I’ve stayed there maybe about five times when I leave or come back in the country. I think next time I’m gonna look for a different hotel. There was really too many problems this time.

The Holiday Inn Quito Airport was the best Holiday Inn that I've been in. The staff was very friendly and professional and the hotel itself was very expansive and beautiful. I will definitely stay here again when passing through Quito.

I called two days in advance to cancel because I had diagnosed with Covid-19. I guess they would have preferred that I show up and put other guests at risk because they did not cancel and refund my stay. The booking agency said they tried several times but the hotel refused. I wish they didn’t care about money as they care about the health of their guests.

The staff greeted us very nicely, we organized the shuttle from the airport and to the airport with ease (just message them in advance), hotel was clean. My only complaint was the fees paid upon arrival. I stayed for one night and was charged an extra $27 for taxes upon arrival, which isn’t a big deal, but I’d like to pay everything upfront when I travel to avoid surprise expenses. Other than that it was lovely.

They had some of the friendliest staff of anywhere we’re ever stayed. The airport shuttle was free, fast and Fernando was a great driver! The breakfast was delicious and started at 5:30 am, so we had plenty of time to make our morning g shuttle.

There overnight. Comfy bed, clean and beautiful rooms. Don’t let the name fool you, it’s not like the USA holiday inns. Five star amenities. The breakfast bar in the am was one of the best meals I had. Absolutely enormous spread with local fare and delicious choices. After traveling all night a big breakfast was a god-send. Will return next yr!

When an AIRPORT hotel charges you almost $400 for attempting to change the dates of your stay due to airline failure it quite dampens your experience with them. I have always stayed at the Airport Holiday Inn in Quito on my way to Loja airport as they are usually the least expensive option- I would’ve continued to stay with them 4x a year or so, but never will again. We were booked to stay there on a Tues. for two nights until our next flight. Unfortunately our flight was canceled outright so our trip was postponed for two days. I attempted to call the hotel upon learning the news that morning around 8:30am and communicated to them that we would like to change the dates of our stay, they told me that seeing as we had booked through Expedia their hands were tied and they could not help. I immediately called Expedia to get them to change the booking but when they called the hotel to gain approval they didn’t answer. Later in the morning I called the hotel again and this situation happened AGAIN, they would answer the phone for me and claim that their hands were tied and then a few minutes later would not answer the phone for Expedia, basically barring me of the option to change my dates UNTIL at around 7pm local time they finally answered the phone for Expedia and told them that they would be charging us for the duration of the stay (almost $400) because we did not cancel before 6:00pm. I don’t even know what to say at this point. I will be taking my business to the Wyndham.

I was charged at arrival additional mandatory costs that were not mentioned when booking. Which lead me to think that they use this maneuver to lower the price on Expedia to seem more cost efficient and valuable per dollar than they really are, in order to capture more costumers. And they deny to provide me with an itemized receipt for those mandatory extra charges (which you must pay at arrival in order to get to your already paid room). I have requested the itemized receipt now 3 times to 3 different people unsuccessfully. I feel scammed. I documented the incident in writing with them and so far they have done nothing about it and I haven’t received even an answer. Awful service.

German cockroaches in the bathroom. Completely absurd that you have to drive halfway around the city through a poorly lit country road to get to the hotel, very inconvenient. Restaurant menu is overpriced even by american hotel standards.
