The exterior is being remodeled and there are signs posted indicating this so that I could have overlooked; however, the interior of the facility looks MUCH better in photos than in person. In the hallways on the 3rd floor (which was the one we were on) the paint was worn in areas, looked like something had been dripping down the walls in others, and just generally looked a bit run down. In our room (313- do NOT let them put you in this one), there were so many areas of the floor that were so weak, that it felt like you might fall through if you stepped on them. I would have asked to change rooms and/or would have left altogether had every other room in town not been booked this weekend. I will say that the staff was friendly and the place might be good again once repairs have been made but i highly disagree with the 8.4 ratings given to it and i definitely do not feel it was worth half of the $200 I paid for the night. I don't like to complain about anything, but this one felt structurally unsafe. Beware.

I’ve stayed at Best Western before and had a much nicer room than this time. This bathroom was apparently handicapped accessible which meant no counter space. The lighting in the bathroom was so bad we had to walk to the room window with a handheld mirror to see. The door didn’t lock correctly. I asked for a top floor room and was told there was none available but the hotel parking lot was nearly empty that day, that night and the day after. Breakfast was terrible. The “eggs” were crumbly like bread crumbs. I looked at staying at LaQuinta next door and it was the same price so I stayed out. Not next time. This was NOT a pleasant stay for the money. Very disappointed.

My mom came. And she’s short. So it was very hard for her to get in the bed. We eventually had to lay the pillow that was on the not the sofa, but the chair. To try to see if that would maybe raise her out to get in the bed. But it kind of didn’t kind of did not. So far on the handicap rooms. I guess you need to figure out if there’s a way you can lower the beds and a little bit. The service was extremely great. I needed something to be printed. And because the computer did not work at that time, she told me email it to their website or their address and then she printed it for me. So that was very very thoughtful.

The room was loud, we could hear every door on our floor closing, the toilet drained all night, the carpet was very stained. Remodeling of the hotel was in progress, not sure how long that will go on.

Check in is at 3pm- we arrived at 4:31PM. We got to our room, it had not been cleaned yet. We notified the front desk, and then we stood in the hallway with our 3 children for almost 40 minutes waiting for them to come and clean our room. Once entering the room, there was water damage & mold. We found 3 dead crickets. A cockroach. And glasses and eye lashes in the pull out sofa. I have contacted the front desk to get some sort of compensation for this stay, and was told I’d receive a call back. Nothing yet. We will never be coming back.

We arrived to check in to hotel. Had paper conformation reservation plus on phone. Hotel said they had no reservation in my name. I gave them conformation. They no room. Tried to reason with them, with no help. We left and went to another hotel.

There was no phone on one of the rooms, and on the other room was a phone but it doesn’t work. Carpet was so dirty and the upper cover had a stain on it .. not very good experience!!

I preach at an annual gospel meeting in nearby Huckabay and this is a great place to rest and prepare sermon notes, etc. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Only hiccup was that, since it was more affordable this time, I got a room with two queen beds instead of one king. One of the beds is very close to the A/C and blocks some of the air, so it was a bit tougher than usual to get the room to cool down. I was on the ground floor (since I've got a busted leg and am using a cane while I recover) in room 101. If you stay in this room you WILL hear the "BEEP BEEP BEEP" of the waffle makers in the morning! I had to be up anyway, so no big deal. There were a couple of very small bugs in the shower. From my experience, this is just part of staying in this part of Texas. Great stay overall!

We checked into room 416 tge sheets had brown bodily fluid stains all over and the room smelled like mildew. We were moved to room 403 and we were awaken at 9:30am by banging noises and machinery. We were unable to open our window due to workers outside of our window looking in- No privacy ..No this reviw wont let me post pictures below..smh

Staff was nice. Was disappointed that tv wouldn’t go full screen even after troubleshooting with front desk. Ice machine didn’t work at all. Our toilet in room wouldn’t flush appropriately so we were afraid to even use it. Breakfast was not good, coffee was weak, bananas were brown and after all the other failures we didn’t even want to risk trying the food. Probably won’t stay here again. Hotel needs work.

Clean room. Comfy bed. Breakfast was good. Quiet stay with the exception of doors slamming at early hours of the morning. I understand guests leave at all hours but I’ve not stayed in a hotel where the doors slam so loudly. Seems like there would be a way to adjust that and still keep guests safe and secure.

Neither the tv or the phone worked … someone came up and got the tv to work for a little bit . Carpet was dirty …. Bathroom had black hair in the tub and you could tell they had recently painted the ceiling as one giant square was unpainted . Very loud and outdated

Dirty. Bugs everywhere, cigarette holes in the bedding. Blood on wall in bathroom. Was called and asked if it was okay to move stuff in bathroom so they could paint over the spots to make it fit our satisfaction. Staff is unresponsive. Would not answer me or the Expedia team that reached out on the check in night or our stay, and came to the room at 12am and opened the door to my room while my kids and I were sleeping. Also looks like it’s under different management as the business cards on the desk have the name marked out and a different one is on the wall. Definitely don’t waste the time with this place.
