This was the coolest hotel experience, ever

Lovely stay and hope to return, staff very friendly and nice additional touches. If you can choose a trailer in the circle although all are nice. Train does not run at night and always a cool ocean breeze. Can walk to town and lots of great places to eat within walking distance. Great location for cyclists to hop on the Ventura or Ojai trail. Amazingly restored and wonderful history on each unique camper.

First class experience while clamping.

This is a unique and interesting place to lay your head. Friendly and helpful staff. Very easy.

A neat alternative to a hotel or Airbnb. Basically glamping in the city. The vintage trailers have been nicely restored and maintained. Fire pits get lit at night and nice hanging by fire with wine and not having to do any of the work. The property is located close to train tracks and at first I was worried but trains stop around 9pm.

Great location and fun stay. The Tesla chargers on the property were a really nice bonus.

This place is a gem from check in to check out! Incredible experience and wonderful, thoughtful and accommodating staff. Thank you, Waypoint! Can’t wait to return :)

Great location and property was so fun!

It was a fun experience to stay in an airstream. It was well appointed and very clean. Sitting out at a fireplace and making smores was great and offered a nice small breakfast in the morning.

Waypoint Ventura exceeded our expectations. They had excellent customer service. The ladies were very kind and helpful. Thank you! This property was very clean and provided just the right amount of amenities for my husband and I to enjoy. Amenities included: two open fire pits, an area for corn hole play, a cute little gift shop that provided board games, cards, books etc.
They also offer s’mores kits and bbq toolsets by request, as well as daily complimentary coffee, freshly baked cookies and citrus infused water near the check in desk. As well as bikes to rent ti explore the area.
This property is within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and breweries. A must visit is Transmission Brewery and Toppers Pizza, which has a beautiful view of the ocean from their lounge area upstairs.
Waypoint is situated next to the train tracks and will occasionally hear and see the train, however is a minor critique considering all the wonderful amenities and amazing customer service this property offers. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend this property to family and friends.

So many special, thoughtful touches and great service. Loved our stay!!! Exceeded our expectations and our airstream was so so comfy and had everything we needed!

Fell in love with our trailer - it was so comfortable and private, and full of considerate and thoughtful touches. Perfect place to stay in Ventura.

Fun place! But note: Front gate does NOT look like the front of the property.
2.5
The retro RV where we stayed was nicely furnished with everything that we needed. The "lot" was nicely decorated with two community (gas) fire pits. The host provided small snacks and drinks in the morning and smores with spiced cider in the evening.
The good:
Friendly staff
Free use of bikes
Walking distance to the beach over a highway overpass
Fairly unique experience for those who have never stayed in a RV
Clean
Train, while it can be loud at times, did not run between 10pm and 8am
Can't really hear traffic from highway 101
Needs a bit more work:
The exhaust fans in our RV did not work - the one in the bathroom was a bit problematic
Some of the paneling in our RV was detached from the ceiling
One heating/cooling unit required a bit of fussing to get the temperature just right for us
Our mattress had a dip in the middle
Overall we had a great time and will not hesitate returning.

Darling place with sweet little touches

Fantastic place! The staff was very engaging and helpful. So many small things that are big that make it feel like a B&B. Access to games, books, corn hole, outdoor fire pit, s’mores, homemade cookies, squeeze your own orange juice, and more. The only negative was in the 6 trailer court (#1-6) maintenance was doing work on one of the trailers at 8am so it was awkward going out side to sit in your own patio or the fire pit community circle as 6 guys are working 20 feet from you. Looking at map, I had hesitance about being so close to 101 but I didn’t notice any noise as the apartment complex that is in between us acts as a noise buffer. Easy access to beach and pier, walking distance to a great taco bar, and a very short distance to Main Street with restaurants, bars, shops and more.

The airstream was cozy, bed was comfy, and the property was close to Main Street. Such a great experience!

Cannot recommend the Waypoint Ventura enough!!
After reading other reviews, I couldn't resist booking this location for a unique experience. We arrived late after a day of travel and the lady at checkin was so pleasant and accommodating. As many others have mentioned, there are so many special touches. We were able to spend some time at the fire to make Smores and borrowed the bikes in the morning to ride along the beach - perfect!
Other reviews have mentioned concerns about how it is located along the train tracks but this is not a problem. We didn't hear a train from the time we went to bed to the time we got up in the morning. Wish we could have stayed longer and if we are ever in the area again we will be back. Thank you Waypoint!

Really enjoyed Waypoint. It is so romantic and well thought of. Personnel was very helpful with recommendations. Will definitely be back again!

What an amazing little place to stay. Waypoint is very unique in what it is, as well as included amenities on site. We loved the “Green Eggs and Ham” trailer, and would stay here again in a heart beat. The fire pits with included s’more’s, free bike rentals, cornhole, and all the little drinks and treats offered at different times of the day. Far exceeded my expectations.

This was a fantastic stay in some very cute trailers. We will be talking about Waypoint for a long time. Staff was very nice and welcoming, the place was clean, and the fire pits were a cool hangout.

Waypoint was outstanding. From the staff to the trailers and the cleanliness of the entire facility. It was perfect. Already figuring out when me and my wife can get back

I needed a short getaway because my family was driving me insane. I picked
Waypoint because I hate hotels and this is as far from a that as you can get without being in a tent. The people that run it are very nice, thorough and professional. The trailers are roomy and beautiful inside. Very comfortable, quiet, great bed and immaculate. There is purified water in little milk bottles, loose tea, and freshly ground coffee with a pour over filter, not a dirty Nespresso machine. There's always fresh coffee and teas in the office. Also, mornings you can make yourself fresh Orange juice. At night it's mulled cider, hot cocoa and the fixings to make s'mores over the fire pit. Finally, it's close to the beach, the pier and Main Street where you can find a plethora of thrift shops.

A great place close to beach and town

Really enjoyed our stay at Waypoint. They've done an incredible job restoring the trailers. They're very nice! Location is amazing and lots of great stuff to see, do, and eat w/in walking distance! We'll definitely be back :)

This was our favorite place to stay on our trip. We are experienced campers so we loved this unique property. Our camper was very clean.
The friendly, professional staff pays attention to little details. They put blankets on the chairs that surround the fire pits each night when they light the fires.
Other reviewers complained about safety and noise, but we disagree. The whole park is security fenced with a locked gate. The park borders the railroad tracks but the trains don't run at night.
My only suggestion is to have all your supplies when you arrive as there isn't a grocery store in walking distance -- only driving.

If you want some thing that is clean, and different, this is the place. The attention to detail is amazing as I had fresh squeezed orange juice, and I could make my own teabags. You can walk to the pier or borrow their cruiser bikes. They have a fire with s’mores and hot cocoa and mulled cider. The campers are glamping without any of the work. My sister and I traveled down the coast and this was one of our favorite hotels.

I like pretty much everything about the property I'm a little big for the small bathrooms but the overall experience was amazing

Such a neat little environment

very cool concept but the location it is in was very misleading. its across the rail road tracks (very loud) in an industrial area, next to a homeless encampment. Did not feel safe walking outside of the security code gate, let alone leaving there after dark.

We LOVED our stay here.. Cozy, comfortable, and easy access to beaches, shopping and eateries. The staff is so attentive. Beverages, cookies and smore kits was a sweet perk, and the firepit was so cozy too. We loved the swings and corn hole game.. Free bikes to use and out door showers to rinse off your feet .. Trailer had all the items we needed for our stay .. We will be back..

Such a cute place! Great location, clean, privacy, outdoor space, cute coffee and tea set up in the morning, free bikes, couldn’t of asked for a better tune. Will stay again!
