This was a great hotel with an amazing restaurant and very nice staff. Out rooms were really nice with amazing showers! Only the pool area is a bit small.

Lovely property, friendly staff, cute bar and excellent breakfast

This was part of trip where we had a longer stay of 3 nights we really enjoyed it here the hotel had a lot of character, rooms were nice not huge but had all that you needed. It was a good location for very good nearby restaurants, and a nice but busy beach within walking distance, also boat trips within walking distance. The food was amazing very large portions. Anything you need the staff will help with bookings for boat trips and restaurants. Very enjoyable stay.

This place is perfect! 2 minute walk to the beach, amazing rooms, and great food. The staff were really accommodating and generous with their support for activities and queries. On a rainy day, I decided to book a treatment at the spa and it was excellent! My favourite aspect of this venue was their display of South African artists. I adored the art and even managed to visit some of the artists studios after leaving the hotel to make purchases. Highly recommend this venue.

Absolutely love the rectory, it feels like you are at a retreat close to the beach. we always have the most relaxing time here. The decor is amazing, and the establishment is clean and well run.

This place was AMAZING! The staff were lovely. The building itself is an architectural treat, and the room was perfect. The food...wow! For sure, make sure you try the Shakshuka for breakfast. They even packed me a perfect hiking breakfast for a day of early morning hiking. The beach is 2 seconds from the accomodation and was beautiful (and safe!). One a rainy day, I visited their on ground spa and was not disappointed. My favourite thing about the place was their artwork - largely featuring local artists. I loved their art so much I visited one of the artists studios (in Knysna) and bought up big! Clearly...I highly recommend this place :)

We were absolutely spoilt by the hotel staff.
The service was fantastic and little personal touches every day added to the overall experience.
The food was great. Free breakfast had a great selection of freshly prepared dishes.
Lots of space around the pool. 2min walk to the beach, 10min walk along the beach to a few restaurants, ATM, a cafe.
A hidden gem in a perfect location!

Incredible! The rooms are impeccably clean, modern and fresh, and the staff provide many additional thoughtful touches. Dinner was superb in the restaurant, and the location was everything!

Fantastic boutique hotel, beautifully designed, integrating art from South Artists and keeping with the heritage of the property. The staff were friendly, warm and professional and provided an excellent service. The hotel has a lovely pool, and is 2 min walk from the beach.

Excellent in all aspects, would recommend. Under rated dining, both steak and fish cooked to highest level, room large, quirky lay out and very good facilities

Beautiful new hotel set in historic building in lovely gardens right by the beach. The pool area was relaxing and the service was generally great (a few staff seemed new and had to check on things before giving us answers, but everyone was very friendly, warm, and professional). We didn’t eat at the restaurant for dinner but the drinks and breakfast were great. The massage at the spa was just ok, but good value for the price. The beach in front of the hotel is stunning (but the water is freezing), and they will set up beach chairs and umbrellas for you on request. The rooms were new and very comfortable, the only thing we didn’t like is that the open plan shower got water all over the place (though it looked great, not super functional). Overall a wonderful stay, we wished we had planned an additional day here to relax on our road trip.

Easy to find with a good size car park. Beautiful white washed buildings on a hill set back from the bay. The beach was a two minute walk down the hill so there was no direct view of the sea from the rooms.
Check in was very friendly and efficient and we were given a tour of the building, gardens and pool area - all very nice, peaceful and comfortable with interesting artwork by the pool and on the covered verandah eating area.
Pool was refreshing and it was also possible to access the beach via a side gate and short footpath, with staff taking parasol and sun loungers down for guests.
Stayed in Room 1 which had a little garden with two sun loungers and a view of the sea beyond the car park and adjacent small access road.
Room was a good size with a large comfortable bed and soft crisp linens.
Bathroom was also a good size with a toilet off the bathroom, double sinks and a large shower with plenty of hot water and a good flow. Also possible to open the sliding door and have a semi-outside shower. Plenty of towels, including large bath towels all of which were soft.
Room was well equipped with tea/coffee station, refrigerator, safe, air conditioning and fan. Everywhere was very clean. Wi-fi was best in reception but poor in the room and outside areas.
Breakfast was brought to the table and included continental and hot cooked to order, both very nice. Had dinner twice which was very good.
Service was excellent with very attentive and friendly staff.
Would return.
