Wonderful little hotel in Little River, great views, clean room, excellent service. Our only complaint is not the hotel’s fault as such. The wall between our room and the next room was paper thin, and the internal door that allowed access between the two rooms was a cheap pre-hung internal door (I.e. like you would find at a home goods center), with no insulation. As a result, we could hear our neighboring guests as if they were sitting next to us. They would not shut up. First we got to listen to them “enjoying” each other’s company. Seems they like to use some interesting language, amongst a lot of grunting and groaning. Another couple then showed up and the four of them just had a grand ole time laughing and talking until about 1:00am or so. They settled down for a few hours, then started up again at about 4:30. They weren’t screaming or partying as such, it’s just that the walls were so thin that it felt like they were right there. Made of a long night.

Amazing place to stay…So many positives: Clean, I mean really clean. No dust and dirt on the baseboards or on top of things. Quiet place, you can hear the ocean from your room. Amazing views. Parking is plentiful and right near your room. Nicely decorated and comfortable with nice bedding and towels. Microwave, small fridge, nicely sized closet. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I extended a night and they made it easy. The housekeeping staff is quiet and not bumping into walls and talking loud outside your room…yeah…you know this happens in even the swankiest of places. They even offer a small breakfast. I will recommend the Seafoam to anyone!!!

What an amazing property. Inside - the room was so well done - many upgrades, and the bed was over the top comfortable. Staff was so helpful and kind. They had great recommendations and information about the area, and just lovely to be around. The woods were lovely, easy parking, and beautiful views from the room and patio. So many little extras - it was great!

We had such a comfortable, and relaxing stay at the Seafoam Lodge in Mendocino. The property grounds were immaculate, with beautiful landscaping and a variety of plants that added to the serene atmosphere. Our room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated with modern touches that made it feel like a perfect blend of style and comfort. One of the highlights was the view of the ocean from our balcony, which added an extra touch of tranquility to the experience. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. Great location with a short drive to town.

We were looking for lodging with two queen beds and a sofa to accommodate a family of four adults in one room. Unless you find an Airbnb in the Mendocino area, most bed and breakfast spots are limited with this arrangement. However, we found Seafoam Lodge meeting our needs and providing a great weekend stay in Little River, a short drive to the town of Mendocino.

Here's a revised version of your review: --- The check-in process could have been better and smoother. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived. Additionally, the front desk attendant had the smell of alcohol on his breath. He swapped our room for another one. The breakfast was disappointing, consisting only of coffee, tea, cold bagels, some pastries, and cold drinks. It could definitely be improved. However, the room itself was nice, and we enjoyed our stay.

All rooms had a balcony. It had a huge grassy space to sit and relax and have a picnic. The area was quiet. Staff was friendly. Parking very easy. Room was clean and had comfortable furnishings. Breakfast was simple but we didn’t even expect any so we really appreciated that. Very reasonably priced compared to other options in the area.

Paid full freight for three people. I expected sheets and blankets for the sofa bed, but that was not the case. There was only a bottom sheet. No extra sheets or blankets were to be found anywhere in the room. It was after 10 o’clock when we discovered this. I went to the office, but there was no one there, only a sign that said to call only in case of emergency. No one asked me how my stay was when I checked out. That seemed to confirm for me what I thought about this place. Nevertheless, you will notice if you read the reviews that many other people were quite satisfied. This is not the first time I’ve left a place feeling confused. Perhaps I have too high expectations and standards. I never spend much time in my room when I travel. It was clean enough. Mendocino itself was fabulous and I met many cool people while I was there.

This was such a find. Everything from check in to check out was above average. The decor of the room was wonderful, beds and sofa very comfortable. We loved the view and how the ocean facing entrance was so much glass so you could truly appreciate where you were. It was a memorable trip and we’ll always remember the special little touches the owners include. Don’t miss the complimentary coffee (Thanksgiving brand, so good) and pastries in the mornings. We can’t wait to come back to the Mendocino Area. I almost hate to share this awesome and affordable hideaway with others but I will ☺️.

Stayed for two nights to escape from the heat in the SF East Bay. The receptionist was very welcoming and offered a little gift basket for our dog. The lodge has a wonderful view of the ocean and is on expansive grounds. The room was very well appointed and the bed comfy. We really enjoyed sitting on our balcony watching the sun go down. Will definitely stay here again.

I truly enjoyed this property from the moment we checked it. Kind and thoughtful staff, lovely grounds, room clean and comfortable. Newly updated, just perfect. The views were wonderful and the patios, and porches were incredible relaxing spaces both private to each room and lovely public space. Can't say this enough. The mattress and pillows EXCELLENT. Sweet continental breakfast with homemade muffins and bagels, cereals coffee. I wish we had time to stay longer. The location is also good! Right outside Van Damme State Park the beach, and just 3 minutes from Mendocino. Will come back to Sea Foam Lodge.

This place is gorgeous. We had views of the ocean. It was calm and peaceful, a nice weekend get-away. The staff are incredibly nice. We love that breakfast and coffee are served every morning. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating was because of an ant infestation in our room. We let the front desk know. Eventhough the problem wasn't resolved, they did their best to help with the situation.
