The location of the property is great. Away from the hustle and bustle of Holbox town it’s nice and quiet and at the bottom of the resort is the lovely hotel restaurant and sand area and then the beach which is lovely and clean. Lovely lounge beds and the staff will bring you cocktails by the beach or food if you like. The restaurant was really convenient as the main town is a good 20 minute walk away, not always possible with a toddler. The pool is a really nice size and covered in enough shade and great for children. Our own bungalow was beautiful and had good mosquito nets. The bathroom is basic but has lovely charm. We had our own balcony to our bungalow with hammock which we could relax on in the evening. The staff were really lovely and friendly at both the restaurant and front desk.

My husband and I had a great time at Blue Holbox. A horrible hurricane hit the island two days before we arrived. The staff did an extraordinary job to make the stay amazing. The resort is right across the road from the beach. The food and staff were awesome. We were walking distance from downtown.

This stay was beyond our wildest dreams!!! Felt like we were in a giant tree house!! Waking up to the sound of birds is awesome! Breakfast buffet was fabulous and a great restaurant with amazing drinks!!

This is a great place to stay. The beach here is much cleaner than the areas towards town with lots of seaweed. Staff is great. I will definitely stay here again

The room was dark and mosquito net had so many holes might as well not have one. When they charged me for the room they charged 72 dollars extra because of the exchange rate. I travel a lot and use expedia and this has never happened to me. They refuse to refund me and claimed it was their policy. They said I should discuss this with expedia. Food was just ok and drinks weren’t good either. I will never stay here again.

Property nice, but LOUD. Dirt road between lodging and beach full of golf carts and people all hours. Construction of cabins left lots of gaps for noise and wind to permeate. Food service was a struggle. Breakfast Buffet was never loaded, folks complaining - best option to order eggs-omelette as desired. Fried fish snack revealed bones that friend nearly choked on. All in, a nice property, close to town. First time visit, so did not know any better. Would look for property on the beach next time

Wonderful experience all around-the spacious room overlooked the ocean and had a lovely balcony - the breakfast was included and was a delicious buffet. The staff was so friendly and helpful with our return transportation - it was a great trip to Holbox made all the better by a perfect hotel.

The bed sheets and bathroom towels had stains, and the mosquito protectors had holes.We had to leave the hotel after 2 nights even thought we had planned to stay 7 nights. The front desk staff would not even attempt to do a partial refund for the nights that were left free. Do NOT stay in this hotel, it does not feel at all like 4 stars, more like 3 and with very bad service.

Holbox is an amazing place, the hotel is in a great location, just by the beach. However rooms are not very comfortable, it's quite basic for the price paid. Also, I felt the reception was looking for any opportunity to take advantages of us ...like I booked a taxi 4hours before my departure and he said he could order it 10min before ( island very small), I finally found one myself and ask him to cancel the one he was going to call like 1hour before, he was trying to make me pay for it while he said he would order it 10 min before...there were few small things like this, that doesn't give you a great impression of the staff/ hotel. He also tried to charge me for the safe in the room..

This place was so wonderful to stay at and the staff was beyond helpful with their arrangements, promises, service, and friendliness. The bungalows are adorable though the hot water water was lukewarm at best. Toilets dont flush well at all however, its island life. The staff arranged our transit from Cancun to the hotel and back and helped make contact with an amazing Doctor that provided aid with Covid Testing as well. The beaches were clean and beautiful and the location provides a really perfect beach setting fot he the island. STAFF. A

What a disappointment! The price of this "hotel", more like a motel, was equal to a 5 star resort in Mexico, but it was so far away from that! First, when I was just booking it, I called the property with a question. A Spanish speaking woman picked up the phone, but because she could understand me, she simply hung up. I called second time, third time, but every time, someone was dropping the call. That should have beena red flag from the starts. When we arrived , it was a cold welcome from a front desk girl. The morning breakfast was strangely hostile. The guy serving us was so angry, unpleasant and irritated, he mixed my order, then finally brought it to us. Never apologized. The next morning it happened again! But this time he started ARGUING with me that I was the one who didn't know what I ordered. Well, coming from a person, who keeps doing it two days in a row! When I told him that his attitude is very unpleasant and customer service is the reason why I would never come back to this hotel or recommend it, i asked for his name, and he said it was Carlos. He also never had a courtesy to apologize for messing up or ruining my breakfast time. At the front desk I asked about him and what his name was, this time it was Christian! I was very confused, because it seemed like one of them was lying. But if you are staying at this property, you'll see a tall skinny arrogant dude in a fedora hat, who obviously doesn't give a damn, you'll know who I'm talking about!

Ideal location, far enough from the town that it is not in the hustle and bustle but close enough that you can easily walk there. Bungalows are a great asset for privacy and for creating an intimate setting as there are only 20 of them. The pool is small so get there early. The grounds are immaculately kept. Breakfast is a treat, the view from the restaurant is dreamy and makes up for the relaxed service. Staff is very welcoming and receptive to any requests. The gym is also in a bungalow open on all sides and is well equipped. Peculiarly, there are no bedside lights and lighting in general should be improved in the bungalows. It’s a great place to stay in Holbox.
