Staff was most helpful and friendly. Only complaint was area in front of sink was too small. Perhaps if bathroom door swung inward instead of outward, It would work better. What can I say, but a man must have designed it! Just ask a woman next time! We enjoyed 2 quiet restful nights. Thank you

Need a bathroom nightlight.

We enjoyed our stay, beds were comfortable and actually the room was better than I expected. It had more amenities than I expected.
We booked it last minute, I was looking to be close to Acadia. The room smells a little musty, but it didn’t spread to my belongings. The costumer service was great, we did get a phone call to confirm our arrival time, if we would arrive later than 10:30pm he would give us a code to get in.

Last minute stay as we added a day to our trip. BEST HOTEL BED IVE EVER SLEPT IN!! My husband and I are bed people we need a comfy bed and this bed was amazing. I wish our whole stay was here. Also it’s close to the park right and across from Trenton Lobster Pound.

Great little no frills Inn close to Acadia. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet and the property sounding the area was pretty cute with the tide coming right up to the property.

Check in awesome. Very friendly. Bathroom floor dirty (black crumbs?). Carpet stained and damp feeling. Musty smell to room if ac not on. Walls of bathroom spotted (some paint peeling, other is dirt). Bed comfortable and seemed clean. Kuerig machine provided, as well as little fridge and blow dryer. Iron available upon request. Quiet stay.

Not the cleanliness. Bed was comfortable. Needs significant updating. I wouldn't recommend for a stay over a couple days but for the price and location it was doable.

The hotel was right on the water with a beautiful view. Away from the business of Bar Harbor downtown area but convenient for driving around Acadia National Park.

No regular coffee even on request. Broken glass on balcony even after reporting it. Only good thing was a comfortable mattress

Quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. It was lovely sitting out along the water listening to the birds. Friendly and clean. Great place to stay.

This was advertised as an ocean front property. We did have a balcony that overlooked the water but it was more a bay than oceanfront. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The bathroom sink was right next to the entrance door. There were no elevators (only 2 floors)and the stairs leading up to the second floor were on the outside of the building and very old and steep. There was a refrigerator and hair dryer but no iron or microwave. No breakfast available but did a kurig coffee maker in room. The walls were very thin and unfortunately for us the people next to us had their tv on loud all night. The ac was hard to operate/regulate. We’ve come to realize in this part of the country you rarely see chain hotels and most are old and privately run. It wasn’t horrible but if I ever came back would look for a different option. Rates are crazy this time of year but I was hoping $216 a night would get us a better place. Also they charged $10 per additional person after 1??

It was very comfortable and the view we had was stunning! I would definitely stay here again!

I have no complaints with this hotel. It was reasonably priced compared to everything else in the area in July. The room is definitely a little dated but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower seemed fairly new and clean. I think some other reviewers expectations were a little high especially for the price point. You’re not going to a 4-5 star room at this price point in the summer.

Safety concern door security lock, 3/8” gap around door seemed really unsafe.

It was a bit pricey for a motel style room.
8.0
The hotel has a good view and quiet.
on Expedia site, it said that this hotel is 5-6 minutes walk to the Acadia Park, but the truth is that it takes 10- 15 minutes to drive to the Park.
In addition, the hotel has charged $65 more than the original online booking.

The room was clean, which is the only positive, although there was a pervasive musty smell. The rooms and some of the furnishings are very old and decrepit. My son forgot a stuffed animal that has a lot of sentimental value in our room. No doubt the cleaning staff would have found it, but it was not turned in and the hotel did not respond to my follow up calls. In retrospect I would have much rather slept in my car.

Was overpriced during columbus weekend.

Nothing special about this property, except the view of the lake if you had a waterfront room which we did not

The hotel was very expensive for the condition of the room and hotel. It was very musty and had a damp smell inside. The worker/manager was a hard worker and helpful though.
6.0
The hotel is clean but no amenities. There is nothing in the immediate surrounding area and if you plan on spending most of your time in acadia or bar harbor the location is a bit inconvenient. Bar harbor is 15 to 20 min drive and parking dowtown is busy. The rideshare apps dont run in the area and the cab services are limited and expensive.

We left our stuff in the car looked in the room found bed bugs talking to the manager he said that we would not be charged anything because we were not staying he even signed a paper from there found out they changed us even though we didn't stay there so they lie have bed bugs and are liar's never again would stay in our car first

We were promised as sea view room on the reservation whereas we didn't get one
Room does'not have a microwave oven.

Just need to know that the shoreline is a protected species area closed indefinitely to the public. Best place to stay off the island for access.

I wasn't sure what to expect given the mixed nature of the reviews. I was traveling (solo) on a budget for a Sun.-Wed. stay. I stayed in a King room on the side with an island view, and the view did not disappoint. I felt like my room was clean and didn't have any issues. The fridge is small, and there's no microwave so you'll need to be mindful of that. It was also pretty quiet - no more nosier than other hotel stays (that could also be a result of staying early in the week). The manager mentioned housekeeping doesn't come everyday, but I must've gotten lucky because in my case they did. I also thought the manager was friendly. I didn't experience bad traffic leaving the hotel, but I also ventured out early in the morning to beat the crowds in the park (15-30 min away depending on where you're going), anywhere from 6AM to 8 AM. It's not a Hilton or Marriott, but it's decent and safe, and I've definitely stayed at worse places. Considering there are hotels of similar quality 5 minutes up the road in Bar Harbor that are nowhere near the water but cost $100+ more a night (even more if on the water), this was well worth it. Naturally, there are a lot of mosquitos, so you'll likely want bug spray if you choose to sit outside at all, and mosquitos aside, I highly recommend sitting outside and enjoying the view.

Nice place to stay and reasonable compared to other options around Bar Harbor. You can see the view of a sea right in front so that’s a plus. Rooms are decent for the price we paid. Overall good!

There are reviews of hotel having bed bugs. After a bad experience they refused to issue a refund. My family went elsewhere to stay. NOT RECOMMENDED! STAY AWAY.

The hotel was okay because the proximity with Bar Harbor and Acadia park by the road. But this hotel is outdated and the room smelled bad. The housekeeping staff was nice but the receptionist wasn't particulary friendly and didn't seem happy to work here.

Affordable Older hotel with a great view on the water. Easy 20 minute drive into Bar Harbor. A couple restaurants across the street. Very clean. Beds and pillows excellent.

Staff was super friendly. Room was spacious and quiet. Location was Compton the park and restaurants but a little difficult to find from address using Waze or Goggle maps. Once found it’s easy because it’s right of the main road.

Cutting grass before 7am

Carpets look bad Not what I was expecting. The office was remote if anything is needed.

We had a room on the ground floor with very less natural light. The room was smelling musty as if it hasn't been ventilated for ages. It was more of a motel than a hotel.

We paid extra for a view but they painted the glass door white and the one window was so hard water stained there was no view. The hotel needs major repairs

Checked into our room and not only did it smell terrible but there were dirty underwear on the ground and noticeable stains on the walls that haven’t been cleaned. Do not stay here!

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Yes it was a little older. But it was CLEAN! I saw no bugs, no dirt. Nothing that made me stop. My wife and I had the best experience with the staff. Everyone was courteous, and helpful. The view was incredible. You really can see the ocean from the king size suite top floor. I was beyond happy. The beds are a little soft for our taste. But we still stayed 10 days and have no complaints. A true diamond in the rough.

No ice machine, no breakfast and no microwave. These are things travelers look for.
