Delicious breakfast, wonderful hosts, & a beautiful location

We spent 2 nights here and it was wonderful! We stayed for our daughter’s college graduation from WSU, and the house is directly across the street from campus so it was very convenient! The room was very clean and comfortable and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Extremely comfortable sheets and bedding as well. Breakfast was delicious both mornings! The owners were very friendly and the main house is very quaint! We definitely plan to stay again! Winona is a wonderful town!

Convenient to WSU. Quiet despite being in and among student housing. Jan and Grace are friendly and excellent hosts. Breakfast was outstanding and we enjoyed the social interaction with other guests. The room was just large enough for our 2- night stay with the use of the 4 season porch. We walked to dinner both evenings, 15 min each way along mostly residential blocks until arriving "downtown". The bed was comfortable although we don't like the slippery microfiber sheets, that is a preference, others may like them.

Lovely hosts and an absolutely beautiful historic property. Quiet, clean, and comfortable in a great location.
4.8
Quaint and 15 minutes to walk to downtown shops and dining. Good side walks all the way to downtown.
Gourmet breakfast served right at 9:00 a.m. so don't be late.
Plenty of spaces with flowers and seating to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee from the Keurig you make in foyer.
Green door is the entrance for lodging behind the main house. And, in the morning you dine in the main house.

I absolutely loved the Carriage House! I stayed in the Toy Room - perfectly quaint! I was concerned that I would get cold at night because I did not see a thermostat or a way to control the heat but I was very comfortable during the night. I will stay here again.

The owner and her family were very graciuos and engaging hosts!
Plus it is accrss the street from campus and walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops - so convenient!

It was a wonderful stay. The staff was helpful and gracious. The double bed was “small” by comparison

Love staying at The Carriage House. Lots of charm, very comfortable and great breakfast !

We had a very enjoyable experience. We stayed in the Toy Room, which is a little small, but we had all the room that was necessary, and it was very clean. The parking space for our car was a little tight, but it was manageable. Breakfast was different than at a hotel, but that too was a good thing. It was a very tasty and healthy sit down meal with time to get to know the people who also stayed there. All in all, it was a very nice experience.

This place is just beautiful!
The ladies working there are great and so friendly.
We very much enjoyed the stay and recommend to anyone!

We enjoyed our stay, it was very cozy. It was a cold night outside, we had a gas stove in our room that kept us very warm! Breakfast was delicious.

Owners were the kindest people, the breakfast served was amazing, and it really just felt like a home away from home!

This was the BEST b'n'b I've stayed at. The room was a fantastic suite (Friendship Room) with a large, queen bed, an oversized sleigh (twin) bed, two very comfortable sitting chairs, AND a power jet jacuzzi. The current owners just bought the place and are doing a fantastic job sliding right into the business. The breakfast- absolutely amazing! LOVED the caramel french toast! Had the fortune of staying here at the same time as a couple who have stayed there every year for their anniversary for 6+ years. They said that it has only gotten better over the years. I highly recommend staying here. I know we will when we visit Winona again!

Nice place, stayed in 'The Toy Room,' it's small but there's plenty of places in the carriage house of main house to sit.

I always enjoy my stay at the Carriage House. The property includes a gazebo, front porch, and screened in porch. There are refrigerators visitors can use, plus Keurig coffee machines and microwaves. Centrally located. Staff always very helpful. Contactless check in

We had a cool room and an AWESOME breakfast. The owner chatted with us over breakfast (from a safe distance across the giant dining room table).

Nice place. Nice accommodations. Good getaway for a day or two. Next to Winona State University, if that is a consideration. Overall good experience.
4.8
Old carriage house remodeled into an inn behind the main house. Tons of antique charm from floor to ceiling.
4.8
A wonderful architectural beauty of a place to stay. Also, such a nice connection with the owner who is very helpful about things to do places to see and leaving one alone to rest and relax!

people and property location were really great building was old and understandably hard to adequately and fully maintain in its entirety ....

Kind and wonderful owners who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We took their recommendations for the Marine Art Museum ( a must see) and a scenic WI drive (including Buena Vista Park, pictured), and were not disappointed
4.8
Nice B&B; it actually is in an old carriage house. Service, cleanliness and breakfast are all first rate. The bed was a little soft for our tastes and there is no TV in the rooms but one is in the common space down stairs.

We enjoyed Don’s patient explanations of the history of the home and community. He also provided us with excellent recommendations for dinner and complimentary tickets to a surprisingly outstanding museum. It was snowing and in the morning Don cleaned off our car before breakfast so we were all set to go. We have no complaints about anything.
