Big hotel in central part of city - easy to walk to most tourist destinations. Close to restaurants. Huge breakfast buffet (but we saw one server wipe bottom of his shoe with rag, then use same rag to clean table - that kind of grossed us out).

I’ll never stay at another RIU property. We booked these rooms together 6 months ago. But we were placed 13 floors apart. When asked if we could move to be on the same floor, we were told it was impossible.
While visiting the 26th floor bar, I tried to order an old fashioned, which is a classic cocktail at every bar in earth, including your competitors at Gingko across the street, but your bar manager told me that it was impossible fir your staff to make it.
Even though we were guests in the hotel, we were denied access to the 27th floor on 3 different occasions over 3 days.
The wait for what would turn out to be overcrowded elevators that you couldn’t get on anyway was interminable.
The volume limit on the television was so restrictive that we couldn’t hear it above the sound of the in-room air handler.
The temperature in the rooms was too warm, and also, could not be adjusted in room, we had to open the windows to make it livable, which allowed us to hear Madrid sirens all night long.
It became abundantly clear that you cater to large groups booking seminars or corporate meetings, and 2 couples traveling together
Aren’t very important to you.
I’ve never stayed in a colder, more robotic, inhospitable hotel.

The stay was good, although the room was cold and we needed a heater,
The hotel is probably a bit to big for us.

Great hotel. Has a roof terrace which makes it to busy and overcrowded if you want to relax.

The staff was amazing. I stayed at two other hotels while in Spain and I was struck by how happy, professional
and helpful the staff was - great experience. Thank you!

The hotel is great, with a fantastic location. WARNING, the area is full of expert pickpockets, I had my phone stolen within 30 minutes of leaving the hotel at the Zara store near by.

It’s a huge hotel. Seemed to be several large conferences there so very crowded. Room felt like a cheap motel. Lights were too bright in bathroom and by bed. Needed dimmers. Cheap looking art on walls. Hallways and huge breakfast area felt sterile and unattractive.
Rooftop bar/restaurant on 27th floor has great views with expensive food and drinks.

I would expect much more from a hotel when I'm coming for my wife's birthday. A note is a minimum. We received much more all around the world.
You should do something with banging doors, especially service doors banging from 6 o'clock in the morning ,not letting you sleep

Very good location, right in the Gran Vie, and all major attractions such ad Royal Palace & Plaza of Espana are within walking distance. The City Tour bus (Route 1) is right in front of the hotel which stops at other major museums and park.

Great hotel experience overall! Located in the Plaza España which is walkable and close to dining and shopping. Next to hop on hop off bus stop for city tours. Great buffet breakfast and rooftop bar!

Loved the balcony and the access to the 360 bar. It is in a perfect spot for exploring with plenty of nice restaurants around. Helpful staff and excellent breakfast options (even gluten free bread available) Only downside was the pool was too cold to swim in.
