Lovely hotel with a boutique feel to it whilst maintaining high levels of cleanliness and comfort. Bed & shower fantastic and the staff super friendly and helpful.

We are a Sri Lankan-American family, and we vacationed in Sri Lanka during the summer of 2024. From the moment we booked with The Radh Hotel, we knew we would love our stay. The hotel was quaint, the staff was extremely attentive, and our stay was peaceful. My father, who is a 75-year-old Sri Lankan native, has severe Alzheimer's disease and the staff at The Radh took extra care to attend to his needs and make him feel safe and welcome. I was extremely impressed and felt at ease with the reassurance of the front desk staff.
The front desk manager provided exemplary service to our family. He assisted with SO many needs that we expressed during our stay. Our experience was above and beyond. My daughter enjoyed her birthday at the hotel, as well. She felt very special and was sad to leave.Thank you so much!
We will stay at this hotel again when we return to Sri-Lanka.

Utterley dissapointed and we left the hotel a day early.
We visited the Radh during the Kandy Perahera. We were told to arrive before 2pm to avoid 'inconveniences' due to road closures. We arrived early and our room wasnt ready.
Upon getting our room incorrect bags were brought and we found ants. When we mentioned it the staff did resolve the ant issue.
What was most unnaceptable is that we were never told under any circumstances that we would be unable to exit or enter the hotel after the festival started. We left at 5:30pm and were trapped outside the hotel for 6 hours. To make matters worse it was exteremley crouded, lots of restaurants were shut & were not serving alcohol & taxis were hard to book. As a result we did not get back to the hotel until 11:30pm.
After we left and raised our issues to the Radh their customer service was shocking. They argued there were 5 ants and that we were messaged to say 'arrive before 2pm to avoid inconveniences'. This was not a warning about not being unable to access the property and it was far from inconvenient. Overall, it caused undue stress and upset on our honeymoon & my Wife's birthday.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Radh Hotel. The staff was most welcoming, helpful and polite from the very moment we arrived. They found all the information with traveling that we présented them with, promptly and always with a smile. Our room had a lovely balcony unto the street and yet it was quiet. The bedroom itself was well appointed with a mini fridge filled with complementary drinks and snacks and a kettle to make tea. The bathroom was stylish and the shower spacious. The breakfast buffet presents a vast array of choices from egg dishes such as omelets on demand, bread, jams, fresh fruits, yogurt, cereals but also more local fares such as curry and much more. The location is ideal to tour the stunning city of Kandy. Starting with the temple of the sacred tooth just at the end of the street and lake few step away…

The Radh Hotel is lovely. The rooms are nicely appointed, the staff is kind and helpful, and it is in a perfect location, steps from the temple, shopping, and restaurants.

Customer service is wonderful, very prompt with requests and friendly. The hotel is right in a great central location, next to the temple, lake, and food. Only thing to advise someone else about that we did not know…. The front doors are locked at a certain time at night and you cannot get in, even with a key card. We arrived back on our last night )out of four) after a Homecoming at 1:30 am and could not get in. A guard tried for 10-15 minutes and finally got us in. In the morning I talked to the manager and said we were locked out, and he said they didn’t know we were still out. So great place besides that, just check before if know you are staying out late.

I give Radh Hotel a thumbs up for it’s convenient location right next to the sacred temple, but more importantly, because it was 5 star quality room and amenities for great value. One of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka

Conveniently close to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and the lake.
A non-alcohol hotel, because I’m told of its proximity to the Temple.
Very nice and obliging staff.

Great hotel

Although the hotel was not full, we were put in a room right next to the night time construction (for the hotel's expansion). We had just arrived, were still jet-lagged and spent an awful first night in the hotel. We asked to change rooms the next morning and that was done but not before one of us got sick. After 2 days in bed, we asked about getting a doctor and the hotel was less than helpful. We saw roaches in the dining room. Hotel advertises 2 restaurants, there is only one and the food wasn't very good. It was a disappointing to start to our stay in Sri Lanka.

Beautiful hotel in a great spot! I became unwell whilst staying here and the staff we so lovely and caring. They allowed us to extend our stay and not have to change rooms. They also drove us to and from the hospital when needed.

