Great access to beach and pools

Once our room was charged we were happy!

Loved that we could walk down the beach to the waves hotel and hit their hot tub. Only drawback is parking is far and few

The pool was great! Warm and perfect given the colder and cloudy weather we experienced. Our daughter LOVED it. Beyond the pool, the stay was just okay. The towels we received were dirty and smelled musky. The bed sheets (I noticed day 2) were dirty at the bottom corner. I requested new bed sheets and was given one scratchy blanket. I had to call a second time to get a full set. When I called for additional towels, I received a bag full but they were stinky and some had visible dirty markings. I had to call again for clean ones. There is no room service which is a huge disappoinment. The building itself is aging and doesn't appear to get the upkeep it needs and deserves to keep it flourishing. deck boards are loose and the floors are drooped and have soft spots. Structurally its a little scary. There were zero room decorations and no beach decor, extremely disappointing. Lacked a personal feel. Very dated overall and still super expensive. I was disappointed to learn it is part of the Lafayette profile and that they are buying up all the OOB properties. Would much prefer a mom and pop feel and to stay where the owner takes pride in their place and their customer's experience.

Very old and dated rusty.

Property is very outdated for the studio rooms, plumbing sucks. Pool was fine, easy access to the beach and attractions. Furniture can be updated.

The room itself was ok but the location was awful.... basement room behind the laundry area. It was like being in a cave.. not worth 572.00 a night . Parking was a bit of a walk.
4.0
The room is extremely expensive and basically you’re paying for the location. The building that we stayed in was pretty rundown. Our room was spacious and clean, but again older. I believe this property has three buildings. We stayed in Seaview. Super convenient to walking to the beach just steps away We also had an ocean view room, which was nice, but we really weren’t up high enough to see much

Loved being able to share other property pools and parking option for second vehicle

We enjoyed our stay at Seaview! The positives: It had everything we needed (could've used a regular coffee maker over a keurig) since there were 3 coffee drinkers but it was fine. Everyone was friendly, staff was always onsite for anything we needed. The hotel was very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go and it was clean and comfortable. The negatives: We did not appreciate having to pay to park our 2nd vehicle even though the overflow (free) lot was mostly empty at all times. Also, no one warned us of the 11:30PM, 2:30AM and 5:30AM train that comes by and lays on the horn! That was a surprise to wake up too. Lastly, the market on the corner did NOT have much and we did have to walk to the dollar stores to get the food/snacks we wanted. We did enjoy our stay though and will most likely return.

Great place right in the beach. 2nd year in a row here.

Great sea side inn

The stay was good. But it was not what I requested. I reserved for handicap with walker and 5 people. When we arrived we were on the second floor and only roon for 4 people to sleep.

We enjoyed our stay close to beach and shopping
Our room had a kitchenette which was very nice
We could walk to everything which meant no driving
Very enjoyable

This was our third year staying here. Good rooms and beds. Little outdated bathrooms but clean. Great staff. Easy parking. Right on beach. Pool is mostly great. Was cold first few days then warmed up. Talk to staff and they said it was cold outside. But pool is heated or was heated. Would stay again.

Property was great. Staff were very present and working hard to keep everything clean and tidy. They did a great job keeping up with the cleanliness of the pool.
Our room was an ocean view room with a kitchenette which was stocked well. It had enough pots and pans and various utensils to be able to make a great breakfast and smaller meals. They also had a keurig coffee maker and a toaster and microwave along with a dorm style fridge that had a small freezer slot in it. There are also three grills out in the pool area that you can use. ( they did have a can opener also)
Being able to use the various pools on the sister properties was a win also. The pool at our place was heated and was great but if you wanted something a tad cooler you have access to the one literally next door.
The walkway to the beach was nice. Being in between the two properties it almost was like having your own private area as due to the fact most people that are visiting for the day will generally park in one of the public lots way down by the pier and tend to not venture too far down the coastline to where we were.
It was a very short walk to the pier and rides…and I’m walking with three kids aged 9,6, and three. Now the great part about being close to the pier but not right in the action is you won’t have to worry about the noise from the rides and the various places that have bands playing late.
All in all it was a great place for my family of five to stay and enjoy our time together

