Hotel is pretty amazing with nice swimming pool and excellent facilities. Breakfast has lots of choice and we were upgraded at check in to a huge suite. Only comment would be that the bed matress is very hard and could do with a matress topper but nevertheless I would still give 10 out of 10

It was a very pleasant stay for us. We were very touched by such a big welcome package. The price we paid was very reasonable for a nice room and breakfast included. All the staff members were very nice and kind.

What an excellent place to stay. The hotel is lovely and looks new. But the staff are amazing. Received a huge welcome bag and a farewell gift. Moon in the Buffett is superb. See you all on my next trip back.

The Empress is our ‘must stay’ hotel in Chiang Mai, the highest standards are shown everywhere. Very comfortable rooms, quiet yet an easy walk to the night market and beyond to the old city. The friendly and helpful staff will make your stay memorable.

We stayed in a total of 5 hotels during this vacation trip and Empress provided one of the top service. As a Platinum Hotels.com member, I received a room upgrade with a HUGE complimentary bag of snacks and drinks plus the fridge also had complimentary drinks. The room we received was HUGE!! It was like an apartment in a hotel. There is a 6 person dining table, fridge, living room sectional with TV and desk. The bedroom had a king sized bed with a sitting area also. Great upgrade and customer service. Breakfast is always a HIT in Asia. Huge variety of choices and very good. Hotel is kind of situated in the back of the busy street, which is nice. Night market is a good 20-30 min walk. Very safe because the streets are always busy. Suggestion: to include utensils in the room. There are cups but no utensils especially with a 6-person dining table. Would I stay here again? ABSOLUTELY!! In a heartbeat!!

Beautiful hotel with elegant finishes. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Our entire family was impressed with the facilities. The pool and gym on the 5 th floor are delightful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

The hotel is beautiful. Clean and lovely, the staff are very very attentive, first class. The only downside is the beds are extremely hard , which for Americans , not use to. In talking to others I understand that it is pretty standard but would be helpful if they had the option for a bed topper to be available to soften it up a bit. But otherwise fantastic!

A very pleasant and comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful, and I very much appreciated the free upgrade and welcome gifts. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. The pool was a little bit chilly but a good size.

Was given a bag full of junk food at check in. Perhaps this was to make up for the lack of dining options. Reception staff did not acknowledge me when I came in or out of hotel. Taxi to the airport provided by the hotel was double the going rate.

This is a first class hotel with really nice rooms. We received a generous supply of fruits and snacks. Didn't stay long enough to try the restaurant or spa, but did enjoy the breakfasts very much - huge variety of great food was available.