Great stuff, good location - just the construction-side next to Hotel was loud the first night. But I still can totally recommend

Great location and great hotel common area and rooms. We stayed in a room with a balcony. The breakfast was delicious and would recommend. The staff was nice and attentive. FYI that they do not have driver accommodation on site so if you have a driver, they’ll have to stay elsewhere. Prime location. Would stay again.

Absolutely amazing stay and cannot fault this hotel in any way. Perfect location in the middle of the city. The softest pillows I’ve ever slept on and amazing comfortable bed. His and hers sinks as well. The best hotel during our stay in Sri Lanka and would recommend it to absolutely everyone

The staff and management at the Radh are absolutely wonderful! From the front desk staff, the hosts and hostess in the restaurant, and the gentleman at the front door - all were absolutely wonderful, inviting and friendly. I can't say enough good things about the people.

Lovely city hotel in a really convenient position. Super close to the lake and temple and close to many cute little restaurants and shops. The hotel is clean and modern inside and super comfy beds. The breakfast was good- a nice selection of something for everyone’s taste! Staff were friendly and helpful. I’d recommend to stay here.

Excellent stay here with great breakfast. Service was amazing, location fantastic.
Just one downside: bathroom was very small, could not stand with two people in it. Otherwise easy to recommend!

The hotel was fantastic. It was modern, beautiful, good location and lovely staff. I was only there 1 night and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I arrived late but there are nice cafes around the corner that were open for dinner. I had a room with a balcony and it was lovely having a cup tea watching the sun rise in the morning.
Breakfast was a buffet and there was a wide selection of local and western foods.
Totally recommend this hotel in Kandy.

Stayed for one night at the end of our 8 night stay in Sri Lanka. We stayed in the family room with our kids. It was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great too. Kanishka was especially smiley and helpful.

The Radh is new or newly renovated, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed.
Hotel staff is really friendly and the service is great. The have a hotel car that can be booked at reasonable rates they even picked us up from Dambulla.
The hotel is very centrally located next to the holy precinct and close to the lake, markets and the city center.

The concierge was very helpful and booked us their driver to collect us from the airport and bring us on the 2 hour trip to the hotel. The hotel is located near the Temple of the Sacred Tooth and a short walk to Kandy Lake. Check in was a little slow but the reception team were friendly and eager to please.
We were shown to our room - a decent size but with no real view and a damp smell. Additionally we were only given 1 room card which meant each time we left the room the electric/air con turned off and was slow to cool down again. The room was clean and had a good size bed, firm and soft pillows, a small wardrobe with a safe and a desk area with plug sockets. Bathroom contained a toilet, good powerful shower and 2 sinks.
Tea and instant coffee making facilities and fresh bottled water was provided each day and there is a small fridge in the room.
Internet worked for day 1 in the hotel but none of the supplied codes would work after that.
The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor which offers a local and international menu for breakfast and dinner. We opted for the international breakfast which wasn't great so skipped breakfast on day 2 (much to the hotel's dismay as almost everyone chased us for breakfast!) Due to the proximity to the temple there is no bar on site.
A nice enough hotel in a city with very few nice hotels. The hotel is very small but clean and has what you need in each room. The staff try very hard but have limited English and are often 'over attentive'

Booked the hotel for 1 night. Room 301 was very noisy - next to the service elevator and a random staff room where kids were busy till 3am
The room itself was lovely and comfortable
Breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly and accommodating

Very bad smell from the bathroom. Bad air quality overall in the building and in the restaurant. Staff was great and polite.

I was very impressed with the Radh. The pictures on the expedia listing didn't do it justice, it was nicer!
The staff were absolutely wonderful, and taught me about some of the typical Sri Lankan dishes available for breakfast - it turns out that Hoppers and Dahl is my new favorite. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and will stay here again (hoping to return in 2024).

We received a room upgrade through expedia benefits. It was a a really nice room. The minibar snacks are all complimentary and so was breakfast. Balaji Dosai (highly recommend) is walking distance for other meals and the Sacred Tooth temple is also walking distance. Customer service is great here and they even provided free transportation to and from the train station.

Great location in the heart of the city.
I e-mailed them my train arrival time and my estimated time to walk to the hotel; they said they would send someone to pick me up. Unexpected bonus.
I needed shoe repair while there, and they took care of it for me; very nice.

Honestly I think the hotel is just so so and over priced. I wouldn’t pay more than $60 a night. It’s on a busy street, the rooms are small and the breakfast was terrible at best. The staff are friendly but not much else going for the hotel.
