommodation was good in terms of value for money, position and cleanliness.. Bathrooms in old cities are always a bit of a problem but otherwise we were happy with the Alana.

We were in an upstairs apartment = lots of stairs. The room was clean with nice bed, desk, cupboard, and bathroom. Room had a kettle, fridge and safe. The bathroom was small, but stocked with everything you would need, the only real complaint was the shower, the shower was only hand-held, no overhead shower head; and the shower curtain wasnt big enough, so water got everywhere. Great location, walking distance to everything in Mykonos town, and easy bus access for the rest of the island. Set back from the street, so the late night noise didnt disturb our sleep. I would definitely recommend Alana Pension.

It's a bit hard to find without GPS, and no one on site to help tell you things, but it was a fantastic location and a nice porch with chairs.
Bed was fine, water pressure was not, only 4 little rooms but the walls were thin. For the price, we got what we expected but it would have been nice to have someone to help us or give information. The mother hotel is an hour walk away...

Alana is a perfect hotel for the price and area. Absolutely spectacular spot. The owner is the sweetest person. We were contacted before our stay to go over some stuff, which is really thoughtful. They were easy to contact via email. They responded very quickly. They helped arranged transportation at a good cost. They even printed out our boarding passes for us. This hotel felt like a B&B. I will definitely be back!

The pension is run by another 4 star hotel, so there is no reception. You have to communicate with them via your own mobile in case you have issues and it might take some time for it to be solved if you are in a hurry. What is more the main room light was not working and there was someone's food left in the fridge from previous stay...We saw a cockroach too...

Pros:Location--smack in the middle of town, close to everything, ask for Trio Bambini if you got lost on the way Staff--only met the cleaning lady, spoke to others on the phone, all were helpful and kind, and concerned by our comfort Room--not too big, not too small, just right, we had the one with the balcony, which was a plusCons:Bathrooms--tiny, need maintenance, and somewhere to attach the shower head to when taking a bath No front desk--only needed them for directions and check in. Keep in mind you should call them in advance for check in, and when you do, theyre super polite and helpful Regarding price, not sure if its a negative or a positive. Its pricy given what you get, but in comparison to other rates in Mykonos, its not that bad

The hotel not easy to find it, finally find it there no office even has problem couldn't find one to take response. especial is when check in need to call, very inconvenient. Room in third floor old stairs very dangerous to take luggage without elevator.Too bad service! Pay WiFi rate for stay but no WiFi.

There is no hotel staff there for check in, and no office you can find. The only contact is hotel telephone number on my reservation. We came from USA, and my cell phone is not sign up with international roaming and have no cell phone signal. We have to bother the bar attendant in front of the hotel to call owner and found out our room. The owner leave the room door open and key inside the room. Our 1st floor room is clean, but window only has semi-clear window curtains, and street people can see inside room if you turn on light at night. The shower don't has curtain too, and you will spill water all over the bath room floor if you take shower. The hotel is lack of care by real person, and you have no one can contact if you need something or some help from hotel staff. I am not come back this hotel again.
