I recommend this hotel

this place is a great resort with views for days. staff is more than welcoming in their daily operations and are there to serve. the road way in is definitely a dirt road down the side of the surrounding mountains but our driver was great and got us in and out several times with no issue. very secure on site. i would surely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area

Great place to stay at lago de Coatepeque, just have to drive a bit since this hotel is on the opposite side of the entrance. Excellent Service

Terrible customer service and accused me of stealing a key.

We loved this hotel. The view from our room was amazing. They served breakfast lunch and dinner on their main floor but just about 20 minutes drive there are many restaurants you can visit. The staff at this hotel was very pleasant and kept everything very clean. We woke up early one morning and jumped in the lake, a beautiful experience. We would definitely come back and hopefully for longer.

Beautiful lake location and well constructed concept with easy access to lake activities. However, it is a little far from the main road, so an AWD vehicle is recommended specially in rainy season.

The property is nice but the upkeep is lacking. Broken ceilings in the bar area, water/mold stained walls around the property, in room showers that have no or poor water pressure or no hot water.
We got a two bed room with an odd smell. One of the two beds, when we were ready to go to bed, had a duvet cover whose underside (facing the bed) had a menstrual stain on it (cleary the room had not been properly cleaned as the floors were also dirty and the room's trash can had not been fully emptied). We complained and were ultimately moved to another room that did not have hot water. The hotel manager did not initially make himself available when I asked to speak with him about the blood stain, and I only had a chance to speak with him as I went to him when he finally came to see the blood stain as we were changing rooms. No reparations were offered beyond a change of room.
The people working at the hotel seem to be short staffed and the manager seems to spend his time in his room instead of walking the property to make sure all is running well and that the guests are well taken care of.
Be ready to pay high prices for mediocre quality.

Incredible stay, beautiful property and amazing staff. Jetski’s were awesome, great drinks and food on site I highly recommend this place and their amazing staff. I will be back!

Hotel itself its good, great view of the lake. Friendly staff. The location is kind of far from everything, not recommended uf you're traveling solo. The road to get to the hotel is a five km dirt road full of potholes, you need to drive very slow and careful to not damage your vehicle.

This hotel is situated in an ideal spot; very close to the island so that you see dozens of bird species from it's fabulous deck. The infinity pool is gorgeous as are all the grounds. Well worth the ride to the hotel! They have jet ski, kayaks and even will take you on a boat ride around the lake.
The staff were absolutely spot-on. The food was very good. Rooms were comfortable and they use solar power to heat the shower (very hot water!) and provide power.
Definitely will be back!

The best hotel stay I have ever had!
It's hard to know where to begin
The drive up to the property is a bit sketchy due to the unpaved road with lots of potholes. I drove a sedan and just had to take my time driving slowly and made it safely. The views of the lake are breathtaking from sun up to sundown. The property is sleek, clean, modern and comfortable. My room was quaint and had everything I needed. They even had hot water which is apparently uncommon for the area.
I only stayed 1 day at the property and I wish I had stayed for my whole trip. I was 1 of 2 people staying at the property at the time and I felt like a celebrity who rented to whole place out lol. The whole staff was super kind and were quick to assist me with any of my needs. My first evening there I enjoyed dinner and drinks in the lounge/dining area. The food/drinks were really good, I happened to notice ALOT of geckos which is not something I'm used to so it freaked me out. Eduardo the amazing bar area attendant was super helpful by doing a sweep of my room to check for any critters before I went to sleep. This is not a negative remark against the hotel as that's just the wildlife there.
The next morning I had my complimentary breakfast and then did my complimentary hour long kayak ride, shortly after I did the Jet ski which was $40 for 30 mins. My whole stay was a 10/10 experience and cannot wait to return

Amazing property and staff!
The facilities and views were just perfect for our short stay. We relaxed by the pool, hiked the volcano (which the staff helped arrange transportation for- about an hours drive) and kayaked on the lake.
The road to the hotel is very rough so take note and go slow! There is nothing to do within walking distance of the hotel so this is more of a “stay and play” kind of place. The lake, at least at the moment, wasn’t swimmable, and I hear it won’t be for a while. But they have kayaks, jet skis, paddle boards and boat ride opportunities! The food and service (and bartending skills!) were great! Overall, I highly recommend!

Road is bad but nice hotel

Beautiful place at the very end of the road around Lake Coatepeque. Super clean, great friendly staff, nice swimming pool onsite, private free parking, and the only minor inconvenience is its location, at the very end of the road that goes around Lake Coatepeque, so a bit isolated from everything else. A/C worked perfectly, but if you want to sleep in, do NOT get the rooms with lake views as the sun will shine right on you and even the blackout curtains won’t block it.
Also, hot water pressure was very weak, which seems to be quite common in El Salvador.
That said, a wonderful place with spectacular views of the lake, surrounded by beautiful views and nature at its finest, so I’d highly recommend it!

Excellent customer service, very friendly and helpful staff, clean bedrooms, and ample space. Would definitely recommend. Also the food is good here.

