Great location and price and comfortable rooms. Loved it!

Great spot.

Great hotel (motel) for the value! I rarely stay at motels but this one was nice with its retro style and charm. I would have given all 5 stars but the bed was not the most comfortable (seemed like an older, cheap, broken down mattress), and it could have been a little cleaner (dingey on the baseboards, carpet felt “sticky,” and there was some debris particles on the benches at the foot of the beds). But really, it was t horrible and I felt it was clean enough to sleep there. Also, the noise level in front of the room was a bit as that’s where all the parking is and people locking there cars with the horn or beeping woke me up frequently. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

Comfortable beds, nice sized room with convenient options, great shower, clean and quiet, delicious coffee shop on the lot, handy location

This is my 2nd stay at the Sapphire Motel. The decor takes me back to my grandparents house in the 1970s. The staff are kind and helpful and there's a small kitchenette for tea, coffee and cider. The rooms have a similar mid-century feel, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are large and food trucks are conveniently across the street.
The only thing that's missing is a small breakfast bar with cinnamon toast and fruit. That being said, one would be missing out if they didn't do their breakfast down the block at The Farmers Daughter cafe.

The Sapphire motel is a cute little throw back motel. The decor takes me back to my childhood. It is designed andbdecorated to transport you to the 1960's with retro decor butnwith modern touches. I was surprised but in a very pleasant way. GREAT STAY!

I really liked the Sapphire! Decorated in a 60-70’s style with designated parking right in front of the room.

We needed one night having extended our stay in Bozeman on a whim. So glad we found this place! The midcentury decor is the star at this revamped motel and the thoughtful touches really make the stay special. There are signs in the room explaining the history of the property, and there is evident pride of ownership in this family-run business. Walkable to the main street with shops and restaurants, though we just ordered a pizza and stayed in. Amazing value for money, and the cleanliness is impeccable. I wish I could clone this place for cities I visit more often!

This 1950’s retro hotel is a great place to stay. It’s very close to the hustle and bustle of downtown Bozeman.

It is a good hotel! Don't let the word MOTEL fools you.
Had a great stay with family.
Clean, convenient, car is parked right in front to load and unload my luggage.
The front desk Donna was wonderful, friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel with a great location, just blocks from downtown Bozeman. My room had access to a courtyard with Adirondack chairs & a picturesque outdoor seating area. The price was reasonable, convenient parking & free wifi. I would stay here again.

Really cute retro motel across the street from a cool food truck spot with several good options. Everything was comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!

My only complaint was that housekeeping did not leave any toilet tissue. There was not any at all. Thankfully I was able to call and ask, and they brought me a single roll.
We had a couple of issues with our shower leaking. I would highly recommend staying there and would probably stay again. I personally thought the weekend rates were expensive.

A great cheap place with good amenities. Not the most comfortable bed, but everything else was fantastic.
Highly recommend for a clean and cheap motel.

The Sapphire Motel is such a cool motel. You can tell they have put a lot of effort into keeping up with the theme of the place with the decorations both in the rooms and around the property. Everything was in good condition and I loved the small touches like the fancy glasses in the rooms. It is an older building, so you will hear your neighbors next door, but that's what you get with a motel. There was some city construction happening the one day and when I asked the desk about it, the staff were so helpful in figuring out what was going on and offering solutions to help me out because I was working from my room and the construction noise was really loud. I really appreciated how helpful they all were! Overall, my stay was great and I would definitely stay here again!

This is an absolutely delightful motel right out of the mid 1900s. The bed was super comfortable, shower great and the folks were nice. And all at a really great price. I’ve already recommended it to family members.

The 50’s retro looking hotel is perfect! It’s quiet, very close to downtown Bozeman. The rooms are spacious and quiet, and is a throwback to the old single story hotels from the 50’s. They even have a B&W TV in the lobby, and the Lone Ranger was on.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, coffee in the lobby and attentive staff.

Liked the retro style, friendly staff, good location, clean and well appointed room, well maintained and comfortable outdoor spaces.

Clean and comfortable, with cute and interesting mid-century decor. Convenient location. Our only complaint was that our room was not ready when we arrived. I did realize check-in time was at 3 PM, but we only arrived 15 minutes early, after a long day of traveling, and were told the room wasn't ready and we had to come back in 20 minutes. The hotel did not seem full and I thought perhaps we could have been given another room that was ready.

Exceeded expectations in every way. We were in Bozeman for my daughter’s wedding, and had a few specific requests while staying at the hotel for several days. Each was met yo perfection with a smile and on time.
Lively place.

We had a lovely stay at The Sapphire! As others have noted, it is a renovated motel that embraces the retro vibe, but has a modern feel. The people who work there are lovely and helpful. The rooms are super spacious and quite comfortable. Parking is easy, and the place is well located for folks who don't mind a little bit of walking (or just driving). The food truck park across the street is great! To be clear before we get to the rest of the review: we'd absolutely stay here again. I'd just plan around the minor issues I list below next time!
The only reasons I haven't given The Sapphire 5 stars are:
1. Poor noise insulation. I was stoked to book a single-story motel, because my largest hotel annoyance is people above me making a ton of noise. So I was dismayed that our neighbors walking around in their room sounded like I was staying next to a reasonably-sized herd of elephants. It shook our room and woke us both well before our 7:30 a.m. alarm went off both nights we stayed there :(
2. Not amazing wifi. I know: vacation. But we are able to get away in part because of remote work. I was unable to successfully hold a zoom meeting. Knowing what I know now, next time, I'll work in a coffee shop.
3. Drainage. Both the sinks and the shower had poor drainage. Again: no big deal. We came here after camping and wanted to wash some of our cookware; next time I just won't plan to do that!
But we really did have a lovely stay, and absolutely would return.
