A delightful stay, super modern rooms with beautiful little touches. It was a bonus having breakfast boxes each morning. A little morning noise from traffic but nothing to bad.

The premise has recently been upgraded and re modelled so was like brand new.
The location was very convenient, access to driveway a little hard to find but stairway access to rooms out back end of hotel were great to get luggage in and out directly.
overall a pleasant and easy experience.
Would stay again.

Beautiful room, clean and quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and things ran so smoothly. They all should be proud of themselves of how hard they work to attain this great level of service.

Loved it. Beautiful modern room with awesome jetted spa bath. Access to shared heritage balcony. Loved that we could have a drink and head upstairs without driving. Great mini breakfast. Bedding lovely and decor stunningly updated. Right in the centre of town. Staff were beautiful.

I loved having the balcony. I could enjoy the afternoon autumn sun while reading and having a coffee.
I liked having the 2 different entrances to the property. Being on foot at all times, and not having to always go a long way round to enter was beneficial.
Not far from the V-line bus stop.
My room being on the main roads and right above the roundabout, the traffic can be a little relentless, but does seem to quieten between 9.30pm and 7-7.30 am.
I would stay there again, no qualms!

Car parking area was a bit ordinary

Paper thin walls. I know it isn’t the hotels fault that a baby was crying all night on one side and the other side the person coughed all night. The truck out the front was dropping kegs off at 4:30am. But just be warned the walls are paper thin and you hear everything. Did not sleep well.

We've stayed at the Royal in previous years and thorougly enjoyed our stay this time. This visit did not disappoint! So close to all the local attractions, shopping and easy to walk to the Lakehouse restaurant for our planned annniversary dinner.
The Royal staff are friendly and helpful, provide great service in the dining areas and very clean and comfortable rooms. One small thing, storing clothes was limited to 4-5 hangers for jackets only and no space for trousers or skirts!

This was exellent value! The room was beautiful staying above the Royal Hotel, complete with a quiant balcony overlooking the township and beyond. The breakfast packs were a nice touch. A little noisy from the pub below, but what do you expect? Will stay again.

When trying to check in we stood in the lobby for over 10 minutes with multiple staff walking passed us, I then reread the check in instructions and they told us to head to the bistro and so we did, a lady came up and said “yes?” Rudely then directed us back to the lobby and still no one helped us. Finally we got checked in by two really nice guys at the bar. At night there were people drinking and screaming outside of our room downstairs until 12am to the point that neither of us could sleep even with earplugs in and we had to be up at 5am to drive to Mildura today which we had to stop and sleep on the side of the road because our night was so bad.

Lovely room clean, with balcony, huge ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities and breakfast pack. Some noise from hotel patrons leaving after midnight but other rooms may not be as noisy.

Surprisingly clean and spacious, recently renovated room in the centre of Daylesford.
Only thing is that on that day they did not serve food until 9pm as described on website due to staff Xmas party. The surroundings do not give lots of choices 7pm in the evening.

Great position in the town area close to shops and restaurants
