Good locations for our visit, food was just ok service was good.
It's an oldie worldy pub with a lot of character but, it needs a bit of TLC, bed was really uncomfortable mattress and pillows need changing and the shower needs to be replaced. It's £90 a night and if honest not really worth it.

Not very clean very old building needs an update.food was very good.

The room and bathroom were very shabby and shower quite tricky to get right. Dinner was basic pub food but service was friendly. A disappointing stay was saved by a nice cooked breakfast and coffee with no waiting for it to arrive.

Well located in a nice quiet village. Very friendly staff. Comfortable. Excellent breakfast

Value for money, good breakfast. Used as base for attending party.

Obviously, most of the reviews were from last year. This property has really gone down. It was dirty. The room hadn’t been cleaned, even the key fob was dirty very disappointed, Doesn’t have a shower as it was dirty and the ceiling was falling down. didn’t stay for breakfast either.
3.9
Run down place, dark, felt quite dirty, shower was unusable due to the height of the tiny cubicle.

I would like to point out that this property is not in Grantham but in South Witham, Grantham. This makes a great deal of difference and took us much longer to find and right out of our way. I suggest you correct this. The address given by you takes you to different part of the area and is confusing. So please correct it and add South Witham to the full address.

Friendly staff very nice food

Absolutely the worse hotel I have stayed in. The pub was OK. But we wasn't there for the pub. The closest thing I can call it is polishing a turd. As in mould on the wall with wallpaper over it and then painted.
Broken tv bracket, no pillow, mould, don't no what they call a single duvet but that wasn't it and it was freezing

Really nice old pub. Room was nice and warm. Bed was comfy. Staff were very helpful. Food was spot on. Really enjoyed our stay

We stayed here this weekend and I loved it. It’s a quirky vibe and an old building but was clean and secure. The food was great and staff were so accommodating. They made every effort to help with anything we needed. Decent size car park, clean rooms, would stay here again!

Genuine village pub - not a village pub with a massive outreach - so don't expect international standards. But the food was good, the room was warm, the bed was comfy and the landlord & staff very friendly. The buuilding is ancient so expect curves and low ceilings and there's a fair few spiders in the tucked away places. But, all in all, a decent place

Old hotel, average food, uncomfortable bed

Family owned & operated by very cordial and caring people. Quiet area in the country with a traditional pub below serving great food and pints of ale.

Room was quite small , but clean bathroom and sheets. No wardrobe only a rail below the tv, headboard loose and damaged the wall behind. Quiet night sleep, good breakfast and friendly staff.

These guys work incredibly hard to make you feel welcome & whilst they are rightly building up the pub side, I'm sure they know there is some work to do on the bedrooms...but that will come in time, they work long hours & there wasn't anything at all, that our room lacked. Just needs a bit of a refresh. The food is delicious & the service excellent...was a great base for us & we'd happily return.

Excellent. Really warm welcoming and friendly, our hosts are making the Blue Cow a destination location. Great breakfasts, comfortable room, cosy pub, great staff. Handily close to the A1 without the traffic noise. Will certainly return. Very central for 5 counties - so lots to explore. AND a terrific selection of Gins to try in the evening after a long days touristing!!

We did a one night stopover at The blue Cow Inn and I guess we got what we paid for. The place was in the middle of being refurbished and the outside beer garden was coming on nicely. Inside was still sorely in need of some upgrading. The bar itself was fine but the room we stayed in was very, very small and in dire need of decorating. Described as a twin room with bathroom we expected the beds to be side by side. However they were at opposite ends of the room - necessary as the room was not wide enough for two together. The shower room was small but clean and probably new - it was fine for what we needed. There was only one teacup provided and no mirror in the bedroom. The ceiling was low as it was an original part of the building, this was fine for us as we are not tall, however even we had to bend our heads to get in the doorway. The beds were comfortable but the room gave the overall impression of being in desperate need of an over hall. The staff were all really nice and the food was good.

A very old and quirky hotel. 14th century with uneven floors tight stairways. Good menu full english breakfast.Tremendous value.

A nice little hotel and pub in a historic village house. The staff was very helpful and my room was clean and well-maintained. There were a few small drawbacks, for example:- the restaurant opening times are very short (18:00-20:30 except Sundays where food is served at lunchtime only)- the door of my room was extemely small - maybe 1.5 m high- my room could be better lit- there was no hot water in the basin in my bathroom in the morningsbut my overall experience was very good, especially for this price.

Staff and locals very friendly and helpful. Easy access to a number of public footpaths for walks.
Our room was quite small, but adequate for one night.

Nice and friendly. Not up market, but that’s expected for the price. Fits for the purpose of a refresh and overnight stay. If you want luxury then you’ll pay twice this price. Friendly staff

Superb friendly hotel and great service.

Stayed for 2 nights in September.
Staff all friendly and helpful. Food and drink at pub good, quick service and good value.
Owners only been there a few months and are doing a good job but parts of the hotel need updating. Celling paper coming away and loft hatch open in ladies loo. Access to some of the rooms is via a mental stair grid, some people may find unnerving. The fairy lights on the stairs aren't strong enough so there is a need for more lighting to guide people up there. Room was clean and no frills. Bathroom dated. Overall for £60 Was good. But would pay a bit more as it is a good location with great potential.
I know the owners are busy finding their feet, so I would stay again with the hope that a bit of modernising and tlc take place.

The food and staff were excellent so welcoming but the room needs updating and the mattress was awful. Would stay there again just because of the amazing staff

Stay bwas ok, very disappointed by the lack of hot water when I got up in the morning. Ended up with a cold shower!

Quirky old building. I have stairs and passage ways could be better lit. Evening meal was pretty good but the breakfast service left a lot to be desired!

We had a fairly small room with en suite. The room was clean but in need of brightening up. The bathroom was small but the shower worked well. The breakfast was good, with a decent range of options.

It’s old and tired looking . Abit TLC would work wonders. The staff are amazing....

Would not like to stay for more than a few days bed was uncomfortable. If u like steak u will like the food, anything else poor took an hour to serve us

Due to forecasted snow we changed our plans to take our camper van to an event so booked last minute. Staff were expecting us and our lovely large room had an additional oil filled radiator which made the room very toasty on such a cold night. We enjoyed our meal and the bar was lively with it being st Patrick’s day but come 11 we enjoyed a quiet relaxing sleep.
