Great place and location. Remote did not work and tried to contact for assistance and could not reach anyone. Did not spend a lot of time in our room, so not the end of the world for us.

Choices are limited in the area but I have to believe there must be better for a comparable price. Despite Hotels.com listing ‘24x7 front desk’, there isn’t. The sign in reception says to check your email for the room number and the access code. But I never received an email. Heaven knows what you do if you arrive late at night as the automatic doors from the parking area are also keypad secured after dark. The room itself was large although probably did not make the best use of the space with a massively oversized bathroom almost the same size as the rest of the room. Next problem was the huge parking and adjacent petrol station seemed to be an attractive skateboard/e-scooter/football venue for the local 12 year olds. Clearly not a lot for them to do in Hofn on a Friday night. The noise of all of this was becoming a nuisance but no one onsite to assist. Fortunately it must have been bedtime as the noise stopped. Breakfast was optional extra and so we opted out. But a spin off benefit of being next door to a petrol station is there is a mini market store which also served some hot food. Hofn has a good number of restaurants but the hotel is 15 mins walk from them (at the port). Back to the hotel room itself there was poor check on details. One curtain runner was broken. No soap in the dispenser by bathroom sink. No plug in bathroom sink. Toilet seat too small for the toilet. But bed comfy and no noise during the night. For one night it was ok

We didn't see a single employee from the hotel the entire time we stayed there. There was no breakfast option despite supposedly there was one. The parking lot was incredibly icy and I slipped and fell, hurting my back. Specifically, Room 101 had many issues including: the over bed lights did not work with one missing its switch and the other having a burned-out bulb, the couch had a broken leg at the left end, the wooden chair had a broken back and was dangerously unstable.

For a guesthouse this was amazing. The rooms were huge, not cramped in, electronic doors, and the town is close by, and a free breakfast, perfect for a guesthouse

This place was a good one night stay along the Ring Road. We got in late and left very early so didnt interact with any staff. Check in was very straightforward and all of the directions were emailed to me before hand. Its a no frills guesthouse so there wasnt anything spectacular about it. Beds were not the most comfortable but they were ok. The bathroom is very large. Overall i think that if youre looking for a place to stay overnight and want a good price you should consider this place, Didnt here any noise from other guests all night. One convenient thing about this place is that it was nect to a gas station which was very convenient since we needed to fill up fast and catch our early morning tour back at Glacier Lagoon. Didnt try the breakfast but it was offered.

Easy to find. Lots of space to park. Awesome breakfast. However, hairdryer doesn’t work. Also, wrong key code was given in the check in email. Glad that they have a phone in reception area that I could contact their staff immediately.

Great location for us and happy to get a private bathroom included in the price. Bed was comfortable, room spacious and easy self-check in. Only thing breakfast is in a separate building across the road. Was windy and cold to walk there but can't complain. Would stay again! Highly recommend.

Was so surprised about this place. I was dreading but really didnt find anything else better for price.But this a little gem. Its self check-in, have modern touches for opening your door, very clean. The breakfast across the street I didnt get to use because I got confused in the times. But great room.

I had just visited Jökulsárlón and was enthralled with the views. I was ultimately exhausted; showered and fell asleep. The room was so peaceful, and such a wonderful way to end a long day.

There was a sign at reception saying “be back in 5 minutes” but no one was there from 8-2am. The hotel offered wifi, but it didn’t work...when we called to ask why it wasn’t working (since no one was at reception) we got a confusing reaponse which said it would be back on tomorrow afternoon. Since we were only staying the night, it really didn’t help us. After we asked, they did offer a discount...but still. If you’re looking for a place with wifi, like we were, this isn’t really the place for you

An easy to find, basic well presented hotel with rooms along a central corridor and check in using a code which was emailed to us. A member of staff was easily contactable by phone and appeared quickly when we needed them. Tea, coffee, hairdryer, good shower & comfortable beds. Even the pull out bed qas comfortable. There was a good choice of continental breakfast items served in a separate building.
