Not worth the money. Sterile white room. One lamp I had to plug in. Not one picture on the wall. People next door to us were up all night doing drugs. We could hear them through the thin walls. People coming and going in the parking lot all night. A bad experience and this hotel was more expensive than others nearby. An 8 rating? You must be kidding.

Great place for having an affair

Great and Wonderful.
A Very Special Place.

Definitely not what I was hoping from the high average reviews. Essentially a Motel 6.
Towels were ancient, felt like sandpaper. Lobby filled with stuff from manager's family?
Not terrible, but disappointing.

We booked on Expedia and paid $150 for a night and expected a lot more. It was more like a Motel 6. Thin/stained towels and holes in the blanket. But, no bedbugs and after looking around with a UV light, decided to stay. If it was $60-100/night, then probably about right. Bathroom had been recently redone.

Staff is nice and accommodating, but I found another person's hair on the towels that they provided. Definitely bring your own towels. Also, the AC in room 205 makes a very disturbing sound, which made it black but difficult to sleep.
Overall, a decent stay and experience.

It was very quiet, nothing fancy, but nice. Owners are very nice. But honestly. I'd bring my own bath towels for comfort.

I truly enjoyed my overnight stay at Pasadena Lodge. The room was clean and comfy. Good and friendly service at the front desk. I felt very safe as a solo traveler and will definitely consider this location if I am ever in the area again!

Deepa was very gracious. Room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

No problems, Quiet, A/C worked well parking convenient, staff friendly

On the low end of low budget hotels. Check-in was at the night window, no open lobby. The room and bathrom were clean. The towels were rough and at least one could benefit from another serious washing. There was a fridge and a microwave, but no coffee maker. The nearby Colorado boulevard is noisy all night long and one hears it quite well

The hotel was ok, but the only thing in the room was the bed and two bar stools. No desk. I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel that didn't have a desk or table. I had some work to do and it was not optimal not having a desk. There was no breakfast, not even coffee. The front lobby is locked at all times. It seemed like this hotel is used to catering to "long-term" residents rather than travelers. The staff was friendly enough, and the room was clean, though a second trash bin would have been helpful. I doubt I'll be back in Pasadena any time soon, but if I do return, I don't think I'll stay here. It was too expensive and didn't meet my needs as I had hoped.

I had tempered expectations for this motel given the price point, but I was still incredibly disappointed in our stay. Upon entering the room, the air was stale and smelled foul, somewhat sulfuric like a restroom and cigarettes. Because I could not open the windows, I turned the air conditioning and fan on in the hopes that it might make the room more bearable. The door and adjacent wall were dirty, the comforter on the bed looked very old (not any of the newer ones pictured in management’s photos), and even the sheets were stained. I didn’t bother taking photos, because I checked in quite late for only a one night stay and I wouldn’t normally write a bad review for a hotel based on these previously mentioned factors. The reason I decided to write is because our room had BED BUGS.
The day after checking out of this motel I noticed multiple bed bug bites on my body (anyone who has had the misfortune of dealing with bed bugs knows that they can take hours or days to appear). These are definitely bites from bed bugs, not other insects, and we did not stay anywhere else where they may have come from. When I called to notify the motel and suggest that they treat the room, I was simply informed that “no one else has complained.” I did not receive any apology or compensation, and though I am not optimistic based on the response I received, I sincerely hope that they will take measures to inspect and treat the room so that other guests do not have the same experience.

Staff was very nice , the brightness outside made it hard to sleep. And the birds chirping this has nothing to do with the hotel itself just making that suggestion. Bed was a little uncomfortable but that’s because I missed my bed . Room was nice and clean. Shower pressure was a little low. But if I needed a last minute place to stay I would come back

I really liked how hospitable the owner was. His son was a tad stand off"ish" but nevertheless, the room was very clean, the bed was very comfy and the area was rather quiet; although the East side has always been. Outside of the ambulance a few times and couple speaking with volume, it was peaceful.
I am a Pasadena native, and I must say, the motel's have improved from how they used to be.
The Pasadena Lodge is very close to convenience stores on either side, there are places to dine, get gas and the guitar center is not far.

Nice hotel and spacious rooms that are clean. Very comfortable and would stay again

Clean, quiet place run by a lovely family. The best bargain in Pasadena, by far.

Absolute minimum amenities. Cheapest soap, cheapest shampoo, cheapest while “gymn towels”. You pay little, you get little. I did not feel safe here.

I feel like I'm in a hotel used by prostitutes. Very disorganized room, I had to connect the television so it would work. I do not recommend this place at all!

I wanted to give a 4 star rating. Although the bed and bath were comfortable, there was only two thin pillows for a king bed. I asked for additional 2 but they weren’t delivered as promised. Also only two small bath towels and 1 washcloth. No hand towel or additional washcloth. No coffee as most provide. The remodeled bath shower had no shelf or place to put soap and shampoo. Also there were no end table or dresser lamps only the glaring ceiling cans.

Hotel is well located for services and activities north of LA. Traffic was difficult for LA itself and LAX. It also had some road noise but there was little noise from the other rooms.

Check-in/check-out is quick and easy. Staff is very friendly.
Room is clean. Parking is very easy.
It is also very easy to access freeway, or drive locally to city center.
Target/Small & Final nearby, multiple dining options.

We had originally booked a hotel downtown LA and were here for the parade. The Pasadena Lodge was clean and recently remodeled with LVP the furniture was a little dated but extremely clean and in good condition. The mattress was comfortable. This will be our go to for the parade
