Great staff, loving and caring people.

Hotel was very nice, staff did as they should. Breakfast was good and had several attendants continuing to keep things fresh and full.
Our only issue was the parking, we had to park on the street. Our van has a height limit, there were no spaces available were we could fit. They wanted to charge us $25 to park, but if we left and came back it was possible the spaces would be full and we would have paid and still had to park on the street.
It's actually across the street where there's meters, the meters don't charge on weekends, but during week I guess we would have had to keep feeding meter.
Hotel was very nice, obviously upgraded, everything very nice, quiet.
Our room was very big, had a full refrigerator, stove top, microwave, dishes, ect.
We only needed 1 night, but rate was very fair for the property.
We will definitely keep it on our favorites and stay again

Friendly employees and a well-maintained room. I will certainly return.

The WiFi was really slow at connecting. The mattress was a little hard which made it uncomfortable for my wife to sleep.

The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was clean and spacious.
Also very convenient to UAB Hospital.

It was a great stay

The pool was closed when we got there, but they offered us free parking instead to compensate for our disappointment. That’s nice. Breakfast was included but nothing special. The room itself was nice - we had a sitting area and full kitchen. We were rather disappointed to learn they do not clean your room during the stay.

I think parking should be free considering the condition and area available to park in; charging 23 a night for "Valet" parking that was not Valet at all is a little ridiculous to me. Also our toilet was not clean in our room there was strands of hair on it and some kind of stain on the seat which leads me to believe the bathroom as a whole was not cleaned properly all the way! Good thing I travel with clorox wipes and lysol but at the price that it is charged no guest should have to reclean their room. There was a spoon still stuck in the disposal we didn't know that until we ran water in the sink and it look like it was clogged up turned on the disposal and heard the rattling of the spoon. So my guess would be the room was cleaned about 60% but not a full 100. Also had a heavy smokey smell not sure if it was coming from below us or next door but smoke smell was pretty bad. Overall because of the friendliness of the staff and location to the event space I give it a C

Property located at a good location. There are restaurants within walkable distance. However, the hotel still some upgrades, such as newer carpet, refurbished cabinets and clean bathroom. The toilet bowl was moldy.

First, it says newly renovated, when? How many yrs ago? Not my room, it smelled like smoke, there was pot being smelled outside, the carpet was extremely dirty, just from getting up 2x's in the night for bathroom in a 5ft space my whit socks got filthy , next morning , at check out l told them the issues no body wash too, they said why disnt you tell us, well.. it was in the middle of the night l didnt know my sock got filthy, no body wash in shower till morning, the room just wasnt clean, and for those prices ld been better off elsewhere,...hidden charges, nowhere, NOWHERE does it say you'll be charged $23.00 for parking, again ld been better off elsewhere, the next day l find a charge for $100. I call..they said its for incidentals..WHAT? there's NOTHING TO USE no water, no alcohol, nothing in the fridge, honestly they should know already, did they even go in after l left? Did l stay on dirty linens as well,? Who knows, its like you get a deal on a site..then they make sure they still get there money one way or another, this was a most unpleasant stay in a "Marriott" hotel lve EVER experienced, and no-one cared at the desk, just one excuse after another, when you stay in a name like Marriott, or Hilton , or Hyatt you expect service and most cleanliness these are NOT what you get here, l prefer to pay more for a good room and stay experience and l like to find a good deal as well, here? Neither.l feel this hotel is Not the "excellent" said in

So expensive for absolutely no reason, no amenities. 11$ colors light, no organization at the counter. Awful.

Just an overall great hotel.

The property itself is nice, the immediate area surrounding the hotel is right in downtown and some streets you turn down are alittle sketchy

Very accommodating.

the room was great and beds were nice and clean, but lights outside of windows were quite disturbing to sleep. the light came around the blackout curtains. Check in was very
stressful. No fault of your staff ( she was great) but you had some guests that were screaming in the lobby and could not hear at all. Also as this was our first time staying at an urban hotel, was not familiar with parking in entrance to unload luggage and was charged to park car. Surprised at that charge, did not see it mentioned in advertisement.

Being under construction was the least of this place's issues.

First of all, the picture of the hotel on here is photo-shopped to look like it is a freee standing building with no other building in sight. It is surrounded by buildings and sits in the middle of the city. Deceptive photo. The hotel has been remodeled and is nice and modern on the inside, but our room had a wall with a 2'x2' hole cut in the drywall that had been screwed back in place but not taped/spackled. The refridgerator door was had multiple dents in it like someone had thrown a fit and beat on it. The interior door frames were cocked and the doors were hard to open and close and swung open on their own when not closed tightly. The door frames on the stairwells in the hall did not close on their own and did not seal, which is a fire hazzard. The breakfast was ok, but very bland. Suasage was like flavored cardboard and the scrambled eggs where not fresh (powdered). After all that complaining, I have to say the STAFF WAS AWESOME!! Every staff member we came into contact with was polite, engageing and helpful. Good people!

Surprise!!! $23 to park, i did not know that.
we chose the hotel for proximity to legacy arena to see a comedy show. worked perfect for that. we were able to get a LYFT to the show, but then after there were none on the screen at all (930PM). we ended up walking back to the hotel so choosing close turned out to be good.
Nice morning breakfast, and a very friendly staff. Hope you have a good stay too!!

Over the stay was great. First time but won’t be our last. My only issue was the smell from the garbage disposal in the rooms kitchen area. Other than that it was very clean, very well maintained and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Especially ms. keke. Also I give a bonus compliment for having a full coffee bar with hazelnut creamer and not just half&half. Thanks again for the stay!

The room was set up nice, but the bedside tables were dusty, and the shower floor was stained, or I would say “dirty.” The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, but it wasn’t terrible; continental with an addition of powdered eggs and Turkey sausage.
