Looked like the room was updated 20 years ago. Poor parking, poor signage and run down.
3.0
Location is great. Rooms could use some updating, but were pretty clean. Had to make multiple calls to get clean towels as three were not enough for two people and six nights.

Location and amenities Clean and quiet Good shower and porch/deck.
We’ll be back!

Very misleading on the website for the accommodations and not handicap accessible for parking or hotel building and the parking period is terrible
Beds very uncomfortable

The property is cute and quaint. It has comfortable beds. My only complaint is the walls are paper thin. We could clearly hear any talking in the hallway and in the room next to us. Other than that it’s a great place. Lots of restaurants to choose from.

Beautiful surroundings

While the property was beautiful, I expected a little bit more from this caliber of hotel. For example, the walls were very thin in my hotel room, and I could hear the TV from the next-door room as well as a crying child most of the night.
Apparently, there was a fitness center that was not functioning.

Despite an awesome location, Shore Club is one of the worst stays I've had at any price yet I paid $375 a night.
I was told I could check in early, but when I got there, they said the cable provider was doing things so we had to wait. Then they told us we can't park in the lot because it is reserved for condo owners. They pointed us towards a first come first served public parking area. We had to finds street parking in a busy resort area.
The hallways were a dank dark blue and led us to our very musty room. There was no way to call the front desk because it was abandoned. The sheets felt like cardboard, the bed horrible, and lighting in the room was inexplicable poor with a range of 5000K LED desk lamps and regular incandescent which made it hard to have them all on at the same time. The room had zero character or comfort. I was awakened at 3 am by somebody stumbling around the room above us as there is no sound insulation anywhere.
In the morning I had to make a pot of coffee in the "breakfast library" myself because there was no one to be found even though the sign told me to "ask front desk attendant" if something needed to be replenished.
There was no maid service but I did find towels in the "CLOSED" exercise room which was converted to store clean linens and towels on the floor and piled on the exercise equipment.
This is a dump taking prime rates from a captive audience attending events at Road America. Here us a typical photo you can expect.

Great location. Good rooms.
Our checkin was not good. We told them we would be very late. When we arrived at 11:30pm, the lobby was open but no one was there. We called multiple phone numbers and none of them worked. Eventually a guy pitched up and told us he’d left our keys at the entrance. They hadn’t given any instructions in this regard, and it was dark so we didn’t see it.

Wonderful Hotel in perfect location!

Smelly, bad breakfast. Room looked okay. No tv remote when tv was left on when we arrived. The building I think is attached to an old church and creaked a bit. Okay service when we checked in. No service when we checked out.

First the staff could not confirm the reservation.
Wanted to charge me even though it was pre paid was quoted a different amount than advertised.
Second I get it’s off seasons but why stuff is on the second floor?
The pool had no towels the fitness center was closed and full of crap.
They said the was a confidential breakfast but it was granola bars and bananas. The coffee machine wasn’t even turned on.
Upon checkout no one was even around.
Place is terrible

The lake is beautiful. The food and restaurants are lovely

The advertising was a lie!!!!! No hot tub, no restaurants, no staff after 8, no bar, no free continental breakfast, parking was ridiculous, no microwave, poorly lit. Very expensive for NOT having what they claimed to have.
10.0
Spacious room and comfortable king sized bedding. Walk in shower and two spray heads, one hand held was great. Hotel location was waling dustance to dining and shops.
3.0
The place is great and you can’t beat the location, but there is no soundproofing at all. I could hear the conversations in the next room over like I was in the room with them. This means everything your neighbors do, from snoring to chatting to getting down and dirty, you will get to be a part of. Every door that opens and closes and every footstep above and beside, is a chance to wake up.

The grounds are beautiful. The lake is stunning and pristine. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are ok, clean but not luxurious. The hotel is pet friendly which is awesome. I recommend this hotel and it's wonderful location!

First off this is a quiet, quaint, peaceful place that is a bit whimsical and boutique like. The lake is beautiful and the little town is cute with the little restaurants and shops. The room was very clean. The negatives are the parking. You cannot park next to where the rooms are, the lot is reserved for other properties so you have to park on the opposite end of the building where you need a different key to enter, but they do not give you that key so that’s an issue. The beds are very uncomfortable. They need to be replaced because there are large dips in the middle of them from overuse. The food that is offered is just “okay”, it is nothing special. The best items were the pot stickers and the cheese curds. The Social and the Tiki bar both were just adequate. There were about 20-30 bees at the different tables at the tiki bar which is sort of an issue. Two of us were stung. The bathrooms at the outdoor pool are very dirty and if you want to shower post lake or pool there, good luck because the water pressure isn’t more than a sprinkle. The pools are heated and the hot tub is a nice temperature. The staff was not the most helpful, I felt like a bit of an inconvenience at times. The bartender at the social was drinking the entire time we were there which is whatever, but he was mixing up drinks and making things incorrectly. The office staff were the most helpful and pleasant of the entire property.
8.0
Great location, beautiful scenery. Drinks at the Tiki bar are very strong, bartenders not very friendly. The rooms were clean and updated, but the beds were horribly uncomfortable and the walls are so thin you can hear the TV and conversation in the next room and above you making sleep difficult.
2.0
Very dated property with no services or food amenities. The room was ok but the building needs a lot of work. No room service, no housekeeping. For $300+ per night it was really weak

Loved the updated room decor, super nice and large outdoor patio! One suggestion I would make is lose the country music at the tiki bar, completely out of place.

