The owners were very hospitable. The hotel is nothing like the pictures. Covers on the bed needed a good wash or overhaul. Nothing to eat on the vicinity. No breakfast as stated on the site. It met our most minimal standards. Personally I would stay again, but would not bring my team. TVs and air did not work in some rooms.

Be prepared for bare bones accommodations. I expected it but was still caught off guard when my knees brush the wall while using the commode. And the absence of hot water in the final day was a nice touch. Will not stay again.

It is a good little hotel for the money. Sort of a transient hotel. I good place to stay in between main accomotions or return home. Very inexpensive, breakfast included. Rooms are small, but clean and decent bathrooms.

Hotel is in a good location in downtown Puerto Plata. It is not close to any specific beach and will require you to take a taxi from the hotel to any beach. Additionally, you would need a taxi to this hotel from the airport. The lobby is VERY misleading and the staff is courteous. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The TV had many many channels to choose from as I settled in at night. I walked Luis Ginebra a few different times during my time there and felt perfectly comfortable and safe.

Very nice location, the price the best i could find, of course you get what you pay for, in the end it has everything you need to spend one or two nights, so it was really good for me.
