Finally, a quiet cabin in the woods. The cabin is very clean, well appointed and cozy. I need to return.

Great stay in this beautiful scenic area. Just know it’s a short walk to a shared bathroom.

Lovely rustic clean log cabins and a bonus to have horses out the back.

Lovely place to stay! Would go back in a heartbeat!!

This was an amazing location in the middle of the woods. A great place to unplug. The cabin was comfortable (especially the beds). And while it was a dry cabin (which was not clear when I booked it), the bathroom was not far at all. We really enjoyed playing pool in the main lodge and walking around the beautiful property.

Beautiful cabin with beautiful views! Very quiet and comfortable!!

This is perhaps more a failure of Expedia than fault of the owners negligent description. Anyhow, here is what we observed and weren’t aware of at booking: This is an off the grid cabin without running water. There is no toilet. Restroom facilities are shared -one toilet, one shower- and 50’ away. Bring a flashlight if you have to go at night! There is no mountain view through the tiny 12” by 18” windows nor otherwise, even though advertised. Describing a shelf with a propane cooker and not even a sink as kitchenette I feel is pushing it. This property was rated “outstanding” by Expedia. I suppose in a way, it truly was. None of the other 8 accommodations on our trip compared to it, not even close. Oh, and be aware, the location description is misleading; it is actually 11 miles away from the town Expedia tells you it is located in. You’ll find yourself in a wooded remote area with poor/no cell phone reception. Paying as much for this as a large hotel room with AC, shower, toilet, and running water costs, without being aware of its “unique” features got me off Expedia. There may be a clientele for this type of “roughing it” accommodation, I just wish Expedia & the owner were more upfront with what this really is. Outstanding? Not in my books. Sorry.

The cabin is rustic and very comfortable. My only issue was the lack of outlets in the sleeping area. I use a CPAP and was not able to use it at this property. The separate bath house had a strong cat urine smell, but it is in a nature filled area. The beds were very comfortable and the area extremely quiet.

Wonderfully quiet retreat. Just be aware that some of the cabins share a bathroom that is down a gravel path 50' or so, and that they don't have running water in the sleeping area/kitchen. That said, they do provide water in a huge thermos with a spigot, and the kitchenette is fully equipped. There are board games and a gas fireplace indoors, and table and chairs outside where you can hear the horses nickering while you enjoy the lovely surroundings. Highly recommended!

The cabins were cute. Be prepared to walk down the path to use the restroom. Staff was amazing and extremely helpful and accommodating.

Very rustic...no TV...spiral stairs to bedroom not easily used by older clients. Our "suite" had indoor plumbing, other units did not. Bring food! Site is 10 miles from town, and on a desolate road. Great spot for roughing it...not so hot for aging cityslickers.

Very dissapointed in this "cabin in the woods" There was almost zero communication and no hospitality whatsoever upon arrival. Not even a friendly greeting or any kind of explanation of the amenities or facilities. No wifi password, no food or snacks available, nothing about usage or hours of the shared main lodge, no explanation of the area, local wildlife or things to do. They just handed me the key and vaguely explained the location of our cabin that we had to drive around back to find on our own. They did mention a restroom located behind the cabin but, we did not know that it was a community facility and that there were no private restrooms or showers in our cabin. The dining room was also apparently permanently closed. They never mentioned that either, so we had no access to food, drinks or even any kind of snacks. When I woke up early the next morning around 6am I went upfront to the main lodge to relax so my wife could continue sleeping and it was completely locked up. No, coffee, juice, water or anything available at all. There wasn't even a sign saying when the main lodge would be open or when someone might be around. I waited over an hour but, saw noone else so we packed up and left at 7:30am. It was a cute place but, overall experience was not good at all. Will not return and would not recommend.

If I could give this place 15 stars I would. They upgraded our room for free to a suite, because we were on a long mom daughter road trip and booked a queen bed to share to save money. The place was immaculately clean and very cute. The next day we were headed to Yellowstone and checked out early, but 40 minutes into the trip my child didn’t feel well and we had to turn around. They let us go back to our room until she felt better and we could continue. Just the most uplifting experience of compassion! I will be recommending the place to all my friends and will be back myself!

The cabin was great with three beds, kitchenette, table to sit at. Beds were very comfortable and gas stove kept it nice & warm.
You had to walk to the restroom but we made it work.

Cabin was clean and comfortable. We went knowing it had a shared bathroom but found out upon arrival that we had to walk 40 yards outside to get there. It was no problem bc we were there in warm weather, but it would have been a different story when cooler. We wish that had been made clear on the website description. The location is in a beautiful, rural area 11 miles off the main road.

Great getaway off the grid.

The property was in the woods and very serene with horses and mules, had a pleasing and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were very nice and accomodating.
An improvement could be adding higher intensity light bulbs in the main living area. The room was dimly lighted and reading or writing was difficult.

The cabin was charming and very tidy, with comfortable beds and a very kind hostess. We enjoyed our stay and would book the cabin again in the future. One thing that should be mentioned in the description of the cabin is that there is no plumbing or running water. The bathroom is located down a short gravel trail, and you share the bathroom with at least one other cabin that is adjoining your cabin. It is a duplex situation and not stand-alone. This would have been good to be aware of by putting it in the description.

Monica and Jay have created the perfect Montana experience. We traveled from SC with no idea of what the area would be like. The lodge is simply perfect for the surroundings. They treated us to smores around the firepit and shared where to see wildlife, which we enjoyed. Highly recommend this as a must see stop in your adventures out west.

Nice, cozy, modernly rustic, off grid property with wonderful hosts at 6600 feet of elevation, and town just 15 minutes away. Lots of wildlife around, (saw 7 Moose in one day), plenty of sight-seeing, hiking, biking, motorcycling and snowmobiling opportunities. Check it out and book a nice getaway with someone special.

Wonderful getaway. If you need necessities like TV and internet, this is not for you. Cell service dead zone.
Jolie was a companion during our stay, making sure I was safe to and from the bathroom. Yes, they are in a separate building for the small cabins. Very cozy and homey. Mini fridge was a nice surprise. Monica is very friendly and welcoming. Best night sleep for us in a long time. The mattress and pillows were perfect. I’d love to spend a week here on the next trip.
