About this villa rental
Set in a peaceful countryside location in Southern Tuscany, Casa Quintieri is the perfect retreat to get away from it all, whilst providing an excellent base for exploring the towns and cities of Tuscany and nearby Umbria.
Casa Quintieri is a three-storey villa sleeping 17 guests in 8 bedrooms, of which four are en-suite. A further three children can also be accommodated in the loft areas of two of the first-floor bedrooms. Living spaces are also a plenty as this home has two living rooms as well as a wine cellar. Guests can also spend quality time together lounging by the outdoor pool or playing table tennis.
Home-cooked meals made in the professional kitchen can be savoured in the large dining area, or you may wish to prepare something al-fresco on the barbecue and dine under the covered seating, overlooking the breath-taking countryside views of the Cortonesian Mountains and valley. Outside, there is also a vineyard, vegetable garden and olive grove.
Casa Quintieri is a historic abode boasting many original features like wooden beamed ceilings and brick walls to transport you back to days gone by. Yet, the casa also features all the necessary mod-cons for an enjoyable and relaxing holiday, including a dishwasher, Wi-Fi and air-conditioning in all bedrooms.
The villa is ideally located for visiting many of the popular towns and cities of Tuscany and Umbria. The charming town of Cortona, is around half an hour away from the villa and is the place to go for any amenities, as well as bars, restaurants, Renaissance-era buildings and historical sites of interest.
Arezzo and Montepulciano are approximately an hour from Casa Quintieri and are also rich in history. It is worth noting that some of the most prestigious vineyards of Tuscany are also located in Montepulciano, producing the famous vino nobile wines.
Perugia and Pienza are both a little further away, but are equally worth visiting (especially for any foodies). Head to Perugia for the Chocolate Museum and Factory and to Pienza to try pecorino cheese from its hometown.
