This was the best hotel in our entire stay in Iceland.
The little wooden building with our room was kind of rudimental simplistic from the outside but very nicely equipped and comfortable. The view from the large floor to ceiling window was astonishingly beautiful. The restaurant was also nice, and they served good traditional Icelandic food too. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends. I would like to go back sometimes hopefully in the near future. :)

Decent accommodations, fine for stopping for the night. Has everything you need for the night.

Great location, walking distance to several sightseeing places. For check in, we had to wait a bit as the staff also work at the restaurant . The room is clean, a bit small for 3 people. There is limitation on hot water usage which is understandable.

No frills lodging option that was adequate on its own without unwelcoming staff. When we entered the reception area, we had a very cold and delayed check-in by staff who were more preoccupied with cleaning dishes than addressing their guests. It felt like we were a bother and verbal check-in instructions were unclear. The shower also had an all-in-one shampoo, conditioner and body wash. While satisfactory, this was not a standout.

Amazing food and service; the rooms are very cozy and clean, and our room had a beautiful view of the ocean.

Beautiful location, gorgeous views along the coastline walking trail. Modern hotel with a nice reception and bar area but rooms not very comfortable for three adults. Hot water available in spurts every 20 minutes due to limited boiler capacity.

This is an especially easy hotel and very nice and simple rooms. The area is stunning and close to the national park too. I can’t wait to go back!

This hotel is a little gem situated in a naturally beautiful part of Iceland. Walking distance from the hotel one finds themselves surrounded by the ocean, volcanic cliffs, birds, mountains and Waterfalls. Jump in the can and explore even more, and if you have a 4X4 take the F-Roads up toward the glacier and see the natural marvels this area offers. There is weather, so pack or wear protection against rain and wind — but this is Iceland, so you are proibably already equipped.

It was a nice room. We had a family room that had a king size bed and twin in one room and a twin bed in another room. Also had a small fridge, microwave, table and chairs, and small couch — best part was two bathrooms. The location was awesome, such beautiful shoreline and mountains. Only complaint is breakfast wasn’t included.

This was such a unique place to stay. The setting is incredible with a cliffside walk right outside. The room was quite small and no extra pillows or blankets, and it was really utilitarian but fine. The restaurant food was mediocre at best but I understand why it's so expensive because it's soooo rural. If you stay here keep in mind that there's not really anything around for over an hour. BUT, we saw a spectacular northern lights display around 8pm and it was absolutely one of the highlights of the trip so far. I'm not sure I'd drive that far out of the way to stay there again but it was memorable and unique so I'm glad we did.

We liked this hotel. It was very clean and comfy. Nice bed. We saw the aurora borealis just outside our room, that was amazing!
We didn't have the best experience with the breakfast. Eggs were gone and when we asked the lady about them she wasn't very nice about it.
Otherwise I believe they are a very good choice to stay around the area!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience. The room was nice and had a good atmosphere. It was clean and modern, leaning more towards basic rather than chic. The location, though, was truly beautiful and perfect for witnessing the mesmerizing Aurora Borealis.
One thing to note is that the restaurant closes at 9 pm, so be sure to arrive before then or have some food with you, as there are no dining options nearby. Other than that, it's a great place for nature enthusiasts and Aurora chasers.

This place is absolutely beautiful. Right on the ocean. In a very cool spot. We would definitely come back.

Loved our stay here. The property was clean and modern. The exterior access to the rooms was unique. A couple nice dining options. Direct access to hiking was very convenient.

Beautiful area. Nice quiet room with a view of the mountains.

Highly recommended; we had a 'Double Standard Room' that was nice and comfortable, one room in a four room building. The restaurant at the property was really good and convenient. We did not try other options in the village. Great ocean-close (5 minute walk) location with stunning views on the footpaths.

Limited hot water was kinda a bummer but other than that it was a perfect location and very peaceful stay

Gorgeous property. The best one we stayed on all holiday. Beautiful and very comfortable rooms. Walk the sea cliffs just outside your door. Good food at the 3 on-site restaurants.

Stayed for one night. Great location for glacier climb and whale watching on north side of peninsula. Clean room- very small for three beds. Almost no place to put luggage. Lav. water cold which seemed odd (shower is warm). Wished that breakfast options had opened earlier with more take away options (expensive buffet was only option). Nice minimal modern design in the landscape.

Over priced, paid about $395 per night, no breakfast. Worst, not even a table in the room. They used cheap plastic stoods as night stands and a short 3 legs stood as table. I chose that hotel for the scenic stops by walking.

Nice area and clean but overpriced for a very small room with a view of the road. Rooms are set back from the ocean.

This hotel has amazing views. Unfortunately if you are more then 2 people, your view is of the mountain and not the sea, but still pretty amazing. The rooms were comfortable.

The hotel is all about the setting. It’s remotely located and rooms include a full glass wall to optimize staring at the night sky. We had a high aurora forecast the night we stayed and managed to see her dance.