I have several problems with The Sea View Inn and suggest you seek alternate accommodations for your stay in Old Orchard Beach. I booked a room at The Sea View Inn in OOB via Hotel .com. The advertisement for The Sea View Inn does not inform you that the hotel lobby and check-in are at another property, The Waves Resort. The Waves is the main property, and they control services for The Sea View Inn, The Ocean House, and the Gull. I was only informed of this the day before my check-in when I got an e-mail telling me where check-in was. I concede that this may be a hotel .com issue, but I have not gone to The Sea View Inn website to make sure. We got to the property early. Our room was not ready, so they took my number and said they’d call when ready. They never called. After the 3 pm check-in time, we finally went back and picked up our keys. Actual keys, not magnetic key cards. This hotel has not been updated or renovated in a ridiculously long time. The hotel room is very old and worn and needs to be renovated. There are soft spots on the floors. I was sure I was going to fall through the floor. The bathroom is straight out of the 50s with a blue tub and blue sink and ZERO water pressure. The drop tile ceiling is super classy as well. There was also a sign letting us know that to keep us and their staff healthy, they would not be cleaning the rooms daily. But don’t worry, they provided a broom and dustpan so that we could clean our own room. The sign also asked us to take o

Had to leave early, beds sucked didn’t sleep, wouldn’t refund me my last day as I left early… had mice get into my car and built a nest in my dashboard. Pots and pans they supplied were rusted and all messed up. Took the mini fridge 24hours to cool something down.

Thank you for a great stay

Very close walk to carnival, arcade, & dining options. Only steps away from beach. Great for families with kids.

The hotel was close to everything so walking was easy. staff and security were friendly and helpful, I definitely recommend it to friends.

Suite 1 is tired and in need of updating. The fold out couch was partly broken, the mattress itself is really thin and old. We had to sleep with or heads where the feet go...since it's broken. Thin mattress wasn't t pleasant looking. Blinds in kitchen broken on one door. Very small living room. Hard to seat more than 3 people comfortably. Toilet handle needs adjusting. Felt like we were in a dark cave instead of being at the sunny ocean in the suite. Location good...can walk out to ocean within having to drive. Same with pier and a great restaurant, Josephs by the Sea (2 buildings down the street).

Our group had 4 rooms and our stay was great.

The young man at check in was not informative, luckily ive stayed a few times with The Waves & knew a little of the area they serve. Room was clean & comfortable. I asked when boking online not to have the 3rd floor & they put us on 3rd floor. For 1 night it was fine.
We cut our trip short (a week ahead of time) due to expected hurricane and The Waves as the company ownkng Seaview were SO great!. No extra charge!
For all the positives, we'd stay at Seaview again.
We did not use the pool as weather was cold, But it was very clean.
Check out was quick & easy.

Great location close to the beach

Had a relaxing stay with my family. Our pool was heated, which the kids really enjoyed.
3.0
Our stay was fine. The Seaview Inn (Old Orchard Beach ME) website was misleading. Only one car per room. We stayed 4 days equaling $80.

We liked the short distance to beach. Grills for use. Pool was good sized. Rooms were clean. Kitchenette was outdated and the island was not located conveniently for meal prep. No hooks to hang stuff in bathroom. We would stay here again. I would bring my own hooks next time.
2.0
The bed was angled down towards the head of the bed. Large stains of rug. Smelled wet.

Confirm your room location with the property when booking through a 3rd party! Room was in 3rd floor and outside stairs only . Room extremely dated and small!! Kitchenette most likely from the 70’s so didn’t dare use the burner!! That said, room was clean and extra towels provided upon request

We booked a suite which was perfect for our family of 5. We have 3 children ages 8,11 and 13. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything just smelled bleach clean!!! Each bedroom had an air conditioner which is a must for us because no one can sleep when it’s hot! The water pressure in the shower was awesome. The pool and pool area was always kept clean. Staff was always present around the hotel area. The hotel location was absolutely perfect! The beach entrance was right there then a quick 5 minute walk down the street you have everything you need!! We will definitely be returning!

Great location, close to the beach and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Nice pool and outdoor grills. Could use a little TLC and updates in the bedroom & bathrooms.

This hotel is older and needs updating. Check in experience was below par and we were given a room that was very old and and underwhelming in an alley and under a porch. Management should be ashamed to assign this room for a nightly price of what we paid. We ended up going back to desk and getting room changed.

My bed makes a lot of noise every time I move and my bedroom door makes a lot of noise every time I open it and my baby wakes up from the noise. a beautiful place because the beach is in front but very noisy the train the motorcycles too much

I liked the peaceful, quiet atmospere and being on the ocean. Our key wasn't working in the door. The staff was very attentive to this matter and put a new door knob on. The weather was perfect, beautiful foliage. Overall, a beautiful weekend!!
