Room was fine for the price, simple but comfortable, but the staff were excellent, helpfull and accomadating even when issues arised (issues on my end, not the Inn), breakfast in the morning was also goid.

Hotel was nice but checked out early as the hot water pipes couldn’t be turned off so was impossible to sleep, 28 degrees at night in the room.

Was a nice trip my room was clean but very dusty which I did not like which is why it could’ve been better , the resultant provided food that wasn’t to my standard but everything else was fine

A very well appointed pub with accommodation. Good beers and food. Great cooked breakfast. I found it hard to first locate the entrance to the pub car park and, when i did, hard to park up.

Noisy accommodation near main road....and constant noise in room 2 kitchen extract below did not go off till 9:00 p.m. and then after that you had to content with the humming of the freezers in the kitchen along with the main road it is a listed building the windows are not great

Made mistake i really needy downstairs room so i really stuggled with stairs. Food was really good, nice portions to. Staff good. Little noise comfy bed. All in all good stay, not sort of place id chose if i realised, to stay. But i enjoyed experience. Just to add im 79 years old

I didnt know the area but the photos didnt show the immediate surroundings or anything other than the bed in the rooms.They were not a true representation of the hotel.

Staying nearby to work. The most amazing comfy huge beds (room 9) perfect after a 12 hour day… great friendly staff who gave us rooms with baths as requested.. busy friendly pub and close to amenities. Stayed before and would definitely recommend

I’ve stayed here twice now and each time was absolutely fine. Staff was incredible and very accommodating. I’ve booked again for when I’m travelling up in September and very happy to be staying again here.

Limited breakfast items run out of eggs. Room is unbearably hot windows painted shut and only 3 car spaces which covered in bird poo next day spent £10 on a car wash that day

Arrived at the pub/hotel location and had to wait around 10 minutes to be seen to due to combined service area. Once seen we was quickly give our room keys once we had confirmed identity’s. Before being shown to the hotel entrance and informed around what keys open which doors we asked a couple of questions around our stay which were promptly answered. Once we got to our room we was greeted by a modern and clean room which had a comfortable bed, bedside tables, tv and drink making faculties - the only negative thing was how much we could open the window however we understood why this was restricted (the issue with this we will get to later.) We had an en suit with our room which was clean and contained towels. We had a couple of drinks in the pub, while getting our drinks we was asked by one of the members of staff if we had a fan in the room, we explained that we had a small heater that could be turned cool but no fan and was told that they where trying to put fans in all the rooms. We finished our drinks before going into the local town for food before returning for another drink before retiring back to the room. Once we got back to the room we discovered that we didn’t have a fan in the room which we assumed we was getting - shame on us. We stayed in the room overnight which was really uncomfortable due to the heat and didn’t sleep well. Once using the shower in the morning the water pressure in the shower was poor but manageable. Would stay again but bring fan.

Good place to stay for our one night in the area. Good value. Parking available round the back in a public car park, free on weekends and only £1 a day for other days. Receptionist / Bar Maid was very pleasant (and busy!) and helpful. Thank you.

Perfectly adequate for an ordinary stay. Food fine, and very affordable. Cheery, efficient service (even at busy times). Would happily stay again, in similar circumstances.

Horrible smell of grill or deep fat fryer coming from the bathroom. All my clothes smell horrible. Flaking paint from walls and ceiling. Uneven floors to unbelievable extent. Room no2 was smelly, cold and really bad. I have not experienced anything like that in years.

The staff are so friendly. The food is absolutely bang on! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Room and en-suite were spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable, I slept through the night. I highly recommend the Sun inn and will be booking them in the future.

Walls between rooms must have been made of cardboard as on the first night i could hear someone next door arguing with someone on the phone and they wasnt even shounting,until 0400. Safe to say i didnt sleep well.
