This is a lovely hotel so you won’t be disappointed - shame they couldn’t replenish water and give me a herbal teabag without charging me….as they say if they can be of help let them know but guess not this time…

Great location, wonderful staff, really nice room. Food is great. Genuinely loved our stay in Derry.
Parking can be a be tricky; try not to roll into town during rush hour.
Our car got towed (no fault of our own) and the staff jumped into action. Flawless resolution to what could have been a stressful situation; very much appreciated!

The staff make this hotel, they are incredible!

Staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay great.

Would definitely recommend this boutique hotel where there are no room numbers, just names of rooms using local landmarks. Lisa at check-in was great with a world of knowledge about the city. We walked the old defensive wall at her suggestion and really liked the views from the 1 km walk. They serve you a glass of bubbly (tasted like Proseco) upon check-in. There is a lift which is a plus. We made dinner reservations at their restaurant and it was excellent and the service was great. Prior to that we went and had a drink in their bar located in the basement. Again, great service. The included breakfast the next morning was top notch with the 2 women having omelets and I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon with a toast/jam selection and coffee/fresh squeezed orange juice. You will find nothing wrong with this charming hotel located right downtown. Oh, I forgot that we had a car and there is a very reasonably priced car park that Lisa pointed out only 3 blocks away. Made it easy to leave the car.

This hotel is lovely and the food is superb, but the staff are what truly sets it apart! They are phenomenal. Special thanks to Lisa who went above and beyond for us at every turn and you can tell takes great pride in her city!

We spent one night. The hotel is perfectly located with many local attractions within walking distance The check in was fast and courteous. A welcome glass of wine while the room was being prepared was a nice touch. All the staff were warm and welcoming.
Breakfast the next morning was fabulous. We would definitely stay at Shipquay again.

Shipquay Boutique Hotel is ideally located within Derry - close to the Walls, sights, shops, bars and restaurants.
The staff were very welcoming, check in and check out were warm and efficient, and there were a few lovely treats along the way (I won’t ruin the surprises).
The room was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower.
The breakfast was excellent in terms of the food choice and quality, and the service.
The only negative is that the room we had was not air conditioned. A fan was provided and one window opened, but it was not enough and we were uncomfortably hot throughout.

We had a fantastic stay for my wife's 60th birthday. The location of the Shipquay is perfect for walking to all the Derry tourist spots.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was of the highest quality. Whisky added Porridge for breakfast was unique

Would recommend, lovely food, great dinner and breakfast. Central location,
down sides was no parking and stair well walls a bit grubby which has an impact on first impressions but overall friendly staff and comfortable stay.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant were delicious. Room was clean and included robes, slippers, bottled water and cookies. Parking is the only disadvantage, as the parking lot is several blocks away.

Convenience to center of city. Felt safe walking around. Breakfast very good with great selection. Staff friendly courteous and obliging..nothing too much trouble. Only downside would be no small fridge/coolbox in bedroom. However would still recommend this hotel.

This was such a nice place to stay at. We arrived really late at the hotel and the employee there was lovely. He even offered us some Prosecco to welcome us. It is perfectly situated in Derry. The breakfast was super good too with a great mimosa. Loved this place!

This is an amazing and beautiful place to stay! We loved how cute and quaint it was. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. Amazing!

Nice hotel, but they could have changed the floor carpet. The room was too warm during the night, and the window couldn't be opened much. Possible to park in the street outside. Very good breakfast.

From the outset, the receptionist (Lisa and others) was friendly, warm, professional and welcoming. The other receptionists on staff were the same. Their effort makes a huge difference in the guest experience. The hotel's restaurant was excellent in the food preparation (the fish dishes are superb), the prices are reasonable and the staff is attentive. The room/bed is comfortable. The location is great in the heart of the walled city. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel and very helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here too. Parking is tricky but we worked it out with some help from the staff.

A really nice hotel with super amazing staff. A couple of small points about the room. Having to phone reception for fresh milk is not at all convenient plus a small tray in the shower would not go amiss.
The restaurant was disappointing given how high your expectations had been raised. The egg on the Boxty starter was soft boiled and definitely not poached. The Lamb was full of grizzle and very over cooked plus we were not offered a desert menu. My wife’s food was perfect so I just had an unlucky night.

Wonderful historic hotel inside the walls. Staff were wonderful! Champagne to greet us after our long day. Had dinner and breakfast- both were simply delicious!!! Highly recommend.

Loved everything about Shipquay Boutique Hotel. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The champagne and chocolate truffles are a fabulous beginning to a great stay. The linens and pillows are heavenly. The ideal location was great for exploring and a super fun pub crawl. Breakfast is not to missed, the omelette and coffee are maybe the best we've had. Thanks so much!

We loved our stay at The Shipquay. The rooms were lovely, the toiletries were very nice (including the lavender pillow spray). We had a great view of the river, city hall and the wall. It was a wonderful surprise.
Two important mentions. Parking is a little challenging. The hotel is aware and contacted me before we arrived. Even with that help, it was challenging for two drivers from North America. We figured it out and the staff was super helpful.
Secondly there is a real stand out, the restaurant. We opted to eat dinner at the hotel and it was fabulous. My husband had the burger, made in house with locally sourced beef. I had the Irish Sea Bass, outstanding! If you like fish, you will be thrilled.
All in all I highly recommend th Shipquay.

This should have been great but it wasn’t. We had to switch rooms because the room was unbearably hot with no ventilation & no air. We were put in a lower cost room with no refund & the worst bed, you could feel the springs in the bed. Apparently only some rooms have air & there are fans but they didn’t even know there were. Poor service poor conditions & when informed, little concern. Other rooms were nice but we didn’t have a good experience

This is a wonderful place to stay. Only issue is parking.

Mairead at reception was lovely - welcomed us with bubbly and was incredibly helpful with recommendations around Derry and Jazz Fest. Room was comfortable, and breakfast was wonderful. Will definitely return.