Although the room itself was clean and the panoramic view was beautiful this place is definately overpriced.
The price is soley dependent on the view. Our panoramic view came with a king bed and shower. No hairdryer, or microwave, or fridge. The room does come with a mini bar which you need to give a deposit to have it opened even though the pricing of drinks is labelled on the fridge itself.
The shower water is pretty chilly despite the hot water tank attached. The hotel staff, especially the manager aren't very welcoming and every request is a chore to them. Do not try to come back after dark as we spent 10 minutes banging on the front door and honking our car horn to get in.
They tell you breakfast is included each morning but what they don't tell you is it's only the typical breakfast, so you're given a menu thinking anything is fair game but this isn't the case. Also to get here is a mission, the roads leading to this resort are unpaved and extremely bumpy and rocky with many potholes.
Stayed here for 2 nights but with that said will not be staying again, especially for the price tag.

This is a wonderful hotel, the room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the tile floor was so clean. The view from the room was beautiful, breakfast was delicious, perfect location to explore Santa Ana volcano and the town. The staff was great very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come back

Love the view. The streets need repairs as its located at the end of the lake. The religious service preacher was so loud. We can hear him until 11sh pm. This was on a Tuesday night. Location was great but too far to drive on a terrible road.

This hotel felt like a hidden gem. Not many rooms so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The staff was so kind, attentive and helpful. We had lunch, appetizers and dinner there and the food was always good. We were even able to purchase bottle service there. We spent my birthday there and the staff helped my mom book a mariachi band to surprise me. The rooms and hotel were always clean. we used the Jetski and kayak service had so much fun! When we wanted to go out for dinner the staff helped us with recommendations. The place is so peaceful and relaxing. From the water dock I was able to watch the sunrise, do yoga and even jump into the water from there. I would love to come back here if I visit again.

I do not recommend this place. The staff were extremely rude and the location was far from most of the restaurant. We made a minor change to the reservation and due to miscommunication the staff spoke to us rudely & seemed to tell the rest of the staff of the issue which made us feel extremely uncomfortable. The issue was resolved but one of the staff members (I believe the manager) was being extremely arrogant and would smirk at us when we would walk by the lobby, parking lot, etc. Also, there are no refrigerators or cups in the hotel room. Plus the Wi-Fi was pretty bad. There much better locations at lago of cuatepque! 1/10

Loved the pool and the service. Disliked that it has few amenities and that it closes very early and there is nothing to do in the area to do or buy after 8pm

My wife and I stayed for two days in the room with the lake view. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and is situated near the lake and has stunning views. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff were great and very attentive. The restaurant has good food. The only thing for those that are not from El Salvador or this is your first time in this area, the last stretch of the road to the hotel which is about 3-4 miles was awful. It is narrow, has portions of dirt road with huge holes. So drive slowly or come in a pick up truck. Other than that, this hotel gets 5 out 5 stars from me!!

The hotel has fantastic views. We got there and first thing we did was to try out the Jet skis on the Lake! It was amazingly beautiful. And we were able to drive all over the lake. Then Dinner menu was fantastic. Especially the T-Bone steak. The stuff is friendly and the hotel seemed clean. But once we got back to our rooms we were relaxing watching a movie and then a small scorpion appared to be passing by my left foot. I was spooked and quickly panicked. I went downstairs and let the staff know. They quickly took care of the problem. However i late found out that the stuff leaves home at 10pm. Which means after 10pm you wont be able to get help. The think the hotel owner needs to pay the stuff more so that they can stay and assist the customers. Kinda felt unsafe. But the staff was great.

This property is beautiful, Victor the staff personal really helpful, respectful , nice and knowledge of what he was doing. The Rooms were excellent , excellent view of the lake, everything clean. We loved it and enjoyed it; the food was great. Highly recommended. the only downside is the road to get to the property is really rough , you need a 4x4 vehicle to make it safe.

Great hotel with an amazing view! If you can, go for the lakeview room...totally worth the price!
The road to get to the hotel is VERY rough!! Lots of rocks, holes, etc. We had a Nissan Sentra and I was worried we were not going to make it. I would NOT recommend making the drive at night.
We rented jet skis on property and took a boat ride in the evening and it was perfect!
There really isn't anything to do outside of the hotel so plan accordingly.
We would totally stay there again : )

It is too expensive for what they offer. I paid $200 for a night and it only included a breakfast and the room. The hotel really only offers you a small pool that is full all day. If you want to do any activity in the lake, you need to pay from $40 to $80 cash to a third party to use any jet ski or to have a trip in the boats. The room was very nice with a great view, but the bed was not very clean.
I also forgot to bring my toothbrush and they ask me for $5 dollars for one and $6 for the toothpaste which is completely overpriced considering the brand of the toothbrush costs around 1$ in dollar city.
The food was nice but al overpriced. I consider that for the cost of the room and all, the hotel should offer you at least some lake activities included.
4.0 / 5.0
The area is peaceful, almost secluded which I loved
1.0 / 5.0
Our room smelled like mold. The “garden view” room is simply a window overlooking the garbage filled backyard. For the amount I’m paying this place is definitely not worth it. There are other better options available.