BEAUTiful property in serene setting , great for families with beach and pools all within walking distance. new management of property must need some time to work out the kinks but we will be back. bring towels and all necesscities. food and service was not great at tiki bar, they missed meals in our order both times we ate there but I am sure they will get better. overall worth the stay and we will be back.

Vintage resort with all the amenities. Walkable town setting with good restaurants.

There is no elevator which was a problem getting items to the 2nd floor. The railings are boards and not round so that one can hold on. If you would start to fall there is nothing to hold onto to prevent the fall.

The rooms have been remodeled and our clean and inviting. The staff was great and loved the surrounding community and lake. Would have liked to have the heated pool, warmer, but could be just my preference.

The hotel is nice, the linen on the bed are very good. My problem was that there was nobody at the front desk to check in. We finally called the number of the hotel and a lady said she will be there in five minutes. We had a room with a king size bed but there was nothing else to sit on, no chair of any kind. Shortly after check in there was somebody above us with kids. The children were running back and forth all evening. I called the front desk to complain to see if something could be done, but Nobody again at the front desk. What is going on??????? A little later the people next to us had a party with a lot of noise, but again nobody at the front desk. When we checked out the girl at the desk said she just listened to our message and was sorry for all the trouble. I would think that after all the trouble we had they would compensate us somehow but nothing was done. If you spend $200 for a room you expect everything would be nice. Needless to say we are not happy.

Beautiful grounds and well located. Tiki bar is great, the lawns are gorgeous and the game room and pool were a big hit with the kids. All the games worked and the big leather couch was comfy. After hours there is no staff available and while they might say there is a text concierge service, I got no reply to my two texts about needing a hair dryer or there being vomit all over the mens toilet at the pool. Went for the “grab and go” breakfast, but even at 8:15 no staff in the check in area and door locked and lights were out. So after you check in, you’re kinda on your own.

Nice location. The property is in the village so shopping and dining are within walking distance. The property has a private beach with seating. The Tiki bar is between the beach and the outdoor gated pool area which is nice. Towels were difficult to get. They do not want you using any hotel towel for the indoor or outdoor pool, let alone the beach front. I didn't pack for that so it was a little inconvenient. Drinks were good at the Tiki bar, go anywhere else for food.

Booked the hotel for a 4 night stay. Not overly impressed. Parking is tight as the lot listed for parking was blocked off indicating reserved. Back side view from room is parking lot, Front side is nice park like. No maid service at all during our stay. Helped ourselves to coffee and clean towels. The room was good, bed good, bathroom, good.

Beautiful hotel. Walking to the bathrooms up hill was very dangerous . We had a work event and the food was very good but very cold due to the employee not watching the heat on the warmers.

Rachel at the front office was super nice and helpful. Room was very nice.

Loved the location for its proximity to Road America for the Indycar race weekend. Enjoyed the beach access to the lake and the cute tiki bar. We used the indoor pool and game room with our 9-year-old son. The complimentary breakfast in the lobby/office area was nice but basic. It was super easy to walk to anywhere in downtown Elkhart Lake. The room was nice and comfortable. Only minor complaint is the sliding door on the bathroom would not stay closed on its own which made privacy when you needed it a little difficult. We figured out how to stuff a sock in between the door and the wall to get it to stay closed all the way! We'd definitely stay again.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!! We booked two rooms for our family of 6 on Expedia. Long story short, this hotel was unwilling to give us two rooms next to each other, even with 4 little kids. They wanted to give us two rooms Each on different floors!!!!! They're answer to everything is NO, literally, I wanted water, answer was no, wanted towels: I received a lot of attitude from a worker, Lisa, about this, and continued attitude even after I asked for toilet paper, attitude continued on after she dropped it off to my room. I even had to tell her to stop with her attitude. Pam at the front desk claimed she did everything to get our rooms together. Ok fine... so this family of 6 squished into 1 room with two beds and 1 bathroom. We didn't even take the other room.... With our family situation we couldn't.... Obviously. My husband told Pam we would squeeze into 1 room And told her to credit us for the other room. She agreed, but hasn't done it. Now this is going to be another fight. Aside from that, sheets were unclean... had multiple disgusting stains…. Clearly they don’t change the sheets if they “look” ok on the outside. This hotel is a joke. Where the kindness and customer service? We will never stay at this hotel again and do not recommend it at all to others. We are big on customer service and friendliness, and did not find it here. This hotel has ruined our family vacation. We like to support small businesses, which is why we stayed here, but will not approve

The updated room are nicely renovated. The location of the hotel is convenient to restaurants and shopping. The owners are very gracious, and accommodating. We had a fabulous stay.

Beautiful place but the bed was very very uncomfortable. I had 1 issue and they sent an employee to my room right away which was amazing. My room had a door to adjoin it to the next room and the deadbolt did not work so the 2 were accessible to each other all the time. This was creepy since i could hear someone on the other side..... besides that the place was beautiful and the room was very nice.... just an fyi.... no place delivers food in the area. i tried several places, even the ones the staff suggested for delivery, and they did not deliver.
