The property is nice but be aware this place is an hour away from the city. If you’re looking for a retreat, this is a good place. The singing of the birds will wake you up in the morning.

The stay here was terrible.
Half of the hotel utilities did not work. Nohot water, bearly running water, no wifi, no availability to pay with card.
Far away from anything to do.
Do not recomend comming here

Pros: It’s a beautiful property, the room, porch, and view we’re lovely. Cons and things to note-The beach is hard to get to, and is not swimmable, the pool is 6 feet deep end to end with only a metal ladder for access - definitely not kid or elderly friendly. The food was good but inconsistent - the same dish was ordered by two people at our table and the proportions were drastically different. The service is seriously lacking. It started at check-in. I had originally booked three nights in a chalet, when we decided to stay a fourth night there was only one room available on this site so I booked it. Upon arrival I was told that I would be charged for the upgrade to a chalet for the 4th night. I hadn’t even asked yet! Really guys? The price difference was negligible And wasn’t the issue, but more about guest experience - Welcome, we’re charging you extra for something you haven’t even asked for. The next thing I was told is that there was no bartender working that day, so beer was the only possible choice. We had just traveled five hours from El Nido to get there, this was certainly not the greeting or level of service (especially in the restaurant) we were expecting from a four-star hotel.

The property was so unique and beautiful. Service lacked professionalism and experience but they made up for that with their kindness. Would definitely stay again.

Location surrounded by so much green and balcony view was amazing

Great staff, location and overall amenities.
Management could work a little on menu variety, but otherwise, my family and I had an amazing stay with our 2 year old.

The beach was down a very difficult footpath ,it wasn't safe at all . I wouldn't recommend going down there, even though the beach was lovely and the views were wonderful There was a sound every morning at 6 that woke me up and I wasn't happy about that. There wasn't much choice in the break fast and the phone signal was none at all

Great basic hotel in the middle of the jungle well situated for the underground river. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. The hotel staff are helpful but a little disorganised in the restaurant.

The hotel is located about 20 min ride from Sabang. It is located in the middle of the jungle with an awesome ocean view from the hill. It is a very beautiful and comfortable place to stay surrounded by nature.
Due to the location however, only transporation available to visit Saban was their private car, which costed us 700P one way with an old pickup truck.
We found the place was a bit too expensive due to the lack of hot water.
Food was overall good. Overall we had a great time there.

Amazing concept , really enjoyed the stay here ... all the staff are delightful especially Roman, the very charismatic and helpful manager of the hotel .
My only recommendation would be offering a shuttle for guests every morning to Sabang otherwise if you stay a long time you can feel quite disconnected as the local area doesn’t have much .... therefore maybe having a free shuttle for all guests at 9am , then returning at 3pm or something like that would be good ! Ofcourse you can pay but for the private transfer but something like this would encourage guests to stay longer at the hotel as it would feel like there’s more to do.

Amazing architecture, spring fed pool was very nice (cool), food was great, staff was helpful with planning day trips, rooms were clean, jungle environment was everything we wanted to experience in The Philippians. Amazing experience and I will return to this hotel if I'm ever in the Philippians again.

If you're a nature-lover, this is the place for you. It's beautifully designed, clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quite good and the pool is nice too. Our family loved being able to explore the jungle, beach, and hidden gems around the property. It's a great place to unplug and unwind!

We found an absolute gem in the philippinian jungle! An hour away from the crowds and the bustle of Puerto Princesa this stay in a true jungle retreat was an awesome experience. Thanks a lot to Roman the manager, who organized excellent activities which made it possible for us to see a lot of the great nature of this island. The food was amazing, especially the chicken curry. We all loved the mango shakes. All staff was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place. Our advice is to take cash with you as there is no efpos facility.

It was amazing staying at this hotel. Jungle lovers would definitely enjoy staying here. The only noise that you can here is coming from birds.

Wonderful Hotel immersed in the Jungle.
A must if you are looking for treat away from networks and stress !
No AC or hot water but who needs that in the jungle !
Wonderfully furnished rooms/suites, friendly and helpful personnel and nice local food in the restaurant.
One of our favourite on Palawan.

For an eco resort, the Atremaru is a grand, solidly built resort on a magnificent steep site overlooking the bay and forest. Surprising, then, to find ourselves amid construction noise and busyness upon arrival. Perhaps they were not expecting actual guests as there was some confusion as to who to speak to about what. In the evening the workers began videoke, which they graciously allowed our group to join.
In some ways the resort was not best suited to small children as the pool is 6ft deep and chilly, and the lodging floors made of stone. Yet the chef cooks very well and produced superb chicken nuggets to keep them happy at dinner.
The real treat here was waking amid the forest, exotic birdsong and island views.

Staying at this retreat was one of the best things I did. While staying at this retreat I was able to experience things that I probably wouldn't be exposed to. They didn't have a tv there but that just means I had to venture out more which was a good thing. All in all I would definitely go back here.

This remote resort was a joy to find. We found it to be best and cheaper to do all excursions with the resort. They provided convenience favorable quality in transport to the local attractions. This very clean and culturally enhanced facility was a breath of fresh air. We also were able to take a 25 minute hike to a nearby beach. I can not say enough about the friendly and very helpful staff. The Filipino Breakfast was perfect. I will make more stops at this resort in the future.
